Keith Embleton (3-40) was the pick of the bowlers for Mold, whose response realised 185 for nine (David Graham 69, Farhan Abdulla 4-39, Salu Sebastian 3-23).
Buckley Seconds climbed into the promotion spots via a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over Llandudno Seconds, who were all out for 55 (Matthew Blunden 5-8). Harri Weigh's unbeaten 35 led Buckley to 56 for one inside 12 overs.

Conor Coady to Rangers transfer delay cleared up as preferred destination revealed amid Wrexham interest

Russell Martin wants the experienced defender as part of his major overhaul as he continues his new era rebuild at Ibrox Rangers are still in the driving seat to land Conor Coady - if they press ahead with the transfer. ‌ Gers have been locked in talks with Leicester City over a move for the former England international. ‌ But Record Sport understands Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes has been refusing to sanction an exit for the 32-year-old. ‌ Coady, 32, is understood to be keen on a switch to Ibrox after being identified by Russell Martin and sporting director Kevin Thelwell as a possible marquee signing. Ambitious Wrexham - owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - have now joined the race as they target Premier League promotion. However, speaking on Hotline Live, our man Keith Jackson revealed that Govan remains Coady's preferred destination if a deal can be agreed. Jackson said: "The information I have received this afternoon has been interesting on this one. "I felt the whole thing felt it was cooling down, but apparently not. "Conor Coady's camp are still really hopeful that this one will get across the line. ‌ "Apparently the reason for the delay - and I did say that it felt Leicester pressed pause on it - what I am hearing is that the new manager Marti Cifuentes is the guy who put a personal block on it. "He was only appointed and unveiled 24 hours or less before Leicester went away to their Austrian summer HQ for pre-season camp and I believe Cifuentes was the guy who said 'nothing gets done until I get away and assess my squad and speak to some of the individuals involved'. "I think that is why everything kind of just stopped for a while with the potential Conor Coady to Rangers deal. ‌ "What I am hearing now is Cifuentes is more amenable to it. I think there is a realisation that it suits all parties and particularly Conor Coady. "However, there is an extra spanner in the works there as over that period Wrexham have made a bit of a push and I think they think they are at the table as well. "The information I am getting still suggests Rangers would be in the box seat if they want to press ahead with the sort of deal that was being discussed with Conor Coady a few weeks ago. "I think that is still the one Conor Coady wants. It remains to be seen if it is still the deal Rangers want. I would be very surprised if it is not."

Wrexham's Thomas hits the heights to win prestigious title

Wrexham AAC ace Walley claimed victory at the English senior championships, which took place in Birmingham. His effort of 5.05-metres was enough to make sure of success in the pole vault. Next up, he is back in Birmingham this weekend for the UK championships. 'I was really pleased,' admitted Walley, a huge Wrexham AFC supporter. 'I won the Welsh title a couple of weeks back. I went to the English championships as a guest. 'I didn't get quite as high as I have been jumping, but it was a good competition.' It was a close competition between Walley and William Lane, as they both cleared 5.05m. 'We were a fair bit above the rest of the field and it was neck and neck,' added Walley. 'It went down to me having less failures.' Looking ahead to this weekend's huge challenge, he said: 'It's the UK championships back in Birmingham. It will be a tough one, but I'm up for it.' Also in winning form was Spencer Jones. He took part in the BMC regional event, in Aberdare, where a personal best of 17-19.90 made sure he won the U13 boys' 3k walk. Adding to the Wrexham good news stories was Amanda Bailey, at the Dolgellau five-mile road race. She was first W50 in a new record time of 36.20, which saw her crossing the line 22nd overall. A trio of talented youngsters made their mark in multiple events at the North Wales junior league meet, in Bangor. There was a hat-trick of triumphs for Spencer Jones in the U13 boys' section. Over at Glossop, Connor Rogers (20.41) was fifth on the day, followed by Mark Hughes (46th in 27.26). Charles Ashley (57th in 28.22) and Stephen Walker (125th in 49.24) tackled the Llangollen event, while Alan Williams (17th in 24.29) raced the Thoulstone parkrun and Mike Robbins (14th in 25.12) was in action at Wepre.
