MSF Describes US- and Israeli-Backed Gaza Aid System as 'Orchestrated Killing'

DayofPal– The international medical organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has issued a report accusing the United States and Israel of facilitating an 'orchestrated killing' operation under the guise of humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza.
In a report titled 'This is not aid. This is orchestrated killing,' released Thursday, MSF demanded the immediate dismantling of the current Gaza humanitarian aid mechanism, which it says is marked by deadly crowd control, intentional targeting of civilians, and the worsening of an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis.
The report focuses on two Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution sites in Rafah, operated under Israeli military control and guarded by U.S.-contracted mercenaries. According to MSF, since these sites opened in May, they have become epicenters of chaos and lethal violence.
'The GHF distribution sites fall dangerously short of any recognised standard for safe and dignified humanitarian distributions,' the report states.
'Nowhere else in the world where MSF operates – including in the most volatile conflict zones – would this level of violence around an 'aid distribution' site be tolerated. This must stop now.'
MSF medical teams, originally stationed in Rafah to provide primary care, now describe their clinics as de facto trauma centers. Over a seven-week span in June and July, clinics in Al-Attar and al-Mawasi received 1,380 injured individuals and 28 dead bodies, many directly from the GHF aid sites.
The wounded included 174 gunshot victims, among them women and children, although the majority were teenage boys and young men. MSF says the pattern of injuries, mainly to lower limb, 'strongly suggests intentional targeting of people within the distribution sites, rather than accidental or indiscriminate fire.'
'People are being shot like animals,' an MSF coordinator said in the report.
'They're not armed. They're not soldiers. They're civilians carrying plastic bags, hoping to bring home some flour or pasta. And my question is: how high is the price they have to pay for one bag of food?'
Beyond gunshot wounds, many patients reportedly suffered from injuries caused by pepper spray, beatings, and suffocation during stampedes. Victims often arrived at clinics covered in dust and sand after taking cover on the ground.
Mass Starvation Gripping Gaza
The MSF report comes amid escalating warnings from humanitarian organizations about a deepening famine across the Gaza Strip. At least 96 Palestinian children and infants have died from malnutrition and starvation, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The overall number of famine-related deaths is approaching 200.
The crisis stems from a prolonged blockade that has restricted the entry of food, medicine, and fuel into the territory for over five months. According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, approximately 1.25 million people are now living under catastrophic hunger conditions, with 96% of the population experiencing severe food insecurity, more than half of them children.
'We have 17,000 children suffering from severe malnutrition,' said the Director of Al-Shifa Hospital.
'This is a generation being starved to death.'
UNICEF recently warned that one in three people in Gaza are going days without food, while the World Health Organization (WHO) named Gaza City as the 'worst-hit' area for child malnutrition. Nearly 20% of children under five there are now acutely malnourished.
Over 100 humanitarian groups, including MSF, Oxfam, and Amnesty International—have warned that 'mass starvation' is rapidly taking hold.
Jagan Chapagain, secretary-general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, stated, 'No one should have to risk their life to get basic humanitarian assistance.'
Ross Smith, Director of Emergencies for the UN's World Food Programme (WFP), issued a grim assessment 'This is not a warning, this is a call to action. This is unlike anything we have seen in this century.'
According to the latest Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) assessment, two out of three famine thresholds for food consumption have been breached across most of Gaza.
The analysis also projected that by the end of September, the entire population would experience high levels of acute food insecurity, with nearly half a million people facing 'catastrophic' hunger.
Michael Fakhri, the UN special rapporteur on the right to food, was unequivocal in his condemnation, 'Israel has built the most efficient starvation machine you can imagine. So while it's always shocking to see people being starved, no one should act surprised. All the information has been out in the open since early 2024.'
'Israel is starving Gaza. It's genocide. It's a crime against humanity. It's a war crime. I have been repeating it and repeating it and repeating it.'

MSF Exposes Gaza Aid Distribution as Orchestrated Killing

DaysofPal – Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has released a searing indictment of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), characterizing its food distribution sites as lethal traps rather than relief points. In the report titled 'This is not aid. This is orchestrated killing.' MSF presents compelling medical data, eyewitness accounts, and direct clinical observations showing that civilians, many desperately seeking food, are being systematically maimed or killed at these sites. Weaponizing Starvation In May 2025, Israeli authorities dismantled the UN-led relief infrastructure and replaced it with a militarized food distribution system managed by GHF. Operating under full Israeli military control with U.S.-supported private contractors, GHF was branded an 'innovative solution,' yet MSF reveals it has instead 'weaponized starvation and curated suffering.' Between June 7 and July 24, MSF's two frontline clinics in southern Gaza received 1,380 casualties, highlighting the staggering human cost of these deadly disturbances. Among them were 28 bodies and 174 individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Disturbingly, 96% of those injured were young men, relentlessly sent by their families into these lethal environments to fetch food. Adding to the horror, MSF treated 71 children with gunshot wounds during this period. Notable cases included a 12-year-old boy with a bullet that passed through his abdomen and an 8-year-old girl shot in the chest. Data from MSF reveals a chilling pattern: in one clinic, 19% of gunshot wounds were to the chest and abdomen, and 11% to the head and neck, indicating targeted violence rather than indiscriminate firing. Similar precision was found in injuries to the lower limbs in another clinic, hinting at deliberate crowd control tactics. A 'Laboratory of Cruelty' Raquel Ayora, MSF's General Director, described GHF distribution sites as 'a laboratory of cruelty.' She recalled scenes of children shot in the chest while reaching for food, stampedes that crushed innocent civilians, and entire crowds being gunned down. In nearly 54 years of humanitarian missions, MSF has 'rarely seen such levels of systematic violence against unarmed civilians.' According to Gaza's Health Ministry, well over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and 7,200 injured while seeking food, most of them at GHF-controlled sites. International agencies, including the UN, have similarly labeled these aid hubs as 'death traps,' urging their closure. Médecins Sans Frontières urgently calls for the immediate dismantling of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's food distribution network, denouncing it as a lethal mechanism rather than a relief effort. The organization demands the swift reinstatement of the United Nations-coordinated humanitarian aid system to ensure safe and impartial access to life-saving supplies. Furthermore, MSF urges governments, particularly the United States, to suspend all financial and political support to the GHF, holding them accountable for enabling what amounts to systematic violence against civilians under the guise of aid. The grim reality revealed by this MSF report is that what is being portrayed as life-saving assistance has actually turned into a tool for dehumanization and even planned murder. 201 Palestinians Starved to Death Under Israel's Gaza Siege, Including 98 Children

DaysofPal – The slow, relentless war of starvation in Gaza is claiming more lives each day. The Ministry of Health said Friday that four more Palestinians, among them children, had starved to death in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 201, including 98 children, since the siege began. These deaths are not the result of scarcity alone, but of an orchestrated blockade. In the same 24-hour period, Israeli forces killed 16 people and wounded 250 others as they tried to reach humanitarian aid distribution points controlled by Israel with US backing. More than 12,249 Palestinians have been wounded, and 1,772 have been shot dead while awaiting or approaching aid since the start of the genocide. World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that people in Gaza are perishing 'not only from hunger and disease, but also in the desperate search for food,' calling for immediate humanitarian corridors to evacuate the sick and wounded. Since May 27 alone, more than 1,600 people have been killed and nearly 12,000 injured while scrambling for food. 'Malnutrition is widespread, and starvation deaths are rising,' Tedros said, describing a population trapped under blockade, repeatedly displaced, and cut off from basic services. A team of UN human rights experts accused Israel on Thursday of intensifying a 'campaign of extermination' against the Palestinian people. They said more than half a million people, a quarter of Gaza's population, are on the brink of famine, while the rest are enduring emergency levels of hunger. Every one of Gaza's 320,000 children under the age of five is at risk of severe malnutrition. 'These crimes are unfolding as Palestinians, especially children, are starving en masse due to the denial of food, water, healthcare, and shelter,' the experts said, adding that so-called humanitarian pauses and airdrops are 'grossly insufficient' to address the scale of the crisis. They stressed that Israel's deliberate obstruction of aid has created living conditions that 'amount to the physical destruction of the Palestinian people in Gaza,' acts they said meet the definition of genocide under international law. The experts also pointed to the killing of more than 1,000 Palestinians by Israeli forces while they waited in aid lines, underscoring that starvation is being used alongside direct violence as a weapon of war. According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, the overall death toll from Israel's genocide has now reached 61,330, the majority women and children, with 152,359 wounded. Thousands more remain entombed beneath the rubble, unreachable to rescue workers. Shortlink for this post:

Malnutrition Deaths in Gaza Surge 35-Fold Since 2023 as Genocide Persists

DaysofPal- Deaths from malnutrition and hunger in the Gaza Strip have skyrocketed, increasing 35-fold since 2023, according to a new report by the Government Media Office in Gaza. The figures shed light on a deepening humanitarian catastrophe caused by the Israeli blockade and ongoing genocide, which has now lasted nearly two years. In a statement issued late Thursday, the office revealed that the number of deaths from malnutrition rose from just 4 deaths in 2023 to 50 in 2024 and an alarming 143 so far in 2025, bringing the total to 197 deaths, most of whom are children. The report confirmed that 96 of the victims were children, while 101 were adults, as famine tightened its grip on the besieged population. The numbers point to a health crisis spiraling out of control, with starvation being used as a weapon by the Israeli occupation amid ongoing genocide. The World Health Organization (WHO) echoed these warnings, stating that hunger-related deaths are rising at a 'deeply concerning' rate. 'Malnutrition is widespread in Gaza, and hunger-related deaths are increasing, raising serious concerns among the international community,' said WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus during a Thursday press conference. According to the WHO, nearly 12,000 children under the age of five were diagnosed with acute malnutrition in July alone, putting them at severe risk of death or irreversible health damage. The situation is exacerbated by the collapse of Gaza's health sector, which is grappling with critical shortages of medicine, fuel, and medical supplies amid near-total destruction and constant bombardment. The WHO urgently called for the immediate reopening of border crossings and unhindered humanitarian access, stressing that international action is needed now to save lives. The United Nations added that hundreds of trucks carrying food, medicine, and essentials must enter Gaza daily to begin reversing the effects of famine. Despite limited aid being allowed in recent weeks under mounting global pressure, the Israeli occupation has reportedly facilitated the looting of aid trucks and protected such actions, worsening the crisis on the ground. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been carrying out a campaign of what rights groups and legal experts have called genocide against the Palestinian population of Gaza. Over the past 672 days, the onslaught has killed 61,258 Palestinians, injured 152,045, and left more than 9,000 missing. The majority of the victims are women and children. In addition to relentless bombings, the Israeli occupation has imposed a suffocating blockade that has pushed Gaza into famine, forced mass displacement, and triggered the collapse of critical infrastructure. Even civilians lining up for food near so-called 'aid centers' have been routinely targeted by Israeli gunfire and airstrikes. As the death toll mounts and starvation spreads, calls are growing for urgent, decisive international intervention, not just to deliver aid, but to stop what Palestinians and global observers alike describe as a deliberate, systematic extermination of a people under siege.
