Immigrants Are Receiving Government Welfare In The UK

Gulf Insider6 days ago
British government figures have revealed that a whopping 1.3 million foreigners are receiving Universal Credit benefits at the taxpayer's expense.
The stats from the Department of Work and Pensions show that in June 1.26 million people, out of a total 7.9 million claimants, received the welfare subsidies.
While Conservative MPs attempted to jump on the Labour government over the findings, Reform leader Nigel Farage noted that it was the Conservative government that introduced the Universal Credit system and facilitated mass immigration for years.
Your party caused all of this. You should be in hiding. https://t.co/mgHi7quMQO — Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) July 15, 2025
The figures also show that the average payment was £1,010 a month, and the overwhelming majority of migrant claimants are unemployed.
Farage added 'for the first time the Department of Work and Pensions have given us some figures that many have wanted for years. The result? There are 1.3 million migrants on Universal Credit, and over half of them don't do any work at all.'
'This goes completely against the lie we've been told for 25 years that immigration's fine because everyone's working and everyone's contributing,' Farage continued.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 1.3m migrants are on Universal Credit and 750k of them don't work at all.Never forget that nearly all of this happened under the Conservatives. pic.twitter.com/34zworeF7e — Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) July 15, 2025
'We can see from this that it's not… some of this has happened since Labour came to power but nearly all of it happened during 14 years of Conservative government,' he further urged.
'And if they dare say a word about these numbers today don't take them seriously and frankly they should be in hiding for what they've done to this country,' Farage asserted.
The stats indicate that the overall monthly cost of Universal Credit to migrants could be as high as one-and-a-quarter billion pounds ($1.6 billion), or £15.2 billion a year.
The number of migrants claiming the welfare is just exponentially increasing month on month.
We are funding a rapidly growing number of lazy foreigners to do sod all. It's a scam. pic.twitter.com/RQ2Dh4YGzA — Rupert Lowe MP (@RupertLowe10) July 15, 2025

Farage: Britain Is Facing Complete "Societal Collapse"

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has warned that unless change is instituted rapidly, Britain will soon succumb to complete societal collapse. 'We live increasingly in a lawless Britain… most people think that Britain has become lawless', Farage remarked Monday at a press conference to launch a new law and order policy platform. 'We're actually facing, in many parts of our country, nothing short of societal collapse,' Farage warned, adding 'People are scared to go out to the shops, scared to let their kids out. That is a society that is degraded, and it's happening very, very rapidly.' Farage further suggested that Britain should leave the European Court of Human Rights in order to restore effective criminal deterrence. Farage maintains that the ECHR undermines the country's ability to deport foreign criminals, terrorists, and illegal migrants, thereby weakening criminal deterrence. He contends that exiting the system would remove legal barriers imposed by foreign judges, and allow the UK to swiftly remove dangerous individuals, free up prison space, reduce taxpayer burdens, and send a strong message that crime by non-citizens will result in certain expulsion. This, in his view, would restore effective deterrence by ensuring consequences are enforced without interference, discouraging both criminal activity and illegal immigration. Among a range of policies he outlined to avoid a descent into societal collapse, Farage suggested outsourcing hardened criminals to foreign jails and a hard-line three-strikes and you're out rule, meaning after three convictions there would be no more rehabilitation for offenders. He noted that one of the most egregious aspects of the collapse is that the government is obsessed with drilling it into the British people that everything is getting better when citizens can see the rampant degradation all around them. 'Huge numbers of law-abiding, taxpaying Britons have also lost respect for the police but in a different way. The idea, the concept that we're living in a system of two-tier policing and two-tier justice under two-tier Keir has really taken hold,' Farage urged. 🚨 NEW: Farage lays out zero tolerance law & order blitz:– Every shoplifting offence prosecuted– Stolen phones traced, doors knocked– Stop & search until knives are off our streets– Knife arches at stations? Absolutely– Fast-track arrests with pop-up custody centres–… — Darren Grimes (@darrengrimes_) July 21, 2025 Farage noted that crimes such as shoplifting and drug taking have been allowed to become a part of everyday life in cities, and that one in three Londoners have now been victims of mobile phone theft. He vowed that his party will work to halve crime in five years if elected to parliament by becoming 'the toughest party on law and order and on crime that this country has ever seen', and instituting 'zero tolerance policing.' Farage also floated the idea of Army run centres for repeat petty criminals to be held in and made to undergo a program of reform. He pointed to Rudy Giuliani's tenure as Mayor of New York City as an example of how to restore law and order in a broken down society. 'We are borrowing from the Giuliani playbook, unashamedly, I think what Rudy Giuliani did to New York in the 1990s was nothing short of a blooming miracle,' Farage stated. He added, 'And as someone who spent over 20 years working for American companies, I was a regular transatlantic commuter, and I saw what one inspired, brave leader with a New York Police Department that wanted to work with him… I saw what could happen, what the potential was. I believe London needs a Giuliani, not a Sadiq Khan.' Farage's full comments are below: Farage's comments come after accusations from major retailers that police have effectively stopped treating shoplifting as crime. They will however, thoroughly investigate spicy social media posts that leftists find offensive. As we've recently highlighted, inner cities in Britain have descended into complete lawless hellholes. It's so bad even normies are noticing the steep decline into the abyss.

Trump blames Hamas for Gaza ceasefire collapse

US President Donald Trump accused Hamas yesterday of not wanting to reach a ceasefire deal in Gaza as Israel said it would explore 'alternative options' to rescue hostages after negotiations had collapsed. An Israeli official meanwhile said air drops of aid would resume soon over the Gaza Strip, where aid groups warned of surging numbers of malnourished children as international concern mounted over the deepening humanitarian crisis after more than 21 months of war. After US and Israeli negotiators quit indirect talks with Hamas in Qatar, Trump said that 'it was was too bad. Hamas didn't really want to make a deal. I think they want to die.' The US president argued that the Palestinian group, whose October 7, 2023 attack on Israel triggered the war, was not ready to hand over the remaining captives held in Gaza because 'they know what happens after you get the final hostages'. His special envoy Steve Witkoff accused Hamas of not 'acting in good faith' in the negotiations that ended on Thursday. A senior Hamas official in turn accused Witkoff of distorting the reality of the talks and walking back on agreements that had been reached between the parties. Witkoff 's 'negative statements... run completely counter to the context in which the last negotiations were held', Bassem Naim told AFP, saying the US envoy was looking to 'serve the Israeli position'. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that 'together with our US allies, we are now considering alternative options to bring our hostages home, end Hamas's terror rule, and secure lasting peace for Israel and our region.' Witkoff similarly said Washington would 'consider alternative options' on Gaza, without elaborating on what they could entail. 'Carnage and famine' More than 100 aid and human rights groups warned this week that 'mass starvation' was spreading in Gaza. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said that a quarter of the young children and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers it had screened at its clinics last week were malnourished, a day after the United Nations said one in five children in Gaza City were suffering from malnutrition. Britain, France and Germany prepared to hold an 'emergency call' yesterday on the deepening humanitarian crisis and to 'discuss what we can do urgently to stop the killing and get people the food they desperately need', British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres yesterday slammed the international community for turning a blind eye to the suffering of starving Palestinians, calling it a 'moral crisis that challenges the global conscience'. Guterres said while he had repeatedly condemned Hamas's 2023 attack on Israel, 'nothing can justify the explosion of death and destruction since.' Italy's top diplomat Antonio Tajani said Rome cannot accept 'carnage and famine' in the Palestinian territory, criticising Israel but stating that his government was not ready to recognise a Palestinian state, like France plans to do. President Emmanuel Macron's announcement on Thursday that France would formally recognise the State of Palestine in September drew a furious rebuke from Israel but was dubbed a 'victory' by Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas.

US Nuclear Weapons Transferred To UK Soil For First Time In Over 15 Years

In a huge development which is no doubt related to recent nuclear saber-rattling in the context of the Ukraine war, the US has likely stationed nuclear weapons in Britain for the first time in more than 15 years, according to The Telegraph and other British media reports. 'An American C-17 transport plane visited RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk on Thursday, making a transatlantic journey from Kirtland Air Force base in New Mexico, where the US Air Force (USAF) stores nuclear bombs,' The Telegraph writes Tuesday. 'Analysts said it was likely that the flight contained nuclear bombs, which were last stationed in the UK in 2008, before being removed under the Obama administration,' the report continues. The British newspaper says that supporting evidence that this is the case includes previously revealed details of an upcoming 'nuclear mission' at Lakenheath. This mission was first made known in unclassified documents that The Telegraph says were likely published by the US government by mistake, or else it could have been an intentional leak in order to signal Russia. The logistics of last Thursday's rare US transatlantic flight from New Mexico also suggests a highly sensitive mission to transfer nuclear assets: The airspace over the base was restricted on Thursday and the aircraft did not immediately return to the US, in what one analyst told The Times appeared to be a 'one-way drop-off'. The plane also refuelled over the east coast of the US which The Aviationist specialist news website said this was a clue that it was flying a priority mission. Separately The Times had also reported the story, including the detail that the US military transport plane which flew to Lakenheath had flown from the US with its transponders on, allowing it to be tracked by foreign governments. One analyst said, 'Flying transpondered C-17s from hot storage in Kirtland to Lakenheath and then returning and not going to a storage facility tells me this is a one-way drop-off flight.' 'Sometimes these particular C-17 flights are flown without transponders. So, the fact that they transpondered, this suggests to me that this has got to be deliberate,' the analyst added. Again, this seems some deliberative 'messaging' to Moscow, coming as President Trump is seeking to pressure the Russian and Ukrainian sides to make progress at the negotiating table. Washington knows it has little leverage, given Kiev forces have remained on a backfoot, and Russia is making slow but steady progress in the east. The Kremlin says that it is 'monitoring' these reports. Recently Russia's strategic doctrine has been updated, given President Putin a little broader interpretation concerning deployment of nuclear weapons. It is believed that Russian tactical nukes are also still on Belarusian soil, which has greatly alarmed Europe.
