F1 Director on Whether a Sequel Was Set up by Movie's Final Scene
director recently revealed whether the mid-credits scene of the movie leads to the sequel, F1 2. The sports drama film starring Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, released in theaters globally on June 27, 2025. Produced by Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton, apart from Pitt, F1 also features Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Kim Bodnia, Callie Cooke, and more.
The Top Gun: Maverick director recently shared whether F1 2 is on the cards following the ending scene of F1.
F1 follows the story of Brad Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes. The veteran Formula 1 racer returns to the track at the request of his friend and APXGP owner, Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem). At the end of the movie, he wins the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Sonny is then shown in Baja, California, in the mid-credits scene. There, he approaches an off-road racing team to see if they are hiring a driver. Next, Sonny is seen hitting the track, and the credits roll. This has led to the speculation that he might continue racing, and a sequel might happen.
While speaking with GQ, director Joseph Kosinski said, 'That's up for the audience to decide. I think we leave it on a really open-ended moment for Sonny, for Kate [played by Kerry Condon], and for Joshua. So yeah, I think there's certainly more to tell of the APXGP team, and where Sonny Hayes goes from here. But that's not my decision.'
Apart from F1 2, Kosinski has also expressed his desire to do a Days of Thunder and F1 crossover if he gets a chance to work with both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Days of Thunder is a 1990 film starring Cruise as a racer, Cole Trickle. (via ComingSoon)
Speaking on this, Joseph Kosinski said, 'Well, right now, it'd be Cole Trickle, who was [Cruise's] Days of Thunder character, we find out that he and Sonny Hayes have a past. They were rivals at some point, maybe crossed paths… I heard about this epic go-kart battle on Interview with a Vampire that Brad and Tom had, and who wouldn't pay to see those two go head-to-head on the track?'

Cockatoo's Attempt To Keep Mom and Dad Apart Is True Toddler Life
Cockatoo's Attempt To Keep Mom and Dad Apart Is True Toddler Life originally appeared on Parade Pets. As a bird mom myself, I can tell you that birds are all basically just strange, feathered toddlers. I only have little Budgies, and they're annoying enough as it is (said with love). Bigger, crazier birds? I can't even imagine actually having one, though I love to watch other people try. Recently, one cute Cockatoo decided that he actually wants to make sure mom and dad are never allowed near each other. His reason for that seems to be that, as long as they're apart, their main focus is going to be him: Charlie Junior the Cockatoo is so dramatic. It's one of the things I love most about him: he's one of the most dramatic birds around. He is fully committed to being the baby, and he's not going to let anything stand in his way. It's hilarious. His favorite parent, by the way, is his dad. He doesn't even try to hide it, even though it offends his mama deeply! His dad didn't even want to get him at first: mom kind of had to force it! He's happy now, and he adores Charlie, but you'd think the bird might show mom some love! He does not care, and Cockatoos do not care if they hurt your feelings, either. In fact, if you teach them mean words, they will literally insult you for fun. Choosing your words carefully around a Cockatoo (or any mimicking bird) is essential, otherwise they could end up with quite a... Colorful tend to have a favorite human, that's just how life goes. There are steps you can take to try to help your chances of being your pet's favorite, like: Feeding them. Being the person who sleeps with/puts them to bed. Sneaking them treats and toys. However, there's sometimes just nothing you can do to prevent them from "imprinting" on someone else. At least they're bonding with someone, right? Even if that someone was the person apprehensive about getting the bird in the first place! Come on, Charlie! 🐶🐾🐾 Cockatoo's Attempt To Keep Mom and Dad Apart Is True Toddler Life first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 30, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 30, 2025, where it first appeared.

Quinta Brunson says some 'Abbott Elementary' cast members want to pursue other projects: 'Show is very time-consuming'
Abbott Elementary was renewed for an impressive fifth season in January, but Quinta Brunson and some of the cast have started to wonder about life out of school. "We are so fortunate and blessed to be on a network TV show for five seasons, and for people to still be fans,' Brunson, who created and stars in the show, told Bustle in a new interview. 'That being said, I have cast members who would love to pursue other projects, and our show is very time-consuming. We shoot about seven months out of the year. That can stop people from being able to do a lot of other things.' She continued, "Right now, I'm receiving scripts, and waiting for that moment that feels like, 'Oh man, this is exactly what I've been looking for.' Abbott has been so successful, and I want to use that success to get other people's projects off the ground." For example, she told the outlet, "I'm always interested in playing against type. I think that's any actor's dream. Right now my type is 'Janine' and 'teacher.' I'm looking forward to moving away from that a little bit." The ABC comedy, which debuted in 2021 and was inspired by Brunson's mother's 40 years as a public school teacher, focuses on the staff at an underfunded public school in Philadelphia. Brunson costars on the Emmy-winning show with a cast that includes Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tyler James Williams, Lisa Ann Walter, Janelle James, William Stanford Davis, and Chris Perfetti. Brunson explained her mantra and approach to being the face of the show to Bustle. "People used to tell me at the beginning of this that the No. 1 on the call sheet sets the tone, and the producer sets the tone — and I'm both of those roles," she said. "I understand now, after doing this for four years, how important it was that I set the tone that I did when we first started." "Sometimes it's as simple as I'm the first one in the morning," she added, "and the way I carry myself in the morning can determine how the rest of the set runs, not only as an actor, but as the creator of the show. I try to come in with a good attitude and a positive attitude, and it's not hard to do. I'm very excited to go to work and appreciative of my cast and crew and naturally want the morale up." A premiere date for season 5 hasn't officially been announced, but the main cast is expected to return. The first four seasons can be streamed now on Hulu.
