Strimmer that cuts grass like a 'hot knife through butter' gets 53% price slash to £42
As we are finally graced with another period of warm weather, many of us want to make the most of it by spending as much time as possible outside in the sun.
For those who are thinking of hosting gatherings for family and friends out in the garden, it is crucial to make sure your lawn is looking clean cut and presentable. While lawnmowers do a great job of tidying up the garden, there are always some pesky areas that the motor can't reach.
That's why it is important to have a strimmer amongst your gardening equipment to finish off the job. It's an added bonus if you have one that is cordless so the user doesn't need to be tackling cables at the same time.
Thankfully, Amazon has slashed the price of the popular SMILOVII 24V Cordless Strimmer in a limited-time deal. Normally retailing at £89.99, gardening lovers can now snap up this lightweight device for only £42.49 - better than half price.
Equipped with two 24V batteries, shoppers will be able to revamp their garden with the added peace of mind that if one battery cuts out while in use, they can simply switch to the other. However, this may be unlikely to happen as the batteries are said to boast a life of up to an hour.
The electric strimmer also comes with three types of blade so shoppers can select the best trimmer for different scenarios. The two 6-inch circular metal blades can be used to cut branches and hard bushes, while the four 6-inch metal blades can cut weed piles and thicker grass in more complex areas.

Product Description
On top of this, shoppers will be given 10 plastic blades that are ideal for trimming lawn tender grass or lawn edges. The strimmer also features a 90 degree cutting head for added ease of use, and a 150 degree protection cover to prevent any grass splashing.
Described as powerful and lightweight, this strimmer also features an adjustable telescopic rod that can be freely moved between 35.4 and 47.2-inches. This allows shoppers to have a more comfortable experience as they can change the device to their preferred length.
Amazon has also reduced the price of the Einhell Power X-Change Cordless Strimmer that comes with a battery and charger. This 18V strimmer usually retails for £89.95, but shoppers can currently buy it for £64.98. Along with 20 blades, the device has a cutting width of 24cm and a blade speed of 8500rpm.
Alternatively, shoppers can buy the McGregor 23cm Cordless Grass Trimmer from Argos for £45. This 18V strimmer comes with a flower guard so users can safely cut around their plants without causing any damage. Designed with comfort in mind, this strimmer comes with an adjustable front handle and a telescopic rod.
Back to Amazon's cordless strimmer, the device currently has a respectable 4.1 star rating from shoppers, with over 2,000 people buying the device in the last 30 days.
One happy shopper wrote: "I'm really pleased with this strimmer tool. It's light and has several attachments for various degrees of need. I have a robot mower which is great but lawn edges aren't done. This is great for finishing the edges.
"I'm 75 and heavy tools are not good. I'd buy this again. It's so easy to use and unlike the nylon cord strimmers this is easy to attach. At about £50 I think it's a good buy and cheaper than getting someone in to do the job."
Homewares deal of the week
It's time to give the home a spring refresh and Dunelm has launched its massive sale.
Sometimes it's all about buying necessities for the home, and these Fifi Dining Chairs that have shoppers bagging multiple are now on offer for £31.50, down from £45, saving 30 percent off the RRP.
Crafted with a solid wooden frame, these chairs can easily be paired with many different dining tables and decorated with comfy cushion. Designed with a modern curved backrest with a scallop feature, this chair would be a cute edition to any home.
Currently available in apricot, blue and natural, there are chairs available for people who want to add a pop of colour to their home, as well as those who want to continue a minimalistic design.
This durable seat is said to offer both style and comfort to its users, and is the ideal choice for family meals or entertaining guests. With dimensions of H 80cm x W 44cm x D 52cm, this chair will comfortably fit under a table without taking up too much space.
Back to the Fifi Dining Chair, Dunelm shoppers have awarded the product a 4.5 star rating, with the vast majority of shoppers praising the chairs for their colour and how easy they are to assemble.
One delighted shopper wrote: "I really love this chair! They are super comfy and they look great! They were very easy to assemble."
With another shopper agreeing: "Lovely comfortable chairs! Waiting for them to come back into stock to order two more!"

Another five-star reviewer added: "For a small cheap strimmer, this is excellent. I only have a small area of grass so didn't need to buy a huge proper lawnmower. This does the job in 10 minutes. No complaints at all."
However, a few shoppers grumbled about the batteries, as one shopper said: "It's a strong garden strimmer, downfall is that the batteries last no longer than an hour. And takes ages for the batteries to charge. Overall good product, but the batteries need some work."
With another customer adding: "Really easy setup and lots of attachments. I have lowers from 5 stars as the battery is hard difficult to remove."
Despite this, one top rating shopper said: "First impression... felt quite lightweight but it all went together without any problems. Gave it a quick test with the steel blade and it was a lot more powerful than I expected. Went through some heavy grass like a hot knife through butter. Maybe not so lightweight after all..."
While a sixth reviewer commented: "This is an excellent addition to your gardening equipment, I have a petrol driven one but this handy little battery operated one does anything my petrol one does and more, especially in awkward places."

Gadget review: ESR Wireless Mouse - I never knew I needed this until I did
I didn't wake up today knowing that I was about to be blown away by a gadget I had never thought about until now. I'm quite easily impressed with gadgets. I like them to work and have a purpose. The ESR MagMouse's brilliance comes via the sheer simplicity of the product. How it works is you connect a little magnetic base to your laptop and then when you aren't using your mouse you just snap it onto the base. That means that you never lose your mouse or leave it in another room when you need it - you can't, as it is attached to the laptop. It also means you get to carry it around wherever you go without having to stick it in your pocket or watch it fall of the laptop lid as you balance it walking downstairs. Sometimes it really is the cleverest ideas that are the best, and in this case certainly the most practical. I genuinely love this and as someone who switches between an office in the loft to the dining room table, it's very handy. It's also very handy out in the field when covering things like football games where you have to transport your equipment a couple of times during a game. My old wireless mouse was a bit of a pain as it took an AA battery and I broke the lid after dropping it, that meant the battery was always a little loose. This just comes with a wireless adapter and a small USB lead that you connect for a really quick charge. Just one minute of charge delivers four of use, and a full 45-minute charge will leave you sorted for a whopping 80 days. There is a switch on the back that lets you flit between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 across Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Android, and Linux. Navigation is a breeze with a four way scroll wheel and I really liked the forward and back buttons which I find really useful for work, particularly when in my emails. The mouse sits really comfortably in your hand and the rubber coating means you never lose grip and it's really practical in terms of use. As with most devices these days there is a button to control the precision. The lowest setting feels like you are dragging a bag of coal over the desktop, so I would suggest somewhere nearer the top end so you can whizz around the screen. The magic here though is definitely the ability to snap it onto your laptop and carry it around, it's a gimmick, but you quickly realise it's a very practical and pleasing gimmick. ESR Wireless Mouse is available for £39.99 from Amazon Reviews Amazon User: "Mouse is way too light, practically weighs nothing. Wrist feels akward when using it, which makes the ease of use not good. Seems to have some lag in the cursor. Clicks are way to silent and often find myself clicking more than once because you cant really feel the clicks. Not for me. The only positive about this mouse is the USB C option it has, which suprisingly nothing comes with these days. Build quality seems ok but kind of cheap." Amazon User: Since I'm on my laptop most of the day, I wanted a wireless mouse that was both comfortable and easy to use, and this one has worked out great. It's lightweight and shaped just right for my hand, so I can use it for hours without strain. The black design looks sleek, and the clicks feel crisp with no delay in the connection. The scroll wheel moves smoothly and with good control. One thing I like a lot is the magnetic base that comes with it. When I'm not using the mouse, I just snap it on the base and pack them together with my laptop. That makes it easy to carry around and helps me avoid leaving it behind.
