No immediate resumption of flights from 32 airports: Union minister Murlidhar Mohol

from 32 airports in north India will not start operations immediately.
"The situation must become normal first. Airports will commence commercial
flight operations
after that.
Right now, the situation is not normal, & ceasefire violations have happened. As and when normalcy returns, airports will be opened for regular flights in phases," Mohol told TOI.
At present, the 32 airports are not operational and Centre said they will resume operations from May 15. These airports, which include Chandigarh, Amritsar, Leh, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jodhpur, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, and Shimla, were closed down in phases starting May 9.

"It is hard to say whether they will resume operations from May 15. The situation has to get normal first. Presently, there are no tourists stuck anywhere. Delhi airport is operational," the minister said.

airfare surge
in other sectors, particularly those connected to Delhi, will happen. There will be a surge due to reduced supply and increased demand on alternative routes," Mehboob Shaikh, director of Travel Elect Private Limited and chairman (central and south Maharashtra) of Travel Agents Association of India, told TOI.

The event saw participation from prominent Jain leaders and dignitaries, including Santosh Jain Pendhari, Dilip Rakhe, Jagdish Gillarkar, Anand Maujilal Jain, and others, who lit the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the program. Rs 125 crore factory complex near medical device park to boost startups
Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched a tender for a flatted factory complex spanning 38,665 sqm near its 350-acre medical device park in Sector 28. The Rs 125-crore complex is to be completed within 24 months and is expected to boost the entry of MSMEs and startups in the area. The complex, proposed to be a five-storey industrial space offering plug-and-play units with built-in utilities and shared amenities, like cafeterias, exhibition halls, parking space, retail shops and lifts, will offer 252 office units on a rental basis to startups to lower entry barriers. YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh said the complex is among the 11 factory complexes proposed off the Yamuna Expressway. "Flatted factory complexes support the state's vision of becoming a leading industrial hub with a focus on MSMEs and startups. Each of these complexes is proposed to be tailored for proposed industrial parks like medical device, semiconductor, IT, apparel and toy. Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) vice president Sudhir Shrivastava told TOI that factory complexes are needed across Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna authority areas as the govt positions the region as India's next manufacturing hotspot. "Setting up a factory involves significant financial investment, besides approvals from multiple departments such as the Authority, power, fire and others, which often deters entrepreneurs. A factory complex addresses these challenges, as the Authority takes care of the development and necessary clearances. This allows micro and small enterprises, typically employing between 5 to 20 people, to rent space and start operations with ease," he said. NEA has 3,600 registered members in the city, dealing in different businesses. While Noida does not have any designated factory complexes, the concept has found standing in the city, too. With high land and rental costs, several small-scale industries such as furniture, handicrafts, and packaging currently operate out of smaller office buildings in sectors 6, 9, and 10, while some factories operate out of UPSIDA industrial area in Surajpur.

Chief Minister to inaugurate Kusum-C project on June 11
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM KUSUM)–C project, which will provide farmers with reliable daytime electricity by installing solar units near agricultural electricity feeders will be officially launched by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on June 11 at Gauribidanur of Chikkaballapura district, said Energy Minister K.J. George. Speaking at a curtain raiser press conference on Monday, he said, 'Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy and Consumer Affairs, Food and Ration Distribution Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Nayak, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Ministers Krishna Byre Gowda, M.C. Sudhakar, and others will be participated.' The KUSUM–C scheme aims to provide farmers with reliable daytime electricity by installing solar units near agricultural electricity feeders. These units will generate power locally, which will then be supplied to agricultural pump sets through the feeders. This localized generation ensures the delivery of high-quality power, the Minister noted. In Gauribidanur taluk's Thondebhavi Hobli, a 20 MW solar unit has been established across approximately 60 acres in the villages of Hanumenahalli and Charakamattenahalli. This is the largest solar installation under the KUSUM–C scheme in Karnataka to date, which is why Gauribidanur was chosen for the scheme's official launch. The land for the project has been leased from private owners for a period of 25 years, he added. Further the Minister stated that, the KUSUM–C scheme, introduced four to five years ago, was initially put on hold in the State. However, after our government came to power, we decided to implement the scheme and invited tenders. The central government provides a subsidy of ₹1.05 crore for generating 1 mw of solar power, which significantly reduces the cost of establishment of the Solar Power System for the RESCO developers. 'The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission has fixed a maximum rate of ₹3.17 per unit of electricity, ensuring affordable and reliable power supply for farmers. In the first phase of the scheme, we aim to generate 2,400 megawatts of solar electricity through the solarisation of agricultural feeders. This will provide quality daytime electricity to around 6,19,000 (6 lakh 19 thousand) agrarian pump sets, significantly reducing their energy costs and ensuring a reliable power supply,' he explained.
