Law school grad has medical emergency and collapses during bar exam in New York
But some Reddit users claiming they were among the test-takers Wednesday say they're upset the exam wasn't halted outright.
Hofstra University spokesperson Terry Coniglio said Friday that the test-taker collapsed shortly before a scheduled lunch break at the Long Island campus.
Hofstra Public Safety officers immediately provided life saving emergency care, including CPR and defibrillation, until paramedics arrived and transported them to a local hospital, she said.
The New York State Board of Law Examiners, which administers the exam, said the medical emergency occurred 'only a few minutes' before the end of the exam's morning session and staff promptly contacted emergency responders.
'The exam concluded as our staff was obtaining medical aid for the candidate," the Friday statement said. "As soon as the exam ended the proctors collected the exams and the candidates were dismissed from the room so that EMTs could provide the needed medical care to the candidate.'
The university and the state board wished the law candidate, who has not been named, a speedy recovery.
The board said it is also continuing to review what happened, including which candidates may have been impacted, and 'will formulate an appropriate response in due course.'

Bill and Hillary Clinton dates set for House probe on Ghislaine Maxwell ties
Former President Bill Clinton and wife Hillary will testify before the House Oversight Commitee in October as the panel probes the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the committee said on Tuesday. Rep. James Comer, the Republican chair of the Oversight committee, tweeted a list of testimony dates for upcoming witnesses compelled by supboena to appear. The Clintons are the first to sit with the committee, likely an effort to capitalize on the frenzied coverage around the investigation and the Trump administration's bungled attempts to get the president's base to stop caring about it. A number of other top federal officials including former Attorney General Merrick Garland are also set to testify as well. Bill Clinton's friendship with Epstein makes his appearance one of the few called by the committee unrelated to the official duties his office.

Quadruple murder suspect Austin Drummond is finally CAPTURED after 'killing four and dumping their baby girl on front lawn'
A Tennessee man suspected of murdering four family members in a vicious attack has been arrested after almost a week on the run. Austin Robert Drummond, 28, is alleged to have murdered Adrianna Williams, 20; Matthew Wilson, 21; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, in Tiptonville, Tennessee on Friday. Drummond had also left Wilson and Williams' baby girl on a random nearby front porch after the murders. After spending five days at large and sparking a massive manhunt from law enforcement, Drummond was captured Tuesday morning. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation did not say where he was captured, but shared an image of the murder suspect soaked from rainfall and appearing to be in a wooded area. Before his arrest, Drummond was last spotted on Sunday night in the city of Jackson, around 70 miles from the murders, wearing camouflage and armed with a rifle. Officials shared surveillance footage of the alleged quadruple murderer in the footage as they warned locals to 'exercise extreme caution' until the 'armed and dangerous' suspect is caught. Investigators have not said what motivated Drummond to allegedly murder the family members, but have said that he is believed to have previously dated a relative of Williams.
