The journey from apathy to empathy is a fraught one in Karan Tejpal's debut film, Stolen, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Inspired by the horrific events in Karbi Anglong in Assam, in which two young men mistaken for being child kidnappers were lynched by a mob, Tejpal crafts a survival drama that pushes the anxiety buttons and touches on many pertinent issues afflicting society today.

Did You Know Neena Gupta was once left in tears by a co-star? Panchayat 4 actress reveals ‘That person took off...'

Bollywood actress Neena Gupta is one of the most celebrated actresses in the industry. She has given some amazing performances despite being in supporting roles. Not just her acting, but she also grabs headlines for speaking her heart out and wearing what she feels like without making age a barrier. Now, the Panchayat 4 actress reflected on a moment that brought her to tears, recalling how a co-star lashed out at her over an inflated ego. In a recent interview with Mid-day, Neena Gupta recalled an incident and shared, 'These days, everyone's ego is so (inflated) that you have to think a hundred times before you say something to someone. They don't like it. I had a couple of such experiences (outside of the show). Once, I said something in a friendly manner to another actor. That person took off on me. I was in tears.' The actress shared that situations like these have made her hesitant to connect with both junior and senior colleagues. She recalled working with a senior actor who delivered strong performances but lacked a sense of mutual exchange on set. Still, she noted that there are a few people who trust her intentions when she offers guidance. Neena also talked about being unconventional and shared how one has to pay the price for it. However, she called it her 'priority'. She also mentioned that her clothing choices depend on her mood, one day she might opt for a saree, and the next, she could be in shorts. Neena Gupta further reflected on her choice of clothes and mentioned that she isn't hurting anyone with it. She also acknowledged that if her choice of outfits had impacted the roles she was offered, she might have reconsidered wearing them. However, she clarified that the work she received wasn't because of any bold statements or posts, but rather due to the success of Badhaai Ho in 2018. She emphasized that in the industry, it's a strong performance in a hit film that truly opens doors. Meanwhile, Neena Gupta is gearing up for the release of her most-awaited show Panchayat 4 which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 24. She will be playing the role of Manju Devi. She teased about the season in the same interview and shared that it has 'amazing humor'. Apart from her, it also stars Raghubir Yadav, Jitendra Kumar, and Sunita Rajwar, and more.

Anshula Kapoor accuses ‘chachi' Maheep Kapoor of being a ‘traitor' as familial bond weakens on Karan Johar's show: ‘If I was a traitor, I wouldn't be dumb about it'

Karan Johar's new reality show The Traitors is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and the contestants have already eliminated a couple of suspected traitors – including Raj Kundra. The way the game works is that the 'Innocents' have to identify the 'Traitors' and vote them out of the house. After three episodes, there are already some cracks in the alliances and one of the strongest teams on the show, that of Maheep Kapoor and her niece Anshula, is starting to fall apart. Spoilers ahead By the third episode, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, and Lakshmi Manchu are already eliminated from the game. Two have been 'murdered' by the 'traitors' and one was eliminated by 'innocents'. Anshula, who showed blind faith in her chachi (aunt) Maheep in the first episode, is visibly questioning her choices. In the third episode, Anshula was vocal about her mistrust towards Maheep and said, 'I have a feeling it's you (traitor).' She added, 'You already know that a lot of people think you are the traitor. The only reason why I think it's you is because you told me earlier that until you are in the competition, you won't let anyone kick me out. I mean, how could you say that with so much confidence?' She said, 'Last night I packed my bags, and I knew that people were going to evict me today. The traitors know that if I were one of them, I would never let go of you because I am your chachi. If I were a traitor, I wouldn't be dumb about it and tell you that you're safe. What do I care?' Even though the internal dispute seems to be resolved, it reignites itself during the 'circle of shaq' where all contestants vote out a 'traitor' based on their suspicion. Here too, Anshula brought up her mistrust towards Maheep and recalled the same conversation. Maheep, again, clarified her stance but Anshula appeared unconvinced. Anshula told everyone about Maheep's commitment of keeping her in the game and expresseed her doubts that Maheep might be a traitor. However, during the voting, she supported Maheep and voted against Karan Kundrra, who was then eliminated. The show has already revealed the 'traitors' and Maheep isn't one of them so far. Hosted by Karan Johar, The Traitors was released on Prime Video on June 12, and the makers will be dropping new episodes every Thursday.

The Traitors: Apoorva Mukhija and Uorfi Javed have falling out, Rebel Kid's ‘level' questioned by controversial influencer

Karan Johar's much-anticipated Prime Video reality series, The Traitors, premiered on June 12. In the very first episode, the contestants were seen forming alliances and clashing with each other. While the viewers were quite shocked to see Raj Kundra being eliminated in the very first episode, they were also surprised to see a budding friendship between Uorfi Javed and Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid. They were seen swearing upon 'Behen Code' as they shook hands. However, their friendship was extremely short-lived with the two getting into disagreements and commenting on each other's appearance and character. In episode three, they had a falling out. Apoorva explained, 'I was getting a very weird feeling, so I wanted to be by myself and cry. Uorfi kept on asking me, 'Kya hua, kya hua, kya hua?' I was irritated, and I just asked her to shut up for five minutes.' Apoorva's reaction, however, didn't go down well with Uorfi. A post shared by prime video IN (@primevideoin) The controversial fashion influencer said, 'She is not at the same level as me, she needs to respect me.' However, Apoorva retaliated by saying, 'Na uski height badi hai, na uska dimag (Both her height and brain are underdeveloped) I don't need that negativity.' Uorfi then shared her side of the story in a piece to camera, and said, 'I don't wish to be your friend or I don't wish to speak to you.' However, Apoorva dismissed Uorfi's feelings and said, 'Not everything is about you.' This statement left Uorfi disappointed. Agar badtameezi cool hai toh mujhe nahi banna cool gang ka part! (I am not at the same level as her because I am not ill-mannered and if being badtameez is cool, I don't want to be a part of it).' The remaining contestants are Ashish Vidyarthi, Jannat Zubair, Maheep Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, and casting director Mukesh Chhabra, among others.
