The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (2025) is available in three sizes—14-inch, 15.3-inch, and 16-inch—with prices starting at Rs 63,790. It will soon be available for purchase via Lenovo's official website, select Lenovo exclusive stores, leading e-commerce platforms, and offline retail partners across India.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (2025) features high-resolution WUXGA IPS panels with a 16:10 aspect ratio and over 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. According to Lenovo, the laptop includes intelligent noise-cancelling microphones, AI-enhanced webcam technology, and holds an EPEAT Gold certification, underscoring its focus on sustainability.
It is powered by Intel Raptor Lake H processors (13th and 14th generation Intel Core chips based on hybrid architecture) and AMD HawkPoint processors. Lenovo claims the device delivers strong performance with up to 25W thermal design power (TDP). Thanks to Smart Power optimisation technology, the laptop automatically adjusts power usage to support smooth multitasking and consistent performance.
The IdeaPad Slim 3 is equipped with a Full HD and infrared (IR) camera, paired with a privacy shutter, dual microphones, and front-facing speakers for enhanced audio and video quality. It supports Rapid Charge Boost and offers up to 60Whr battery capacity, enabling extended usage without frequent charging.
The laptop also offers an optional metal chassis for added durability and meets MIL-STD 810H standards. Lenovo describes it as a slim and lightweight device, measuring 16.95mm in thickness.
To enhance overall speed and responsiveness, the device includes a USB-C port, support for dual solid-state drives (SSDs), and high-speed DDR5 memory, along with an additional slot for easy upgrades.

Lodha Mathematical Sciences Institute (LMSI) was on Sunday (August 17, 2025) established in Mumbai to provide a collaborative and meritocratic environment for mathematics researchers from across the globe. Called 'the first ever privately funded mathematics research institute in the country, LMSI is backed by Lodha Foundation, which received about Rs 20,000 crore endowment from the Lodha family last year.' 'It's very important for us as a company to make sure that our success contributes in a wholesome manner to India's development. In that context, the family decided last year to donate about one-fifth of the ownership of the company to the Lodha Foundation,' said Abhishek Lodha, CEO and MD of Lodha Developers. 'We have realised that for any nation to become strong, we ought to have original thinking and promote innovation. This is what the Lodha Institute of Mathematical Sciences is focused on. We are undoubtedly committed to making sure that in the long term, this becomes one of the leading institutions in the world,' he said. The LMSI will encourage intellectual inquiry and mathematical research, both in its fundamental aspects as well as in its applications. 'We are aiming to get the brightest researchers to come together and pursue research in cutting-edge frontier mathematics so that the frontiers of mathematics are pushed and new knowledge is created,' he said. The LMSI will be headed by V. Kumar Murty, a mathematician, known for his contributions to number theory and arithmetic geometry. A Ph.D. from Harvard University, Dr. Murty has served as the Director of the Fields Institute and as a professor at the University of Toronto. With several international accolades to his credit, Dr Murty's research spans various areas, including analytic number theory, algebraic number theory, information security, and arithmetic algebraic geometry, the Foundation said. 'We know that in the vast history of India, there have been many great mathematicians who contributed fundamental ideas that have shaped the world that we live in today,' said Dr Murty. 'To be a part of that tradition and to take it forward to the next level, invoking not only the expertise within India, but even that which is available around the world, is truly critical and inspiring. The LMSI aims to address fundamental problems that will help India becoming a developed nation and a global leader by 2047,' he added. The LMSI is backed by a scientific advisory panel of leading researchers, who will oversee the scientific programs of the Institute and help to align them with the main international trends. This includes Dr Manjul Bhargava (Princeton University), Dr Vikraman Balaji (Chennai Mathematical Institute), Dr Sourav Chatterjee (Stanford University), Dr Ravi Vakil (Stanford University and President-Elect of AMS), Dr Yakov Eliashberg (Stanford University), Dr Alexander Lubotzky (Weizmann Institute of Science), Dr Kavita Ramanan (Brown University), Dr François Labourie (Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis), Dr Siddhartha Mishra (ETH Zurich), Dr Mahan Mj (TIFR), Dr Ngô Bảo Châu (University of Chicago), Dr Parimala Raman (Emory University). 'The Institute recognises that it can contribute significantly to solving complex challenges in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, and economics. These challenges that can be addressed through advanced mathematical approaches, including data science, machine learning, operations research, and optimization,' the Foundation said. 'As an institute rooted in India and focused on both fundamental research and applications, it can make meaningful contributions, both in the short term as well as the long term, nationally and globally. Lokesh to meet Union Ministers to push for clearance for Andhra projects

Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Information Technology and Human Resources Development, Nara Lokesh, will meet Union Ministers in Delhi on Monday to discuss key pending projects of the state with the Central government. Lokesh will leave for the national capital on Sunday. He is scheduled to have a series of meetings with Union Ministers to push for faster clearances for pending projects and to discuss some new initiatives for Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh, who is the son of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, will hold meetings with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The state government is expected to present a set of proposals to each of these ministries during the discussions, according to a statement from the minister's office. Since the formation of the coalition government in the state, Minister Lokesh has already met Union Ministers on multiple occasions and has been actively pursuing the state's interests. His efforts have helped bring new projects to Andhra Pradesh and ensure quicker approvals from the Centre, it said. The HRD Minister is said to be making a concerted push to place Andhra Pradesh on par with the most developed states in the country. During his visit, Lokesh is also expected to meet Union Railway, IT and Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and thank him personally for sanctioning a Semiconductor Manufacturing Unit to the state. The Union Cabinet on August 12 approved a semiconductor facility in Andhra Pradesh. Advanced System in Package Technologies (ASIP) will be tying up with APACT Co. Ltd, South Korea, for an annual capacity of 96 million units. These will be used in mobile phones, set-top boxes, automobiles and other new-age electronics applications, and will greatly contribute to an Atmanirbhar Bharat, Lokesh had said while thanking the Prime Minister for sanctioning the facility. The Union Cabinet decided to set up new semiconductor manufacturing units under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). These units will come up in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Punjab. The cumulative investment will be around Rs 4,600 crore.
