Luis Muriel and Martín Ojeda propel Orlando City to 4-1 victory over Inter Miami
Muriel scored in the 2nd minute to give Orlando City (9-6-8) a lead that lasted just three minutes after Yannick Bright scored unassisted for his first career goal in his 40th appearance to pull Inter Miami (12-5-6) even.
Ojeda collected his 13th assist on Muriel's goal, extending his club-record streak with a goal contribution to 14.
Orlando City took a 2-1 lead five minutes into the second half on Muriel's unassisted eighth goal of the season.
Ojeda found the net for the 14th time this season to give Orlando City a 3-1 lead in the 58th minute. His 27 goal contributions lead the league.
Marco Pašalić scored unassisted in the 88th minute for a three-goal advantage. It was his 10th goal in his first season in the league.
Pedro Gallese totaled four saves in goal for Orlando City.
Óscar Ustari turned away eight shots for Inter Miami.
Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi, who is tied with Nashville SC's Sam Surridge for the league lead with 18 goals, missed the match due to a right leg injury the 38-year-old suffered Aug. 2 in a Leagues Cup match against Necaxa. Messi's 18 goals have come while playing in 18 of his club's 23 matches.
Orlando City jumps into fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Head coach Oscar Pareja needs one more victory to reach 100 across all competitions.
Inter Miami sits in sixth place but has three matches in hand against the top four and two in hand against the fifth-place Columbus Crew.
Inter Miami will host the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday. Orlando City will host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said he doesn't wish he had done more to improve his slumping club through trade, expressing confidence that the defending World Series champions will get it together in time for October. 'If we're fortunate enough to do that, I think we will have arguably our most talented pitching staff that we've ever had, with some really good pitchers left off.' The Dodgers' starting rotation is largely healthy now, with Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow rejoining the group and Roki Sasaki on the way. Instead, the Dodgers' bullpen is struggling to stay afloat — particularly while high-leverage veteran Blake Treinen is struggling. The Dodgers also announced that former All-Star starter Tony Gonsolin had an internal brace procedure that typically requires eight to 10 months of recovery time. BALTIMORE (AP) — George Kirby pitched seven three-hit innings, and the Seattle Mariners beat the Baltimore Orioles 1-0 on Tuesday night for their eighth victory in a row. Seattle pulled within a half-game of AL West-leading Houston, with the Astros playing at Boston on Tuesday night. Josh Naylor's RBI single in the first inning was all the scoring the Mariners needed. Kirby (8-5) struck out seven without a walk. Eduard Bazardo and Gabe Speier worked the eighth, and Andrés Muñoz labored through the ninth for his 28th save in 34 chances. The Orioles had the top of the order batting in the ninth, but Jackson Holliday grounded softly to the pitcher and Jordan Westburg struck out swinging. Gunnar Henderson walked, and then there was a lengthy delay as Muñoz was tended to on the mound. He eventually took a drink from a cup — as the crowd booed — and then Adley Rutschman singled. Brewers rough up Paul Skenes in 14-0 blowout of Pirates, secure their second 11-game win streak since July
Not even Paul Skenes could cool off the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers tagged Skenes for a leadoff home run Tuesday night to spark a 14-0 blowout of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They chased the NL Cy Young favorite after four innings. The win extended Milwaukee's win streak to 11 games for its second 11-game win streak since July. Per MLB's Sarah Langs, the Brewers are just the second MLB team since 1954 to post two such streaks in a single season and the 13th overall since the turn of the 20th century. And they've done it in a matter of weeks since their first 11-game win streak started on July 6. The win improved the Brewers' MLB-best record to 75-44 as they've emerged from the All-Star break as the best team in baseball. They're now 20-4 in the second half of the season and have a 7.5-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. And they secured Tuesday's win while roughing up arguably the best pitcher in baseball. The Brewers did the bulk of their damage against Pittsburgh's bullpen. But they delivered Skenes of one of the worst outings of his brief but stellar career. Sal Frelicik starts Brewers binge with leadoff HR off of Skenes Sal Frelick got the barrage started for the Brewers. Milwaukee's leadoff hitter declined to bite on a 2-2 changeup below the strike zone and worked Skenes to a full count. The payoff pitch was a 97 mph fastball that Skenes delivered on lower inside corner of the zone. Frelick launched it into the right-field stands for an early 1-0 Brewers lead. Milwaukee didn't strike again in the inning, but made Skenes work in a 22-pitch first. Skenes appeared to settle down in the second with a 1-2-3 inning. But he issued two walks in the third and allowed another Milwaukee run to score on a William Contreras double. Skenes then allowed three more hits in the fourth, including a Brice Turang solo home run and an RBI single by Frelick that followed up a Joey Ortiz double. Skenes got out of the inning without further damage as the Brewers had built a 4-0 lead. But his night was done. The final line for the NL Cy Young favorite: 4 earned runs allowed on 6 hits including 2 home runs with two walks on 93 pitches. His season-long ERA crossed the two-run threshold from 1.94 to 2.13. Frelick's leadoff home run marked the first time this season that Skenes allowed a first-inning run of any kind. Tuesday was just the second time this season that Skenes allowed multiple home runs. Pittsburgh's bullpen didn't stand a chance. Brewers tee off on Pirates' bullpen Christian Yelich kept the party going with a two-run home run in the fifth inning off reliever Yohan Ramírez. When the game was done, the Brewers had tagged five Pittsburgh pitchers for 15 hits and five home runs while walking five times. Nine different Brewers batters secured hits, nine scored runs and seven logged RBI. And on the mound, Freddy Peralta pitched a gem. The Brewers starter pitched six shutout innings with seven strikeouts and one walk allowed while giving up just three hits. Milwaukee's bullpen did the job from there to complete the shutout with three more pitchers. If you haven't been paying attention to the Brewer's now's a good time to start.
