The charges started from a March 12 raid at Hernandez's Miami residence, where authorities reportedly found traces of cocaine and MDMA — the party drug known as Molly or ecstasy in a bedroom cabinet. Hernandez acknowledged the presence of the substances and accepted responsibility.
In return for his guilty plea, the prosecutors agreed to drop two additional counts related to the incident.
Sentencing and potential consequences
U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer cautioned Hernandez that any further violations before sentencing could lead to severe consequences. While federal guidelines suggest a sentence ranging from three to nine months per count, the rapper could face up to five years in prison and lifetime supervised release depending on the court's final decision.
