A California woman found herself stuck inside a Chuck E. Cheese 'Snow Day' arcade game after attempting to retrieve points by reaching into a narrow tunnel. The Burbank Fire Department freed her after nearly an hour, as a group of children looked on.The incident occurred Thursday around 3:30 p.m. at a Chuck E. Cheese in Burbank. The 'Snow Day!' game involves players stepping inside a small capsule where soft 'snow' balls fall from above. The aim is to collect the balls and place them into scoring holes to earn points. The game is designed to last only a few minutes. However, the woman's attempt to access a part of the machine not meant for players extended her time inside to almost an hour. She had to kneel to fit inside the space designed for children.Officials reported that the woman's arm became lodged in a narrow tube within the game. A rescue crew from the Burbank Fire Department responded and worked to free her while children in nearby booths watched. Video footage taken by onlookers showed the unusual scene.A Chuck E. Cheese spokesperson confirmed the game is safe when used as intended. The spokesperson explained that the 'young adult was playing one of the games intended for children and decided to stick their arm in a hole not intended for hands or arms.'According to the manufacturer Coastal Amusements, 'Snow Day' is intended for the youngest visitors to the arcade, filling a specific age gap in the market.Firefighters eventually freed the woman, who was unharmed. Chuck E. Cheese stated she continued her visit and enjoyed the rest of the evening with her family. She attempted to place her arm inside a narrow tube of the 'Snow Day' game, which is not intended for hands or arms, leading to her being trapped. The game is designed for young children and is safe when used correctly. The incident occurred because the player did not follow the intended rules of play.
