Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reach another relationship milestone as they double date with her high school BFF
Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce have reached another major milestone in their relationship as they enjoyed a double date with her high school best friend.
On Monday night, the couple appeared in high spirits as they let loose at the Tight End University party with her childhood pal, Abigail Anderson, and her husband Charles Berard.
In footage circulating on X, the 14-time Grammy winner and Kansas City Chiefs star, both 35, were spotted arriving at the venue in the same car as Anderson and Berard.
The foursome kept their heads down as they quickly entered the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, where the Lover hitmaker surprised the crowd by performing Shake It Off.
For the occasion, Swift rocked a black minidress from EB Denim ($495), knee-high Versace boots ($1,990) and vintage Steven Battelle Ancient Coin necklace, which she previously wore to a Chiefs vs. Bills game this January.
Her man embraced his reputation as a loud dresser by rocking a green camouflage set and black cowboy hat.
After the dynamic duo's fun night out, a source told People that Swift 'enjoys' nothing more than letting Kelce 'shine.'
The insider added that she 'lights up' around her boyfriend and that they 'stayed by each other's side all while chit chatting and catching up with everyone' at the event.
While Swift and Kelce only began dating in the summer of 2023, Anderson has been by the pop star's side since their freshman year of high school.
Anderson has appeared in a number of her BFF's music videos, including Picture to Burn, Fifteen, 22, Teardrops on My Guitar, I'm Only Me When I'm With You and New Romantics.
The pair met on their first day at Hendersonville High School in Tennessee, when they were both 15 years old.
The performer even name-dropped Anderson on her track Fifteen off her hit album Fearless, which won four Grammy Awards at the 2010 Grammy Awards.
In the coming-of-age track, Swift sings: 'You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail / And soon enough you're best friends / Laughing at the other girls / Who think they're so cool / We'll be out of here as soon as we can.'
During an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009, the Bad Blood songstress opened up about her friendship with Anderson.
'My best friend, Abigail, we met when I was 15. First day of school freshman year, we sat next to each other in English,' she gushed. 'She wanted to be a swimmer and go off on a college scholarship for swimming and I wanted to be a singer. Now she's off at Kansas on a swimming scholarship and I'm singing.'
In addition to attending a number of events with Swift as her plus one since her rise to fame, Anderson appeared in Swift's 2020 Miss Americana documentary and cheered her on at the Eras Tour in Nashville.
During the documentary, Anderson, who works at Celero Commerce, told her pal: 'I think you'd be an excellent mother. No questions.'
In 2019, she spoke fondly of their friendship while celebrating her on the release of her seventh album, Lover, via Instagram.
'15 years of knowing you and watching you grow, both as a human and an artist, I can honestly say I've never been more proud to call you my friend,' she wrote. 'I am completely inspired by everything that is you, @taylorswift, Congrats, buddy.'
In August 2024, Anderson adorably used a lyric from Swift's song, But Daddy I Love Him, to announce her pregnancy as she captioned a photo showing off her baby bump: 'I'm having his babyyyy.'
Under the post, Swift commented: 'When the internet says 'MOTHER' I feel like this pic is actually what they mean.'
Later that year, Anderson welcomed her first child, a son named Bennett, two years after walking down the aisle with her husband.
One year prior, Anderson gave Kelce her stamp of approval by liking a video on social media of Swift changing the lyrics of her song Karma to pay homage to him.
Instead of singing the lyrics, 'Karma is the guy on the screen,' the pop star made Kelce blush as she crooned 'Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.'
Over the years, Swift and Anderson have also appeared on each other's social media pages, like in party pictures from Swift's star-studded 34th birthday bash.

Travis Kelce sends Taylor Swift fans wild with rare five-word message to his superstar girlfriend on social media
Travis Kelce doesn't often publicly comment on his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift... so when he does, fans take notice. That was the case on Wednesday night, as the Kansas City Chiefs icon dived into the comments section of a picture of his girlfriend performing in Nashville. In a rare public display of affection for her on social media, Kelce used his adorable nickname for her, writing: 'Turn me up Tay Tay!!!' Fans, perhaps unsurprisingly, quickly noticed the comment on the official NFL post and went crazy about it on social media. 'I know a No 1 Swiftie when I see one,' one wrote, while another - presumably with much hyperbole - added: 'I am dead on the side of the road.' The comment on Instagram came just hours after Swift had returned to the stage for the first time in months to perform at Kelce's yearly Tight End University event in Nashville. It was the first time Swift had sung publicly since the end of her sold-out worldwide Eras Tour, and she performed an acoustic rendition of her hit song Shake It Off. The performance was alongside Kane Brown at 'Tight End and Friends' - a show hosted by Kelce as part of his NFL event in Music City. Kelce and S wift had earlier been pictured arriving at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, where it seemed like Swift was purely just supporting Kelce for a cause close to his heart. Singers such as Sophia Scott, Graham Barham and Chase Rice were all listed to perform at the venue, where Swift was first spotted enjoying the night in the VIP section. Jordan Davis also played and welcomed country star Luke Combs onto the stage but Swift's involvement had been kept a secret - if it was even scheduled at all. Swift told the crowd 'we planned that three minutes ago' shortly before she left the stage to huge cheers. Just when it seemed like Brown was finishing his set, Swift ignited a frenzy when she walked out for one more song and played an acoustic guitar belonging to Rice. She dedicated it 'to our favorite players' before launching into a rendition of one of her biggest hits and sending the crowd wild. Tickets had been on sale to the public and some devoted Swifties had made sure they were in the crowd for a possible sighting of the singer with Kelce. It was a gamble that seriously paid off. Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl hosts up to 1,200 people while her biggest Eras show was at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, where 96,000 people went to see her. Earlier in the week, Swift stunned fans on Monday night as she doted on Kelce during the welcome night for the three-day NFL event that the Kansas City Chiefs star has hosted since 2021. Kelce and San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle run the event alongside Greg Olsen, another former tight end who is now a distinguished NFL analyst. As well as building a community among the players who play in the position that Kelce is famous for and sharing tips on performance, they also raise money for charity through the annual get-together.

Another moment from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 's stay in Nashville this week has been unveiled, as the happy couple flexed in a photo with popular podcast hosts Bussin with the Boys. The podcast, hosted by former NFL stars Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, were in attendance at Kelce's Tight End University events in Nashville. The podcast duo met playing for the Tennessee Titans and attended the extravaganza, while Swift has a home in the area. Kelce is to her right wearing camouflage from neck to foot and a black cowboy hat. Swift and Kelce packed on the PDA earlier this week as they reached a major milestone in their high-profile romance. The couple sent fans wild when they made their first joint appearance at an event during the NFL star's Tight End University in Nashville. While Kelce was technically working at the three-day NFL event, which he has co-hosted alongside fellow tight ends George Kittle and Greg Olsen since 2021, he couldn't keep his eyes - or his hands - off his pop sensation girlfriend. Photos have begun to trickle out from the 'Fortnight' hitmaker's shock appearance at the event in Music City with one particularly steamy moment between an unsuspecting Kelce and Swift being caught on camera. In a snap that has emerged from Monday night's launch party at cocktail bar LA Jackson, the loved-up couple could be seen sharing an intimate moment in the background. The 14-time Grammy Award winner had her arms wrapped around the NFL star's neck as she leaned in to the beaming Kelce. Taylor Swift fans are convinced she's about to release a country album as she drops MAJOR clues onstage
Taylor Swift fans are convinced she's gearing up for a return to her country roots after a surprise appearance at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville. On Tuesday, the pop icon, 35, shocked a crowd of lucky fans with an impromptu performance of her hit single Shake It Off, which prompted social media to explode with theories that she may be teasing a country-inspired TS12. While Swift hasn't confirmed any details about her 12th studio album, like a title or release date, fans on X believe she dropped several not-so-subtle hints, including a noticeable comeback of her signature country twang. Other clues included performing alongside country music singer Kane Brown on stage, not far from her hometown of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and having her high school best friend, Abigail Anderson, in the audience. 'Taylor's country twang in this!?! Her performing to a small crowd in Nashville. She's going back to her roots. It's so serious to me,' one X user tweeted. 'The prospect of ts12 potentially being a country album is making me feel physically sick with excitement.' Another wrote: 'My delusional self is making this an easter egg for TS12 being country and back to her roots and her performing this in nashville WHERE SHE STARTED adds onto it.' 'TS12 Country would be hot! Especially Travis rocking the cowboy hat,' a third gushed. Swift rocking out to Florida Georgia Line's Cruise, which was performed by Chase Rice, also raised eyebrows as she famously danced to it at the 2013 CMT Awards. Others predicted that Swift may have been signaling that the release of her re-recorded, self-titled debut album may be imminent. Last month while revealing she bought back her masters, the superstar stated she 'already re-recorded' her 'entire debut album.' 'And I really love how it sounds now,' she gushed in a statement about her 2006 record on her website. Her debut album, which established her status as a rising star, featured hits like Tim McGraw, Teardrops on My Guitar, Our Song, Picture to Burn and Should've Said No. Her latest performance, at a concert hosted by boyfriend Travis Kelce, marked her return to the stage for the first time since regaining control of her entire recorded music catalog. While speaking to the audience about her decision to sing on Tuesday, she told them 'we planned that three minutes ago.' She dedicated her performance of Shake It Off 'to our favorite players.' It was an intimate venue for Swift to perform in after selling out the biggest stadiums around the globe on her historic Eras Tour. Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl hosts up to 1,200 people while her biggest Eras show was at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, where 96,000 people went to see her. In a handwritten letter posted on her website, last month, Swift, who is worth over $1 billion, revealed the money she made from her lucrative Eras tour last year helped bankroll the purchase of her old material and 'her entire life's work'. She said: 'All I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to one day purchase my music outright with no strings attached, no partnership, with full autonomy. ' Swift then thanked Shamrock Capital for their 'honest, fair and respectful' way they handled the deal, adding: 'I really felt like they saw it for what it was to me: My memories and my sweat and my handwriting and my decades of dreams.' She then joked: 'My first tattoo might just be a huge shamrock in the middle of my forehead.' Justin Bieber's old manager Scooter controversially acquired the rights to Swift's material for $300 million after buying her old record label, Big Machine Media, in 2019 before selling them on to Shamrock Capital for profit. The Love Story singer, who branded Scooter a 'bully' for tactics, was unaware of his plan and also claimed when she previously approached Big Machine label head Scott Borchetta about buying her masters beforehand, he allegedly would only sell her them one at a time, starting from her earliest, least-profitable recordings. In exchange for the option to buy the masters back, Swift claimed she would have to record a new album for the label in exchange for each old recording she bought, shackling her to Big Machine for years to come just when she was eager to leave the label. The singer posted an emotional Tumblr telling fans she made the 'excruciating choice to leave behind my past. 'Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for from the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums.' She added: 'Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter. 'Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words 'Scooter Braun' escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. 'He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn't want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever.' She added that when she heard the news: 'All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I've received at his hands for years.' Swift then listed a string of examples accusing Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – then Braun's client – of bullying. Shamrock acquired the master recordings to Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation – which Swift has now regained ownership of, having previously led a campaign to re-record her first six albums, four of which she's successfully completed. Reputation (Taylor's Version) was heavily tipped to be her next release and the singer addressed the rumors in her open letter, saying it's the 'one album I thought couldn't be improved upon by redoing it' but teased she may still record another version, as well as offer up 'unreleased Vault tracks' from that album. Swift also noted that re-recorded the entirety of her debut self-titled album which, like Reputation, will 're-emerge when the time is right.'
