Enya seen for the first time in 8 years after reclusive life in Victorian castle

Enya has been spotted for the first time in years. The Only Time hitmaker, 64, is rarely seen out and about, having floated onto the world's stage in the 1980s with her ethereal, unique sound on hits including Orinoco Flow and Evening Falls. Since, she's clocked up four Grammy Awards, countless nominations and an Oscars shortlist for her soundtrack classic May It Be, from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The vocalist, famed for her haunting choir-like melodies, is the second most successful Irish artist of all time after U2, having sold over 80million albums, and she's got a reported £98m fortune. Fans have been wondering where Enya is, as her last music drop was ten years ago in her 2015 eighth studio album, Dark Sky Island. She's also not been seen publicly since the Grammys in 2017, so this was a reassuring moment for fans, as she looked the picture of health, dressed up for a wedding at Drumhalla House in Donegal on May 16. The Only Time hitmaker wore a gorgeous black and white lacey dress, with a shimmering necklace and short haircut as she posed with fellow attendees. The Irish singer's reclusive lifestyle has been documented over the years, as she reportedly spends much time in her 19th century castle, located just south of Dublin, by the sea. Having bought Manderley Castle – named after the house in her favourite book, Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca – in 1997 for €3.8m (£2.5m), Enya is thought to enjoy the sprawling space with, at one time, up to a dozen cats. In a 2015 interview while talking about her new music, Enya touched on her love life. 'I am single, yes,' she told The Independent. 'But as the song suggests, there have been… relationships. It's quite hard to have someone accept that – well, not that they are second to the music, but that I do need a certain amount of space for it. 'And even though the person will understand that at the beginning, there is something like jealousy towards the music after a while.' There was a seven-year gap between her last two albums, and Enya said at the time that she needed the pause. Alongside her Irish bolthole, Enya bought a house in the south of France and travelled in this time, visiting family. The rest of her days, the publication report, are spent in Manderley Castle, not far from Bono's place. During her time there Enya has fortified the castle walls sky-high, having experienced a number of disturbing run-ins with stalkers, which she told the outlet has 'been traumatic'. Enya was born Eithne Ní Bhraonáin in Ireland in 1961, one of nine children. As a teenager Enya enjoyed a brief time with her family's band Clannad, before going it alone and collaborating with producer Nicky Ryan and his poet wife Roma Ryan, who she continued to work with all the way to her latest album. VLORE, GA, ALBANIA, May 30, 2025 / / -- Xcel Talent Agency, a leading boutique agency renowned for representing top-tier dancers, choreographers, and actors, is set to elevate the global dance scene with the launch of a new dance convention at the highly anticipated DansMusik Fest 2025 in Vlorë, Albania. This exciting initiative, announced by agency founder Aris Golemi, aims to bridge European talent with opportunities in the U.S. entertainment industry through auditions, master classes, and performances, solidifying Vlorë's emerging status as 'The City of Dance ' from August 18-23, 2025. A New Chapter for DansMusik Fest Following the resounding success of the inaugural DansMusik Fest in 2024, which drew over 25,000 attendees to witness a headline performance by world-renowned DJ Steve Aoki, Xcel Talent Agency is expanding the festival's scope to include a comprehensive dance convention. The 2024 event, co-organized with Kuadr Events, transformed Vlorë's Lungomare into a vibrant celebration of music and dance, boosting local tourism and establishing the city as an emerging cultural hub. Building on this momentum, the 2025 edition will feature a week-long program of pop-up performances, spontaneous dance battles, live music, and now, a dedicated dance convention designed to spotlight and nurture talent. The convention, a first for DansMusik Fest, will offer European dancers a unique platform to showcase their skills through workshops led by top choreographers, master classes, and exclusive auditions for representation by Xcel Talent Agency in the U.S. market. 'DansMusik Fest is more than a festival—it's a movement to empower artists and foster cultural exchange,' said Aris Golemi, whose vision for Xcel International continues to redefine the entertainment landscape. Auditioning European Dancers for U.S. Representation A cornerstone of the new dance convention is Xcel Talent Agency's auditions, specifically targeting European dancers seeking representation in the U.S. Xcel, known for its rigorous standards and mentorship approach, represents talent for high-profile projects, including music videos, films, television, commercials, and live performances for artists like Beyoncé, Usher, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Pitbull, and events such as the Oscars and Grammy Awards. The auditions will focus on a variety of dance styles, including contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and more, welcoming dancers aged 13 and up from all ethnicities. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join Xcel's roster, gaining access to the agency's extensive industry connections and personalized career guidance. 'We're looking for dancers who embody passion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic,' Golemi emphasized. 'Our goal is to connect Europe's brightest talents with opportunities to thrive on the global stage.' This initiative aligns with Xcel's mission to discover and nurture the next generation of stars, offering European dancers a rare chance to break into the competitive U.S. market. The agency's strategic partnership with other agencies further amplifies its ability to open doors for its clients across major markets like Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville. A Week of Dance and Cultural Exchange The dance convention at DansMusik Fest 2025 will be a dynamic addition to the festival's lineup, featuring master classes led by internationally acclaimed choreographers, workshops to refine technique, and opportunities for dancers to network with industry professionals. The event will also include pop-up performances and dance battles along Vlorë's scenic Lungomare, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the fusion of dance, music, and Albanian culture. 'Vlorë's rich cultural heritage and vibrant energy make it the perfect backdrop for this convention,' Golemi noted. 'We want dancers to leave inspired, empowered, and connected to a global community of creators.' The convention will also foster cultural exchange, with international artists and attendees collaborating to create memorable performances that highlight Vlorë's growing reputation as a cultural destination. Economic and Cultural Impact The addition of the dance convention is expected to further amplify the economic benefits seen during the 2024 festival, which saw sold-out accommodations and increased patronage for local businesses. By attracting dancers, choreographers, and industry professionals from across Europe and beyond, DansMusik Fest 2025 aims to position Vlorë as a must-visit destination for dance enthusiasts and tourists alike. A Vision for the Future Under Aris Golemi's leadership, Xcel Talent Agency continues to push boundaries in the entertainment industry. A former dancer and choreographer with a Bachelor's Degree in Choreography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, Golemi's achievements have earned him recognition as one of the top dance agents in US. His agency's boutique approach, emphasizing quality and mentorship, has made it a trusted name for artists worldwide. The launch of the dance convention at DansMusik Fest marks a bold step in Xcel's mission to empower artists and redefine global entertainment. Ryan Tedder on One Republic's enduring appeal, writing hits for the stars

Ryan Tedder's won three Grammy Awards and written hit songs for Adele, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift — among many others. But the One Republic vocalist doesn't know if he's currently got a massive hit single hidden away among a collection of thousands of songs written over the years that have never seen the light of day. "In an average week I do, I would say, about two songs a day in some form or fashion," he told Breakfast. "I have a Miley Cyrus song that comes out this Friday that's been on my hard-drive for three years. "It got reproduced, cleaned up, and changed. But it's just now coming out called Easy Lover. ADVERTISEMENT "The process for that took years." The prolific song-writer – behind Beyoncé's Halo and Adele's Rumour Has it – says people would be shocked to know how many times a hit record has come out of a random moment that jogs his memory. "I'll be in Thailand on vacation and hear a song in a tuk-tuk that reminds me of a song I did six years ago with Adele or whoever. "And I'll go [to my team] 'send me that song now!' And they'll go and find it, then I'll go: 'I'm gonna pitch that song right now!'" The 45-year-old was set to return to New Zealand with One Republic in February next year – and was still "amused and grateful" at the band's enduring appeal. "Our goal when we sat down and wrote our goals on a napkin in 2005 was to be able to play arenas in every city in the world, every major city that we can legally go to I want to be able to sell out the arena. "The fact that we are still able to pull off a hit song every now and again… I'm absolutely grateful for it."

Huge US band forced to cancel shows after ‘freak accident'

Kings of Leon have been forced to cancel their UK and European shows after frontman Caleb Followill suffered a 'freak accident' while playing with his kids. The Grammy-winning group had been due to perform across several countries this summer, including stops in Spain, Germany, Wales, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Belgium and Portugal. But Caleb, 43, has been sidelined after breaking his foot and requiring emergency surgery, giving the band no choice but to pull out of all appearances in June and July. In a video posted to the band's Instagram account, he explained: 'Hello to everyone out there, especially our European fans that are coming to see us this summer. 'Unfortunately I regret to inform you that those shows will have to be cancelled due to a freak accident that happened the other day.' 'I broke my foot pretty bad just playing with my kids… It's pretty gnarly and I'll spare all the details.' 'But we're fortunate enough to have some great doctors here in Nashville that gave me emergency surgery.' Caleb, who shares daughter Dixie Pearl, 14, and son Winston Roy, six, with model Lily Aldridge, 39, revealed that he's been told to stay off his feet for around two months. He added: 'I'm on the mend, but they've told me that I can't be on my feet, travelling, or anything for the next eight weeks or so. That's a big bummer.' The singer looked visibly frustrated as he continued: 'We were so excited. We've been preparing for this tour for a long time, we've been preparing for a lot of things.' 'We've been in the studio recording, we have a bunch of new songs, we were going to debut a few of them on this run. We had a lot of exciting things planned and now we're going to have to pivot and find a new way to continue the work that we've started.' Despite the disappointment, Caleb ended the message on a more hopeful note. He said: 'I'm very excited for when we do get to show you the stuff we're doing, and in the meantime we're going to do whatever work we can while I have these limitations.' 'Exciting stuff is coming, I know this isn't the message anyone wants to hear, and it's certainly not the message I want to be sending, but it's going to be alright. Everything is going to be good. Hopefully, we will see y'all soon.' The clip ended with a shot of Caleb's foot in a cast. His bandmates, Nathan, Jared and Matthew Followill, issued a separate statement, confirming the necessary recovery time. They said: 'Kings of Leon are updating fans that Caleb Followill has recently sustained a serious injury, shattering his heel and requiring a significant emergency surgery, that will prevent him from travelling and performing. 'The anticipated recovery process is expected to take eight weeks, under strict guidance of expert orthopaedic specialists.' 'The band regrets to report that they will need to cancel all upcoming UK and European festival headline shows in June and July of this year.' The tour had been set to include a high-profile headline slot at Lytham Festival in Lancashire, where they were billed alongside Justin Timberlake and Alanis Morissette. Organisers have since confirmed the festival will be reduced from five days to four, as it's too late in the day to book a replacement act. They also wished Caleb a 'speedy recovery'.
