However, it was not an easy upbringing in the neighbourhood of Oakland, which was heavily influenced by drugs and violence. While speaking about the negative influences in an interview with CSNNW.com, Lillard said, 'Ah, there's too much. I can go on and on, man.' Speaking about the same, Lillard's mother Gina also opened up about the difficulties of raising her children in the streets of Oregon. In an interview with Court-side Moms, she shared, 'Living in Oakland was not so easy.
So, us putting them in basketball was basically saving their lives because it kept them off the streets and it kept them from being around the wrong crowd."

Actor Jax Taylor Quits Social Media, Prioritises Recovery From Drug Addiction
Last Updated: Jax Taylor has quit social media to focus on his mental health. The reality TV star, who has battled a cocaine addiction for over 20 years, announced the decision on Instagram. Jax Taylor has quit social media in an effort to protect his mental health. The 45-year-old reality TV star – who previously confessed to battling a drug addiction – has announced that he's taking a break from social media platforms, as he focuses on his 'mental health and recovery". Jax – who has Cruz, four, with Brittany Cartwright, his estranged wife – wrote on Instagram Story: 'I've made the decision to stay off social media for the next while to prioritize my mental health and recovery. My team will be running it for the time being. (sic)" Jax confessed that certain posts on social media can be triggering. Speaking on 'In the Mind of Jax Taylor', he explained: 'My brain is so fragile, and if I see certain things, they might trigger me. Something might hit a chord, and I don't think I'm strong enough to read certain things. For me to grow and get better and be a better person, there are some things I need to see in order to know what's going on. But I think I took it so much to the extreme of blocking everything and living in my own little world." Jax feels he now needs to cut himself off from social media platforms. He said, 'The phone has become a problem. Do I need to be on social media? No, I don't." Meanwhile, Jax previously admitted that he's been battling a cocaine addiction for more than 20 years. He said on the 'Hot Mic' podcast, 'I have substance issues – primarily with cocaine. It's hard to say out loud. I've been dealing with this on and off since I was 23 and now I'm 45. There was times where I would stop doing it but then there were times where I'd go heavy on it. I just want to let people know this is a really, really tough disease and it's a really tough sickness." Brittany subsequently claimed that she spent years trying to help Jax to 'get better". She said on 'When Reality Hits', 'No one wants Jax to be better more than I do, let's be real. 'I tried and tried and tried for years to help this man get better and for us to be a happy family, I was deeply and madly in love with him, there's no one that can ever deny that," she concluded. 4 Players Who Could Replace Virat Kohli At No. 4 Spot In Tests For India Against England: Karun Nair, Shubman Gill And...
photoDetails english 2912590 The Shubman Gill-led India will play a five-match Test series in England, starting June 20, 2025. During the all-important series, India will have to find an ideal batter for No. 4 spot as a replacement of batting stalwart Virat Kohli, who retired from Test cricket on May 12. Based on recent performances, domestic records, and suitability to English conditions, India have many talented batters, who could replace Kohli at No. 4 spot in the playing XI. Here are four players who could replace Kohli at No. 4 spot in the Indian Test team: Updated:Jun 07, 2025, 08:03 PM IST 1. Karun Nair 1 / 7 Karun Nair was rewarded for his prolific run in domestic cricket with a call-up in the India Test squad for the upcoming series against England. Karun, who is India's second triple-centurion after Virender Sehwag, has experience of batting in the middle order and he can be a strong contender to replace Virat Kohli at No. 4 spot in the Indian cricket team. The 33-year-old Nair recently hit a double hundred while playing for India A against England Lions in a four-day practice game in Canterbury. Karun Nair's Record In Test Cricket 2 / 7 Karun Nair has played just 6 Test matches for India so far, scoring 374 runs with an impressive average of 62.33 and strike rate of 73.91 so far. He has only one century to his name in Test cricket. However, it was the big one as he scored (303 not out) against England in 2016. 2. Shubman Gill 3 / 7 Shubman Gill has been named India's new captain in Test cricket ahead of the upcoming series against England. The 25-year-old Gill mostly batted at the top of the order or at number three in his Test career so far but he could take the big responsibility of replacing Virat Kohli at No. 4 spot in the Indian cricket team. Him moving to No. 4 spot could be a game changer moment for Gill and might elevate his Test career. Shubman Gill's Record In Test Cricket 4 / 7 Shubman Gill has scored 1893 runs in 32 Test matches with an average of 35.05 and strike rate of 59.92 so far. He has 5 centuries and 7 fifties to his name in Test cricket so far. 3. Sai Sudharsan 5 / 7 Sai Sudharsan has got his maiden call-up in India's Test squad for the upcoming series against England after his strong performances during the India A tour of Australia late last year and back to back impressive IPL seasons. Sudharsan, who made his international debut in the ODI format against South Africa in 2023, has a compact technique and strong temperament, which prompted selectors to give up a Test call-up. He can be a good contender to replace Virat Kohli at No. 4 spot in the Indian cricket team. The 23-year-old Sudharsan won the Orange Cap in the recently-concluded IPL 2025 after scoring 759 runs for Gujarat Titans in 15 matches. 4. Dhruv Jurel 6 / 7 Young wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel has played only a few matches for India in Test cricket so far. However, he has impressed everyone with his remarkable temperament under pressure, particularly in his ability to stabilise innings and bat with the tail. The likes of Ravi Shastri and Ravichandran Ashwin have praised Jurel for his composure, shot selection, and ability to adapt to tough situations. Jurel is also very technically solid as a batter, which makes him a good candidate to replace Virat Kohli at No. 4 spot in the Indian cricket team. Dhruv Jurel's Record In Test Cricket 7 / 7 Dhruv Jurel has scored 202 runs in 54 Test matches with an average of 40.40 and strike rate of 53.15 so far. He has one half-century to his name in Test cricket so far.

Justin Bieber's SKYLRK debut gets roasted online, fans say he ‘raided Hailey's closet'
Justin Bieber is no stranger to bold fashion, but his latest attempt to tease his upcoming fashion label, SKYLRK, got dragged instead of hyped. On Friday, the 31-year-old dropped some 'soft launch' fits on Instagram, including a cobalt-blue matching ensemble complete with fuzzy socks and slides — and the internet is not feeling it. View this post on Instagram Justin Bieber drops SKYLRK sneak peek, internet says 'keep it, king' What was meant to be a cool, candid sneak peek quickly spiralled into meme central. Why? Because the photos appeared to be shot in what fans believe is Hailey Bieber's walk-in wardrobe — complete with racks of women's designer dresses, stilettos, and a whole jewellery museum in the background. Naturally, fans did not hold back. Fans react: 'Give Hailey her leggings back' From Pilates comparisons to closet conspiracy theories, the roast fest took off fast. One of the top-liked comments read, 'Justin, stop playing and give Hailey her leggings back.' Another fan called it out bluntly: 'Get out of her closet, Biebs.' The comments on his post | Credit: Instagram/justinbieber Others joked about the fit looking like 'Pilates starter pack energy,' while one user posted a meme of Spongebob with skinny legs. Someone even zoomed into Bieber's lower half and asked, 'Not the little peepee stains, Justin, come on now.' Brutal? Absolutely. Iconic? Maybe. Justin and Hailey Bieber | Credit: Instagram/haileybieber SKYLRK remains a fashion mystery Despite the online chaos, Bieber seems committed to his vision. SKYLRK — the name of the brand he has been teasing since 2023 — still has no official drops, no product reveals, and zero posts on its Instagram page. Its website? Locked behind a password. Suspiciously secretive or genius-level hype building? View this post on Instagram Reportedly, the line will include sweatsuits, beanies, slides, sunglasses, basketball gear, and trainers — a more elevated sibling to Drew House. And according to Page Six, Hailey Bieber herself had a hand in the design process. She previously hinted via a now-expired Instagram Story that she was 'helping out.' With comparisons already flying between SKYLRK's promo items and Hailey's Rhode products (especially that phone case fans are calling a dupe of her Lip Case), some are wondering if this is a fashion crossover — or just a closet clash.
