‘This Checks Out:' Man Says Jeep Wrangler Owners and Disney Adults Have ‘The Same Vibe.' Here's What He Means

Motor 16 hours ago

What do Disney adults and Jeep Wrangler owners have in common? According to people online, a lot.
That's the point one TikTok user made—half-joking, half-serious—in a video that's now been viewed over 685,000 times.
Earlier this month, creator Michael Dallas (@themichaeldallas) declared that Disney adults and Jeep Wrangler owners 'give off the same vibe.' He didn't specify why, noting, 'I don't know how to explain this.' But that didn't matter. The internet understood.
'Give off the same vibe? They're the same people,' one commenter responded.
What Exactly Is a Disney Adult?
Simply put, a Disney adult is an adult
who loves Disney
passionately and without apology.
This might mean they make frequent visits to Disney theme parks, have a closet full of character merchandise, or plan life milestones around Mickey-shaped icons.
The fandom often faces ridicule. A 2022
Rolling Stone
article even labeled Disney adults as one of the most hated groups on the internet.

'Being a Disney adult is nothing short of an embarrassment,' it declared.
The piece referenced a
viral Reddit post
about a bride who reportedly blew her catering budget to hire Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for her wedding. The post generated such a stir that moderators ended the thread.
'I like Disney too, but the 'Disney adult' fanatics who would rather see Mickey & Minnie for 30 minutes rather than feed their guests [are] just so unbelievably selfish,' one commenter wrote. 'I'm glad I don't know these people in real life.'
From Disney Adult to Jeep Drivers
Dallas didn't elaborate, but he offered one theory in his caption: 'Maybe it's the ducks?'
He's referencing the 'ducking' phenomenon—when Jeep Wrangler owners leave rubber ducks on each other's vehicles as a kind of friendly gesture. According to
Motor Trend
, it started with a Canadian Jeep driver in 2020 and quickly became a viral tradition among Wrangler fans.
Today, some owners carry ducks just in case they come across another Jeep. Hertz
once offered
brand-new Wrangler 4xe hybrids with ducks pre-loaded inside.
Like Disney adults, Wrangler owners are
sometimes accused
of treating their fandom
more as a lifestyle
or a cult. But the comparisons are meant to be lighthearted.
Via TikTok direct message, Dallas said that his post "was all in good fun" and "celebrates the quirks we all love to poke fun at."
"Both the Jeep Wrangler community and Disney adults share a passion for self expression, visual flair, and going over the top," he added. "There's something reminiscent of modern over-consumerism when seeing a Wrangler dashboard covered in rubber ducks to accent all of the stick on neon accessories from Amazon covering the exterior or spotting someone with an entire wall dedicated to Mickey ears in the guest bedroom of their four bedroom three bath suburban home; it's harmless but hilarious."
Less Ducks, More Vibes
Both Jeep Wrangler owners and Disney adults are passionate. Both also build communities around a brand. And both can seem a little much to some.
'Some Venn diagrams are just a circle,' one viewer quipped.
Another added, 'If I see someone owns a Jeep, I immediately know they're going to be too much for me. Not always in the same way, but always too much in some way.'
And then there were the self-aware commenters.
'My husband and I are Jeep owners and Disney adults,' one admitted. 'This checks out.'
Of course, not everyone agreed. Some Wrangler owners said the comparison was offensive.
'Nope. Wrangler owner here,' one said. 'Hate the duck thing and hate Disney!'
'There are completely different kinds of Wrangler owners,' another argued.
'As a Wrangler owner with a deep hatred for Disney and all their movies and parks, I'm offended,' a third said.
Dallas told
Motor1
, "At the end of the day, it's about finding joy in the things you love. Whether that's off roading with your duck adorned Jeep or planning your next Disneybound outfit, I say embrace it. The world's more fun with a little bit of extra personality."

New from the Boss: Seven albums lost in Springsteen's desk drawer

During his 50-year music career, Bruce Springsteen brought out 21 studio albums, both with and without his E Street Band. But he actually recorded a few more in that time, and now the man whom his fans call "Boss" is issuing seven albums in one go. The box set "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" contains 83 songs which Springsteen recorded between 1983 and 2018, the vast majority of which will be entirely new to Springsteen fans. "The Lost Albums' were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released," Springsteen said on the release of the box set. "I've played this music to myself and often close friends for years now." With boxsets and other album releases of this kind there is always a suspicion that an artist is trying to make money from leftovers, so to speak – records which at the time for some reason did not become albums and were put on the shelf. So the question is: How good are "The Lost Tracks"? Eighteen songs between 'Nebraska' and 'Born In The U.S.A.' The new release kicks of with the "LA Garage Sessions 83" which took place between the albums "Nebraska" and "Born In The U.S.A." Springsteen told the music entertainment industry magazine Rolling Stone . "At the time I wasn't sure where I was going with 'Born in the U.S.A.' I had half the record, but I didn't have the other half. And so it was just a record that happened in between those two records." "My Hometown" which we hear as a less polished version here, at the time ended up on Springsteen's most commercially successful album. The rest of the songs did not. But a genuine jewel is the hard-driving "One Love" which recalls Fleetwood Mac. There are other great tunes like "Sugarland" and "County Fair." With the exception of the Oscar-winning title song for the film "Philadelphia," the 1990s - which Rolling Stone called "his infamous wilderness years" - were a period when Springsteen was less successful but also controversial for his fans. Without his E Street Band, which he broke up with in 1989, the "Boss" seemed to have lost his way. "I often read about myself in the 90s as some lost period or something," the 75-year-old told Rolling Stone. "Not really. Really, I was working the whole time." The boxset, he said, is proof. Five of the seven albums were from that period. On the album "Streets Of Philadelphia Sessions" are ten melancholic pop songs with drum loops and synthesizers. "The combination of the synthesizers and the loops made for a sort of dark, dreamy sound," Springsteen said. "And there's quite a bit of that on the record." Asked why such great tracks such as "Waiting On The End Of The World" were not released at the time, he answers: "I didn't think the timing was right." A film soundtrack, a country album, and mariachi vibes With "Faithless," the artist composed what was a soundtrack for a Western film – which however was never produced. It is an atmospheric mixture of country, folk and rock, along with two atmospheric instrumental pieces. The foot-stomping "All God's Children" with its gospel influences and crude singing style is reminiscent of Tom Waits. Springsteen said it was his wife Patti Scialfa who pushed him to release the album. "Somewhere North Of Nashville" is a moody country album with pedal-steel guitar sounds. And it's fascinating to see how easily Springsteen adopted the country music style and made it his own. It was initially planned as a double-album with the comparatively sombre "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" but it just didn't work out. Some listening tips here: "Repo Man" and "Blue Highway." "Inyo" on the other hand is a portrait of the California desert badlands of border towns, dusty roads and dried-out aqueducts, with songs containing such titles as "Adelita," "The Lost Charro," and "The Aztec Dance." Alongside Springsteen's voice and acoustic guitar are elements of Mexican mariachi music of trumpets and violins. Those who like the album "Western Stars" will be happy to hear that the "Twilight Hours" recorded in the same period is a further work of the same style. But whereas the songs on "Western Stars" were almost completely covers, all the "Twilight Hours" tracks are Springsteen's own compositions. If you did not know better, they sound like classics of the 1950s and 1960s by such artists as Andy Williams and Glen Campbell. Then there's "Perfect World' which is a lost treasure that is not a cohesive work but rather a collection of individual rock songs. "That was the one record that I didn't conceive of as a record," he said. "I wanted just a little fun, noise and rock & roll to finish the package." A genuine highlight in this is the fabulous "Cutting Knife." An overpowering work pulled from the desk drawer Can this man ever really write a bad song? Doubts about this are justified. Without question, many artists would be thrilled if they had written only one or two of these songs or at least recorded them. Springsteen could permit himself to simply set them aside. So it's all the more great news that he has changed his mind. "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" is an overwhelming work, an exciting musical discovery tour covering till now scarcely known Springsteen territory, a work which once again underscores his musical genius and integrity.

Metal Icon, 61, Delights Fans with Hilarious Moment of Honesty at Concert

Metal Icon, 61, Delights Fans with Hilarious Moment of Honesty at Concert originally appeared on Parade. One of my favorite musical events I've been following recently is Metallica's current tour. The band has dates scheduled all the way out to next summer, and they have been selling out stadiums all over the country. The thing that has made this tour special for me is all of the great moments that have come because of the fans. The crowd has been a pretty big focus, with frontman James Hetfield regularly talking to fans at every show. All of these moments have put a pretty big emphasis on the relationship the band has with their fanbase, especially highlighting the positivity of the community that has formed around Metallica over the years. Recently, we got another great crowd moment from the band, with Hetfield poking fun at himself. "I never would've been caught dead with any of my parents at a concert. But this is so beautiful. Maybe it's because we're so frickin' old, and everyone's got kids now," says Hetfield. Fans found the whole interaction very endearing, leaving their reactions in the comments on the clip. "Yes... we are old! 😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘" "Doesn't matter the age. I frickin' love Metallica." It's perfectly obvious that the band is aging well, and Hetfield clearly shows no signs of slowing down. No matter what, they'll have a great and passionate fanbase to fall back on well into their later Icon, 61, Delights Fans with Hilarious Moment of Honesty at Concert first appeared on Parade on Jun 24, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 24, 2025, where it first appeared.

Aaron Rodgers sounds off on his wife wanting private life, says public won't see or hear from him when he's done playing football

Aaron Rodgers has gone off the grid before. He says he's ready to do it again — forever. And that's something he has in common with his new wife. Rodgers, however, isn't going anywhere, for at least one more year. He's very much keeping himself in the public for another NFL season after he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month. And he goes on talk shows and podcasts and has documentaries made about him that also keeps him in the spotlight beyond the football field. But one more year, he says, is all it will be. Advertisement "When this is all done, I'm out; you won't see me," Rodgers claimed on the June 24 appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show." Rodgers signed a one-year contract with the Steelers for a reason. "I'm pretty sure this is it," Rodgers said. "That's why we just did a one-year deal. Steelers didn't need to put any extra years on it." While Rodgers will be in the public space all season, one person who won't be is his new wife. And don't expect Rodgers to post any wedding photos of his mystery wife on social media. In fact, he blasted the media and the "sick society" who wants to get a glimpse of her. Advertisement Here are a few takeaways from Rodgers on McAfee's show. Who is Aaron Rodgers married to? Rodgers spent a significant amount of his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" discussing how his mystery wife wants to remain private. And so does he. The four-time MVP confirmed two weeks ago that he's been married for a couple of months. Little is known about her, however, which is a stark contrast to his former relationships. Rodgers previously said on McAfee's show that the woman whom he was in a relationship with doesn't have social media and that her name was Brittani. There has been a lot of interest in her identity. And Rodgers has had enough. Advertisement "Now I'm with somebody who's private, who doesn't want to be in the public eye, didn't sign up to be a celebrity, doesn't want to be part of it," Rodgers said June 24. "And because I do things in private because I want my personal life to be private and now I'm somehow weird and now the paparazzi is stalking me on the beach trying to get a picture of her, stalking me in the workout. What is the entitlement to information that where we're living in society these days?" Aaron Rodgers' marriage Ever since Rodgers walked the red carpet at a Kentucky Derby event in early May wearing what appeared to a wedding band questions swirled over his marriage status. Rodgers then confirmed to Pittsburgh reporters during his first mandatory minicamp June 12 that he was married. Advertisement His close friends and family, whom he doesn't have a relationship with, did not know about his wedding. Rodgers said paparazzi have been trying to get photos of his new home in Pittsburgh and are "stalking" him on the beach in an attempt to get a photo of his wife. "It's a sick society, isn't it," Rodgers said. "It's a sick society. I lived in the public eye for 20 years and I had public relationships. How did that work out?" Rodgers' previous girlfriends or significant others were all celebrities and he often was in the public eye with them on red carpets or other major events. Advertisement "What happened to common decency about security and a personal life where we have to dive into details of where you live, and what you're doing and who you're with and who your wife is and if you even have a wife and if you're doing some attention-grabbing thing because my wife is a private person, doesn't have social media, hasn't been a public person, doesn't want to be a public person, but now that's somehow a weird thing," Rodgers questioned. Aaron Rodgers' wife, Brittani Rodgers first brought up that he was in a relationship during McAfee's show in December and revealed the woman's name as "Brittani." No photos have ever been seen of the two and that's not going to change. He questioned why it has become the norm in society for people to feel entitled to people's personal lives like his. Advertisement "Just because I'm not selling wedding photos to the magazines or leaking personal information or making a loving post on Instagram, and look, (if) you want to do that, that's fine, that's your prerogative, I don't care. That's just not what I want to do," Rodgers said. "And I'm with somebody who wants to be private. If and when she wants to be out and there's a picture, she'll choose that. And she deserves the right to that." Rodgers also wants to live a private life. "When this is all done, I'm out; you won't see me," Rodgers claimed. "I know that I've chosen to be in the public eye for one more season, but my private life is staying private." Advertisement And don't expect to get any updates from Rodgers' brothers or parents. "Any other ridiculous story about my family that I don't talk to, they wouldn't know any information about me," Rodgers said. "Like leave them alone. Aaron Rodgers' contract Rodgers signed a one-year contract with the Steelers. His average salary is $13.65 million with a $10 million signing bonus, according to Spotrac. There are also incentives, including $500,000 for a playoff berth, $600,000 with a wild card win or first-round bye, $750,000 for a divisional round win, $1 million for a conference championship, $1.5 million for a Super Bowl championship and $1.5 million if he wins the league MVP. Advertisement After two disappointing seasons with the New York Jets, Rodgers says he didn't need to come back to prove any doubters. "It's I love the game," Rodgers said. "There's been a beautiful relationship. It's my first love, when I was 6 years old and dreaming about playing quarterback and being in the Super Bowl and winning the Super Bowl." Rodgers said it took time for him to decide if he wanted to play another season because he "had so many other things going on in my life were taking my mind and energy elsewhere." "I didn't need this," he said. "I didn't need it (at) all. I didn't feel the need to prove anything to anybody. Don't have any chip on my shoulder. I don't want the attention. When this is all done, you won't see me. I won't be in the public. I don't want to live a public life. That's why it's so strange what's going on right now in my private life, 'cause I don't want to live a life in the public eye. When this is done, I'm done. You won't see me, and I'm looking forward to it. While I'm in it for this year I'm going to give the Steelers everything I got and empty the tank and be super comfortable and satisfied with whatever happens." Aaron Rodgers' dog Like Aaron Rodgers' wife, his dog didn't make an appearance on McAfee's show. Advertisement But like his wife, he was a main character throughout the show. His name is Apollo for those who are interested. Rodgers said Apollo was upstairs during the interview when McAfee asked about him. But the paparazzi apparently will get a good look at him on the beach when they're trying to catch Rodgers' wife. "You want to keep stalking me on the beach and getting photos of me and Apollo, go for it," Rodgers said. "I don't give a (expletive)?" Rodgers added that when he was walking on the beach in Malibu by his house with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and noticed cameras he and his coach flipped them off. Aaron Rodgers retiring Aaron Rodgers didn't announce a retirement farewell tour during his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show." Advertisement But it appears his 21st season will be his last. "This was really about finishing with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career that I've had," Rodgers said. "I played 20 freakin' years; it's been a long run. What better place to finish it in one of cornerstone franchises in the NFL, with Mike Tomlin and a great group of leadership and guys in a city that expects you to win." Aaron Rodgers on Mike Tomlin Rodgers has a strong respect for Tomlin. The 41-year-old quarterback said he appreciated Tomlin's understanding and patience of him this offseason. He noted the two had "honest conversations every single week" after he became a free agent. Advertisement That "was really meaningful to me," Rodgers said. Tomlin and Rodgers will look to reach the mountaintop of the NFL together for a second time in each of their careers. Tomlin last won the Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2008, while Rodgers' first and only Super Bowl came 15 years ago with the Packers during the 2010 season by defeating the Steelers and Tomlin.
