UN Agency Reports Desperate Hunger Messages from Gaza Staff
The UN and aid groups regularly report famine risks in the Palestinian territory, which Israel has been targeting with a genocidal ethnic cleansing for more than 21 months.
Doctors, Gaza's Civil Defense, and the aid group Doctors Without Borders reported a sharp rise in malnutrition cases in recent days within devastated Gaza.
UNRWA posted on X Monday that shortages in Gaza have driven food prices up by 40 times their normal cost.
'Lift the siege and let humanitarian aid enter safely and at scale,' the UN organization pleaded, adding that it has stockpiles outside Gaza that could feed more than two million Gazans for over three months.
On Sunday, the UN agency accused Israeli authorities of weaponizing food as a means of war against the Gazan population.
Philippe Lazzarini UNRWA's Commissioner-General deplored that the agency has been denied access to deliver food into Gaza since March 2.
'Food is available only a few kilometers away. UNRWA alone has enough stock available outside of Gaza for the entire population for the next 3 months,' Lazzarini said.
The Health Ministry in Gaza reported that 18 people, including children, died of starvation in 24 hours between Saturday and Sunday, bringing the number of famine victims to 86 Palestinians, including 76 children.
International calls to end the Israeli siege of Gaza
Today, 26 international countries have signed a joint statement condemning the criminal actions of the Israeli government against civilians in Gaza. The countries, including the UK, called on Israel to promptly call off its heinous use of starvation as a weapon against Gazans.
The signatories said that they have one simple, urgent message that Israel's genocide on Gaza must end now.
'We condemn the drip feeding of aid and the inhumane killing of civilians, including children, seeking to meet their most basic needs of water and food. It is horrifying that over 800 Palestinians have been killed while seeking aid.'
The statement also urged Israel to abide by international humanitarian law. Tags: Gazagaza genocideIsraelmalnutritionUNRWA

Gaza Starvation Death Toll Reaches 114 as More Children Are Irreversibly Malnourished
Rabat — Gaza recorded tragedy amid the Israeli-induced famine in the enclave, as yet another child starved to death this morning. Wafa news agency said medical staff at the Al-Ahli Baptist hospital confirmed the death of the young boy due to severe malnutrition, while Gaza continues to suffer through a growing humanitarian catastrophe. The same source quoted medical reports, which confirmed that over 900,000 children in Gaza are now experiencing starvation. Alarmingly, 70,000 of them reached the stage of clinical malnutrition. The death toll due to starvation now sits at 114 people. The desperate situation is even more exacerbated by the spread of illnesses, including water-related diseases, across Gaza. International NGO Oxfam launched an appeal, warning against the deteriorating situation in the enclave. The organization reported that watery diarrhea and bloody diarrhea in the region increased significantly over the past three months without urgent intervention. According to Wafa agency, Oxfam said the recorded data 'may not fully capture the scale of the crisis.' Amid starvation and diseases, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue their genocidal assaults on defenseless civilians. Al Jazeera reported that Israeli attacks killed at least 11 Palestinians since dawn, including four aid seekers.

Forced Starvation in Gaza Rises to 113
Rabat – The number of reported deaths due to forced starvation imposed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Palestinians in Gaza reached 113. NGOs and aid communities are raising alarm over worsening conditions, urging an international intervention as two new deaths due to famine were recorded in the past 24 hours. Gaza's Government Media Office said the enclave is in dire need of bags of flour, urging a global intervention to end the crisis and to avoid a 'comprehensive humanitarian collapse.' The office stressed that Gaza needs 'no less than 500,000 bags of flour per week,' to avoid famine and malnutrition amid the Israeli blockade. 'We call on all countries of the world, without exception, to immediately break the siege, permanently open the crossings, and allow the entry of baby milk and aid to more than 2.4 million people besieged in the Gaza Strip,' the office said. Al Jazeera reported that three aid seekers are among dozens of Palestinians killed since dawn, quoting correspondents, who describe the situation in the region as 'nothing short of horrific.' 'We see a dramatic surge of acute malnutrition among children, specifically below the age of five. The bodies look visibly very thin. Those children should be learning, growing; instead, they are lying weak in shelters, tents or hospitals,' Al Jazeera quoted its journalist Tareq Abu Azzoum as saying. The Palestinian Ministry of Health issued a statement today, calling for the protection of trucks expected to enter Gaza with medical supplies. 'The items expected to arrive are of great importance and urgent need to continue providing medical care to the wounded and sick and save lives,' the ministry said. IOF's genocidal war on Gaza has killed over 202,000 Palestinians since October 2023. Over 9,000 remain missing while tens of thousands are injured, and millions are facing famine and malnutrition.

At Least 10 Palestinians Died Due to Forced Starvation in Gaza in 24 Hours
Rabat – At least 10 people died due to forced starvation and malnutrition in Gaza over the past 24 hours, local medical sources confirmed today. At least 25 children died in the past three days due to hunger-related causes, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported today, stressing that the situation is 'growing more desperate by the hour.' The same source identified the estimated number of children suffering from hunger in the region at 900,000, of whom 70,000 have entered critical stages of malnutrition. People with kidney diseases and diabetes face a serious risk due to malnutrition, while many are experiencing other acute medical crises as Israeli Occupation Forces continue their blockade to deprive Palestinians of essential supplies. According to Al Jazeera, the total number of people who starved to death in Gaza reached 111 as of today. The news outlet said at least 80 children have died from malnutrition since the Israeli authorities launched their genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023. Many world leaders and protesters have been denouncing the worsening plight of Palestinians. Converging reports made headlines recently of Tunisian President Kais Saied's meeting with US President's top Africa adviser Massad Boulos. During that meeting, Kais Saied showed the US official images of starving children in Gaza. An official video of the meeting shows the Tunisian president saying: 'It is time for all of humanity to wake up and put an end to these crimes against the Palestinian people…. I believe you know these images well.' The Tunisian president called the situation 'absolutely unacceptable,' describing the situation as a 'crime against all of humanity.' As starvation continues, IOF exacerbates the situation with airstrikes and bombardment. In the past 24 hours, IOF killed at least 100 Palestinians, including 34 aid seekers. The death toll since October 2023 has reached at least 59,219 people, while over 143,045 have sustained injuries. Since May 27, IOF also killed 100 paid seekers, with over 7,207 injured.
