On Aug. 3, the former couple, both 65, were seen driving near their longtime home at Royal Lodge in Windsor, appearing pensive and somber. Andrew was behind the wheel with Fergie, as the Duchess of York is affectionately known, seated beside him as they headed toward nearby Windsor Castle for a walk. The former couple, who share daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, divorced in 1996 after a decade of marriage, but remain close.
The outing comes just days after the Daily Mail published excerpts from Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by author Andrew Lownie. The bombshell biography paints a deeply unflattering portrait of Andrew — alleging everything from a violent altercation with Prince Harry to lurid behavior involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Among the most headline-making claims: the book alleges that Prince Andrew, 65, and Prince Harry, now 40, got into a heated argument at a family gathering in 2013 that escalated into a physical fight, leaving Andrew with a bloody nose. The excerpt also alleges that Andrew later insulted Meghan Markle behind the scenes, calling her an 'opportunist' and casting doubt on the longevity of the couple's marriage.
In response, Prince Harry's spokesperson firmly denied both allegations.
"I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry," the spokesperson told PEOPLE.
The Duke of Sussex's team added that legal action is underway
"Such are the gross inaccuracies, damaging and defamatory remarks made in the Daily Mail's story, I can confirm a legal letter from Prince Harry's counsel has been sent to the Mail," the spokesperson said.
PEOPLE has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.
According to the excerpt, a "heated argument" between Prince Harry and Prince Andrew erupted at a family event in 2013 over "something Andrew said behind Harry's back."
The tensions reportedly escalated to the point where 'punches were thrown' and Andrew sustained a bloody nose before the brawl was broken up.
In another allegation, Entitled also alleges that Prince Andrew later questioned his nephew's relationship with Meghan, describing her as an "opportunist" and saying the marriage wouldn't last.
Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York will be published on Aug. 14. A summary of the text said the book "exposes the secrets and scandals behind their extravagant lives and troubled marriage," chronicling his fall from grace in light of his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
King Charles' younger brother took a seismic step back from working royal duties in November 2019 following a scrutinized interview with BBC's Newsnight about his alleged ties to the late convicted sex offender. In January 2022, the transition was made official when Queen Elizabeth stripped Prince Andrew of his military titles and patronages after he attempted to have Virginia Giuffre's sexual assault lawsuit against him dismissed.
The Duke of York has denied any wrongdoing and in February 2022, settled with Giuffre out of court for an undisclosed sum.
The Duchess of York has stood by her ex-husband's side through the turmoil and the former couple joined King Charles and other royal family members for church on Easter in April.

Paul Merton is struggling to find "new things to say" on Have I Got News for You as the same topics are making top news stories. The 68-year-old comedian and the 65-year-old journalist Ian Hislop have been panellists on the BBC One comedy quiz show - which sees them and their celebrity teammate answer questions based on, and make light of, the week's top news stories - since 1990. He explained: "We sometimes cover Ukraine, but you don't want a war story every week, as I think the reason people tune in is to escape from the bad news stories. "We have to make sure we're not concentrating too much on the gloomy stuff." Paul said it was "special" that his teenage idols - the late comedians Peter Cook and Spike Milligan - appeared on Have I Got News for You in 1992 and 1995 respectively. He added: "I think when you meet someone whom you deeply admired when you were a teenager, it's something special when you meet them as an adult. "Spike Milligan and Peter Cook, for example. They would stand out as extraordinary people that you couldn't quite believe you were sharing a screen with." Paul adored the comedienne Victoria Wood - who died of oesophageal cancer at the age of 62 in 2016 - and he thinks she turned down an offer to do Have I Got News for You because she was not keen on the programme. He explained: "I was a huge fan of Victoria Wood, and it would have been lovely to have her on. "I think she was asked, but maybe it wasn't her thing? "I think most people we wanted to get on the show have been on it."

‘Ebony & Ivory' Review: Imperfect Harmony
'Ebony & Ivory' is a deeply unpleasant movie. Grating, juvenile and repetitive, this eccentric stoner farce written and directed by Jim Hosking feels at times more like an experiment in social conditioning than a comedy — like one of those Stanley Milgram exercises designed to study the limits of human behavior, as if Hosking wanted to test how much suffering an audience could endure. Hosking, whose breakout film 'The Greasy Strangler' sustains a similar if marginally less abrasive tone, has a distinctive style. His main comic strategy is to write an absurd line of dialogue — something alliterative and nonsensical but unfunny, the cruder the better — and to have his actors repeat it over and over, sometimes more than a dozen times. Does the phrase 'Scottish cottage' amuse you? Well, what if I wrote 'Scottish cottage' again? This is, loosely speaking, a music biopic: Sky Elobar and Gil Gex play thinly veiled caricatures of Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, meeting to collaborate on their hit duet that shares the film's name. Mainly they eat vegetarian food, bicker and prance around nude, showing off prosthetic genitals, in case that sounds like a laugh riot. It could be called a parody, but of what? It bears no resemblance to the biopic form. Anti-comedy is often tedious and is difficult to sustain — even the strongest films in this mode, like the delightful 'Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie,' are a tough sit. 'Ebony & Ivory,' in its unrelenting aggression, is particularly exhausting, though I suppose you have to admire the integrity of its vision. Irritating as Hosking's humor is, you can't deny his commitment to the bit. Ebony & IvoryNot rated. Running time: 1 hour 28 minutes. In theaters and available to rent or buy on most major platforms.

MasterChef makes controversial return as viewers say 'well, this is awkward'
The BBC One cooking contest has begun its 2025 series, featuring sacked hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace. What did you miss? MasterChef made its return to TV under a cloud of controversy on Wednesday night, as BBC One finally aired the 2025 series four months later than expected. Host Gregg Wallace had been accused of sexually inappropriate behaviour off camera by many female former contestants and production staff, whilst an investigation into the claims found his co-star John Torode had allegedly used a racist slur. Both presenters have since been axed from the show, but have hit back at the accusations. The latest series was already filming by the time the first claims about Wallace emerged in November 2024 and the competition was completed before the allegations about Torode, with the BBC announcing last month that it intended to air the series for the sake of the contestants. But as MasterChef 2025 made its debut, one viewer acknowledged: "Well, this is awkward." What, how and why? There was a mixed response to MasterChef's return to screens - the series had already filmed with Torode and Wallace as hosts, although there are rumours that Anna Haugh will replace Wallace in the final few episodes. Grace Dent hosted Celebrity MasterChef with Torode which has filmed and is set to air later in the year, but both Torode and Wallace have now been dropped from the franchise. It's been a controversy full of twists and turns, so it's no surprise that some viewers have struggled to keep up with who still stars in which series. One viewer was surprised to see Wallace on screen, writing: "What the heck is Gregg Wallace doing in the #MasterChefUK? Very bad decision, BBC." Someone else agreed: "Shame on the BBC and big up To the contestant's." The BBC has reported a drop in viewing figures, with 1.96m watching Wednesday's launch episode compared with last year's launch show, which had 2.73m viewers. However, there could be other factors affecting the viewing figures including launching at a different time of year. One viewer with mixed feelings commented: "So pleased for the contestants that masterchef is being shown on tv. To be clear, I stand behind @JohnTorode1 but was thoroughly expecting grace dent and not Gregg." Others called it "a shame" that the hosts who have been with MasterChef since 2005 would not be back, as one person posted: "Putting aside the controversy with Gregg Wallace & John Torode it feels a bloody shame they will not be presenting the show anymore." If you don't want to watch - that's your choice." One other viewer added: "It's back, only watching this, because the Amateur cooks, need to show what they can do. Not about the presenters." Another person weighed up whether to watch the series and wrote: "Hate the hosts but I love #Masterchefuk sooooo I'll have to grin and bear it." What have John Torode, Gregg Wallace and the BBC said about the MasterChef controversy? Both former MasterChef hosts have spoken out since the investigation into complaints about their behaviour. Wallace, who had previously claimed that the allegations against him had come from "a handful of middle class women of a certain age" – a remark he later apologised for, issued a statement after the report was published about his behaviour, which saw 45 out of 83 allegations made against him upheld. "For eight months, my family and I have lived under a cloud. Trial by media, fuelled by rumour and clickbait," he told PA. "None of the serious allegations against me were upheld. I challenged the remaining issue of unwanted touching but have had to accept a difference in perception, and I am deeply sorry for any distress caused. It was never intended." Meanwhile, Torode, who claimed he first learned he had been sacked by the BBC when it was reported by the media, said he had no recollection of the incident he was accused of: "Although I haven't heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay – I am seeing and reading that I've been 'sacked' from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I'm accused of. The enquiry could not even state the date or year of when I am meant to have said something wrong. "I'd hoped that I'd have some say in my exit from a show I've worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in last few days seem to have prevented that. "Over the past few months, I have been considering my life and the shape of it now and in the future. Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent along with two fantastic Christmas specials will be my last. Personally, I have loved every minute working on MasterChef, but it's time to pass the cutlery to someone else. For whoever takes over, love it as I have. "I will watch fondly from afar as I now focus on the many other exciting projects that I have been working towards. My tummy will be grateful for a rest after 20 years of eating, but what a joy it has been. Life is everchanging and ever moving and sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere. Thank you for the many years of MasterChef." In explaining their decision to go ahead with the series, the BBC said in a statement: "After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 6 August. "MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey. This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it. "In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings against both presenters. We have been very clear on the standards of behaviour that we expect of those who work at the BBC or on shows made for the BBC. "However, we believe that broadcasting this series is the right thing to do for these cooks who have given so much to the process. We want them to be properly recognised and give the audience the choice to watch the series. "At this stage we have not taken a decision on the celebrity series and Christmas special, which was filmed earlier this year, and we will confirm our plans later in the year. "Most importantly MasterChef is a brilliant, much-loved programme which is bigger than any one individual. There are many talented, dedicated and hard-working people who make the show what it is. It will continue to flourish on the BBC and we look forward to it returning stronger than ever in the future." MasterChef continues on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday.
