‘Outlander' prequel ‘Blood of My Blood' steps in early Season 2 renewal—know more
The newly independent streaming outlet has ordered a second season of
Outlander
: Blood of My Blood, a prequel to its long-running drama. The renewal for the series comes about six weeks before Blood of My Blood's August 8 series premiere; production on season two began Monday.
The cast
Blood of My Blood, which is ordered in cooperation with the final season of Outlander in early 2023, is a prequel in both of its fictional worlds. It follows the parents of the main series lead characters, Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan, and Claire Randall/Fraser, played by Caitríona Balfe. Ellen MacKenzie, done by Harriet Slater, and Brian Fraser, portrayed by Jamie Roy, will become Jamie's parents in 18th-century Scotland, while in World War I-era Britain, Julia Moriston, who is Hermione Corfield, and Henry Beauchamp, who will be delivered by Jeremy Irvine, are destined to be Claire's mother and father.
Blood of My Blood also stars Tony Curran, Rory Alexander, Séamus McLean Ross, Sam Retford, and Conor MacNeill. Roberts executive produces with Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Jim Kohlberg.

As per the reports of 'The Hollywood Reporter,' showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts said, 'The passion and talent our cast and crew have poured into Outlander: Blood of My Blood has been extraordinary, and we're thrilled to continue these epic love stories in season two,' in a statement. Further adding, 'Just as audiences fell in love with Jamie and Claire, we hope viewers will be enamoured by these new couples when they meet them this summer.'

Prosecutors stated that the 39-year-old man, whose name has not been disclosed, is a convicted sex offender and is currently wanted by authorities in the UK. He allegedly staged it for some sick social media stunt. According to Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the British citizen is currently wanted in the UK for failing to meet the requirements of the country's sex offenders register. He was taken into custody early Saturday morning after police were called to the theme park by a 'guest' who said that the man had hired him to portray the bride's father in the staged ceremony, reported BBC. The man said he had been paid €12,000 to play the role and that he only realised at the last minute that the "bride" was a child, according to a statement by Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier. Preliminary findings said he had allegedly been "made-up professionally so that his face appeared totally different from his own," according to the prosecutor, reported BBC.
