Rain And Sunshine Bring Pleasant Weather, Normal Monsoon Activity
1 2 Nagpur: The city witnessed a mix of rain and sunshine on Saturday, as several areas experienced intense spells for brief periods. The weather remained pleasant, with low humidity levels adding to the comfort. According to the forecast, the city is likely to see light rains over the next few days. In Vidarbha, Gondia recorded the highest rainfall at 37.2mm, following isolated heavy spells in the region. Other areas saw varied rainfall patterns, ranging from light to moderate intensity. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that monsoon activity was normal across Vidarbha. Rainfall distribution was widespread, with heavy showers at isolated places and light to moderate rainfall in most parts of the region. The department noted a significant drop in maximum temperatures across Vidarbha, bringing them to normal levels for the season. Minimum temperatures, however, showed no major changes and remained within the normal range. Gondia also recorded both the highest and lowest temperatures of the day in Vidarbha — the highest maximum temperature at 32.6°C and the lowest minimum at 21.4°C. With the monsoon maintaining its normal pattern, residents can expect intermittent showers and comfortable weather conditions in the coming days. The IMD's short-term outlook suggests that while intense rainfall will likely be limited to isolated areas, light rain will continue to keep temperatures moderate across the region. The current conditions mark a welcome change from the hot and humid spells earlier this season, bringing relief to both urban and rural parts of Vidarbha.
