Kapil Sharma Lights Up Aamir Khan's House With His Singing Skills Ahead Of Sitaare Zameen Par
Mumbai: Ahead of the release of his upcoming sports comedy "Sitaare Zameen Par", Aamir Khan hosted a star-studded musical evening at his residence in Mumbai.
Treating the netizens with a glimpse of the fun evening, comedian-actor Kapil Sharma dropped a video of himself bringing the house down.
The clip featured Kapil enjoying a fruitful jamming session with music composer Shankar Mahadevan, with Aamir Khan accompanying the two.
"A special evening with the special 'sitaare'of 'sitaare zameen par' . Thank you Aamir bhai for the most beautiful evening & Wish you the best for #sitaarezameenpar releasing on 20th June," Kapil captioned the post.
Kapil has proved his singing prowess several times during his popular show, "The Great Indian Kapil Show" and this time as well he managed to leave everyone awestruck.
Additionally, another video has surfaced on social media where Ranbir Kapoor in a clean-shaven avatar joined Aamir and the cast of "Sitaare Zameen Par" for a photo session.
Moreover, Aamir was also seen welcoming Sachin Tendulkar and his better half Anjali in a separate video.
Many others from the world of entertainment graced the musical night.
Helmed by R. S. Prasanna, "Sitaare Zameen Par" introduces not one, not two, but ten young actors including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
Accompanying them, the project will also see Genelia Deshmukh, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, Zeenat Hussain, and Nikhat Khan in key roles.

A spiritual successor to Aamir's 2007 outing "Taare Zameen Par", the film is a remake of the Spanish film "Champions", which was released in 2018.
Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, the renowned composer trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy has scored the tunes for the drama.
"Sitaare Zameen Par" is expected to reach the cinema halls on 20 June.

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, the actor-producer shared his thoughts on how the fast shift to OTT after the pandemic has affected theatre business. He explained that releasing films too soon online takes away from the cinema experience, and he strongly believes that good films deserve to be seen on the big screen. In a candid conversation, Aamir Khan reflected on how the rise of OTT platforms has impacted the theatrical experience. 'I don't know any business where you offer your product, and if someone doesn't buy it, you tell them—don't worry, I'll drop it at your house for free in eight weeks," Aamir said, adding, 'It doesn't make sense to me. That's the reason many films aren't doing well in theatres." He described the current situation as a 'famine and feast" model where either a few films do extremely well or most don't work at all. He believes the early OTT release trend has weakened the theatrical culture and, therefore, made a conscious choice to keep his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par exclusive to theatres. 'I believe in theatres. I believe in my audience. If you make a good film, people will come to watch it on the big screen." When asked about Laal Singh Chaddha, which got a warm reception on OTT after a lukewarm run in theatres, Aamir said, 'If someone doesn't enjoy a film in theatres, they won't suddenly like it at home. Your opinion of the film doesn't change just because of where you watch it." He also acknowledged that high costs at multiplexes — not just tickets but food and overall experience — discourage middle-of-the-road films, pushing audiences to wait for OTT. Despite this, Aamir is committed to making heartfelt cinema, even if it's not the most commercially obvious choice. 'After Laal Singh Chaddha, everyone told me to do an action film. But the story of Sitaare Zameen Par really touched me. When something enters my bloodstream, I can't ignore it. That's how it was with Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, and Dangal too," he said. He recalled how Lagaan happened because no one else was ready to produce it. He turned producer out of necessity and passion. He said, 'It wasn't a practical decision. Everyone said no, but I couldn't shake it off. That's how I became a producer—by accident." On a parting note, Aamir emphasised that his choices have never been driven by trends, but by the emotional pull of a good story. 'I could have played it safe. Aamir Khan's much-awaited comedy-sports drama Sitaare Zameen Par is set to hit theatres on June 20. Ahead of its release, the actor-filmmaker has expressed doubts about the film's box office prospects. During a conversation with Galatta Plus, Aamir shared his concern about Sitaare Zameen Par doing well at the box office. He said, 'When I look at the film today, I think I am quite happy with it. I think what we set out to make, we have made. Will it work at the box office? I have no idea. The fact of the matter is, throughout my career, whenever my film is released, I suddenly become aware. My film is a comedy, but right now only action is working. When Ghajini came, my film was action, but action wasn't working then. Nobody wants to see action.' The actor added, 'My film always releases at a time when it's completely ill-timed. When my comedy film comes out, action films are working. So I am constantly stressed that I don't know right now everyone wants to see action. The last 12 films have been action and blockbusters.
