Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler says Diego Gomez has "something special" to offer his team after impressing on his first Premier League start.The 21-year-old was at the heart of the Seagulls' best moves in the first half of Tuesday's win over Bournemouth, playing Kaoru Mitoma through on goal with a fine pass before another fine ball led to Joao Pedro winning the penalty that opened the scoring.Gomez arrived from MLS club Inter Miami in January - where he featured alongside former Barcelona stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba - but had been limited to just four substitute appearances in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup."I knew what would come because I see him in training every day and every time he went on the pitch as a sub he always had an impact," Hurzeler said."He has a special profile - he's very helpful for our team."He has this passion inside of him, this intensity. He defends forward - he plays forward and that's something special."It was the first time Brighton had won four consecutive Premier League games and moved firmly into contention for European qualification. However, Hurzeler only has his attention on the next game."I am not a big fan to emphasise one victory too much or to emphasise one loss to much," he added."We have to focus on the present. We have to understand why we are now in this situation, what makes us strong as a team, what makes us strong as individuals and that's what has to get in our mind."

T100 Triathlon champion Marten Van Riel knows he must improve his performances if he is to defend his world title later this year. The Belgian was left disappointed with a sixth-place finish in San Francisco two weeks ago but has an immediate chance to make amends in Vancouver this weekend. Missing out on the podium last time out was a blow to Van Riel's end of season objectives following a third-place finish in Singapore to open his season strongly. But the 32-year-old is confident some training time on Vancouver Island has been the perfect way to prepare ahead of the third races of the series. 'I had a really good start to the season in Singapore, I was very happy with the result but San Francisco was a bit below my expectations,' he said. 'I expected more of myself in that race. I just felt like I didn't have it there. That whole week I didn't feel super good, I was a bit stressed out because I didn't have my luggage. I didn't feel comfortable. 'It's something I have got back through 10 days in Victoria, I have fully recovered and then had a couple of sessions to sharpen everything up. I'm feeling good and hoping for a better day. 'We had a little preparation camp for 10 days there and yesterday flew in by water plane, so I made a good entry. I love the vibe here, it's very relaxed and chill.' "I know all about Scottish football. I played against Rangers in the Champions League with Grasshoppers. "I have also been to Scotland to visit places like Glasgow and Edinburgh on holiday. "It's a nice country and I have watched a lot of the football there. "Moving to Britain would be a sensible next step and he would also have the chance to play European football at a high level. "You look at Celtic's history and there have been a lot of Swedish players who have done well there. "Henrik Larsson, Johan Mjallby and Mikael Lustig have all done extremely well and maybe Benjamin can be the next one. "The style of Scottish football really suits Swedish footballers and I am sure he would do well at Celtic."
