Not just a pretty face: Priyanka on owning the screen—"I 'want to be proud of the work."
Speaking at the premiere to PTI, Priyanka emphasized that she chooses characters that are more than just decorative. 'I want to be proud of the work I take on,' she said, adding that she prefers roles with agency—women who drive the story rather than decorate it. Heads of State, an action comedy, gave her just that: a sharp and fearless MI6 agent named Noel Bisset.
A mind-over-muscle heroine—'She's 10 steps ahead.'
While the film features Hollywood heavyweights
Idris Elba
and
John Cena
as world leaders under threat, Priyanka's character is the anchor of the team.

'She's 10 steps ahead,' Priyanka said with a smile. 'She's always planning; she's not impulsive. I love that about her.' The film gave her the chance to mix intelligence, wit, and action—a combination she's proud to represent on screen.
Faith, failure & focus: Priyanka's "advice—"People don't matter."
Beyond the film, Priyanka shared a bit of hard-won wisdom from her journey. 'Practice makes perfect,' she said. 'You could fail multiple times trying to get there, but that doesn't mean you give up.' For her, it's about focusing on the outcome and tuning out the noise. 'People don't matter—they're not putting food on your plate. Focus on the ones who love you,' she added.
'Heads of State,' directed by Ilya Naishuller ('Nobody' fame), also stars Paddy Considine, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and others. Attending the premiere were Priyanka's husband, Nick Jonas, and cousin, the Bollywood's talented actress Parineeti Chopra.

From Monster to Mad Max: 5 Charlize Theron films to watch after The Old Guard 2

Charlize Theron's return in The Old Guard 2 reminded everyone just how commanding and versatile she can be on screen. Whether she's slicing through enemies with quiet rage or grappling with morality and grief, Theron brings a depth that few action stars manage to hit. But The Old Guard 2 is just one part of her powerful career. If you're looking for more of that blend of action, emotion, and powerhouse performances, here are five other Charlize Theron movies that you shouldn't miss. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) Theron's Imperator Furiosa is a force of nature. Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, this is more than just a wild chase movie. Theron brings grit, purpose, and pain to Furiosa, a rebel trying to free enslaved women from a brutal ruler. She barely speaks, but you feel everything through her eyes. Her chemistry with Tom Hardy's Max is electric, and she steals every scene. The role became so iconic that it even led to a prequel, Furiosa, though Theron didn't return. Still, this remains one of the greatest action movies ever made. Atomic Blonde (2017) If you enjoyed the combat and cool tone of The Old Guard 2, Atomic Blonde is a perfect follow-up. Theron plays MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton. During the Cold War, she is sent to retrieve a list of double agents. What follows is a mix of brutal action and thrills. Theron doesn't just act in this movie, she fights, bleeds, and dominates every frame. A ten-minute long single-take fight scene down a staircase? That's her. Stylish and sharp, this is Theron at her most badass. Monster (2003) This is a much darker film, but it's impossible to leave off any list of Theron's best work. She completely transforms into Aileen Wuornos, a real-life serial killer. It's not just makeup, she changes her voice, body language, everything. While Monster doesn't have the explosions and gunfights of The Old Guard, it shows Theron's incredible range. She makes you feel the pain of someone failed by the world, without asking you to excuse her choices. It won her the Academy Award, and rightly so. The Devil's Advocate (1997) In one of her earlier roles, Theron plays Mary Ann, the wife of a rising hotshot lawyer (Keanu Reeves). At first, life is good. Fancy firm, big city, luxury. But when Al Pacino, playing the devil himself, enters their lives, things go dark. Theron's performance is the emotional core of this supernatural legal thriller. As her husband gets more corrupted, she slowly unravels, haunted by terrifying visions. It's a disturbing role, but Theron handles it with nuance and heart, even alongside legends like Pacino. The Fate of the Furious (2017) Charlize Theron as a cyber-terrorist with blonde dreadlocks? Yes, and it somehow works. As Cipher, she adds a wicked new layer to the Fast & Furious franchise. She's cold, calculated, and ruthless, a villain who messes with family, which is sacred in the Fast world. Theron isn't doing emotional soul-searching here. She's here to be the smartest and most dangerous person in the room, and it's so fun to watch. If you want something a bit more popcorn and wild after The Old Guard 2, this is a great pick.
