Ryan Seacrest, 50, makes SHOCK claim about being single
Ryan Seacrest has admitted that he is feeling 'depressed' about being single nearly one year after he broke up with his longtime girlfriend, model Aubrey Paige.
The couple were together from 2021 until 2024, and has reportedly been single ever since.
The beloved host, 50, made the admission about his feeling towards his love life during a May 11 episode of American Idol, where he listened to a performance of an original song by Thunderstorm Artis.
Artis, who is part of this season's final five constants as they compete for the title of the next American Idol, had written the song for his wife.
'Well done,' Seacrest told the artist during the episode, according to Us Weekly.
'It is a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics. I just printed them out backstage. "Your green eyes are soft like the summer and your touch can put out the embers of my burning heart from that gray December,"' the host continued.
'I've never been more depressed to be single than right now in this moment.'
Seacrest's fellow Idol hosts Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were also big fans of the melody, as they praised Artis for his touching songwriting skills.
The Wheel of Fortune host's admission about being single comes after he and Paige split amicably last year, and even planned to stay i n each other's lives.
A source said at the time: 'After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways.
'They plan to stay in each other's lives as good friends and support one another's endeavors.'
The couple celebrated many good times together, including a ton of career milestones.
On Seacrest's last day on Live! With Kelly and Ryan in April 2023, Paige posted a sweet note about him moving on from the syndicated talk show on Instagram with three photos.
Two of the snaps were of the couple golfing and the other was of their heads close together with headphones on while onboard what appears to be a helicopter.
'Ryan, never have I ever met a more inspiring man,' she wrote. 'You make it look so easy, but the truth is there is just nobody quite like you. I am so beyond proud of you. Not just for your work ethic, but for your caring heart and the genuine love that you give to others.'
Paige continued: 'I am so excited for this next chapter of your life and our life. May it be filled with total presence, joy and relaxation in every single moment. The best is yet to come. Cheers. Love ya babe.'
Before Seacrest dated the model, he was in a relationship with Hilary Cruz for a little over one year.
He also famously dated Julianne Hough for three years, from 2010 to 2013.
Last year, the dancer revealed during an appearance on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast that when she began dating Seacrest, she didn't want people to feel like she was using his name for fame.
'The rug was swept up from underneath me, and I was just flying, and I was experiencing things that I didn't even know existed,' Hough said during the podcast. per Entertainment Weekly.
'But then I had this insecurity that I was like, "I don't ever want anybody to think that I'm with him for this reason." And so I then started playing smaller.'
Hough also explained that after they broke up, many people questioned her decision, but there was nothing that could stop her.
'I didn't think about what people thought. I was just wrestling on the inside… I definitely was in full self-preservation mode, so I was only concerned about me,' she said.

She grew up in the house along with her siblings. She watched the show's production unfold from her front porch, and even befriended cast and crew in the early days. It all started after Quintana's mother was approached in 2006 by a film scout with hopes to shoot the pilot episode at their home. Within months the filming had begun. At the time, she told KOB-TV that it felt like 'the magic of Hollywood.' The family had the opportunity to watch behind the scenes and meet the cast and crew. Quintana's mother also always had cookies for anyone working the set. But in the years since Breaking Bad ended, Quintana has seen the house transformed into something of a pop culture pilgrimage site. Since then, the homeowners said it was difficult to stop fans from attempting their own pizza tosses or sneaking into the iconic backyard pool. The house was only used for gear and prep. Any interior scenes were shot on a set at the studio lot. The stunt became such a problem that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan had to personally intervene on a 2022 episode of the Better Call Saul podcast. 'There is nothing original, or funny, or cool, about throwing a pizza on this lady's roof,' Gilligan said, exasperated. 'She is the sweetest lady in the world, and if you are getting on her nerves you are doing something seriously f***ing wrong.' Initially, Quintana was happy to take pictures with fans, but when there was a knock at the door in the early hours of the morning the family's attitude quickly changed. 'Around 4:30am the doorbell rang, my mom got up and opened the door and it was a package,' Quintana said. The package was addressed to Walter While, so they called the bomb squad. 'My brothers said "That's it, we're done, fence is going up. That's too close for comfort is the front door",' she added. She has since installed a perimeter fence to keep people back but has now taken to hosing down unwanted guests with her hose when her pleas go ignored. 'Back up, cowboy,' she told one visitor trying to inch closer for a better shot. When another gushed that he was a fan of the show, she snapped back: 'The whole world is a fan. Doesn't impress me.' The viral clip has split opinion online. Some viewers support Quintana, calling her 'a legend' defending her right to protect her property while others have mocked her behavior, suggesting she could instead have capitalized on the attention. 'She just sits there all day and tells people how stupid they are lol,' one commenter wrote. 'If she was smart, she'd start charging,' another quipped.
