The Arts, Culture and Creativity Month is a statewide effort, organized by California for the Arts, to showcase how the arts contribute to community connection, well-being and civic life.
Officials said the theme of 'Health, Healing, Hope' highlights how the 'arts support collective recovery and reinforce the message that 'Art Work is Real Work.''
The new online tool, Public Art GIS Map, launched by the Office of Arts and Culture, allows the community to explore Sacramento's public art collection as it continues to grow.

'We're excited to offer this new way for people to discover the breadth and vibrancy of Sacramento's public art,' said Art in Public Places Manager Donald Gensler. 'This tool makes it easier to experience the city's cultural assets.'
The interactive map shares information about artwork throughout the city and aims to make it easier to access the public art inventory, according to officials.
Additionally, the third annual California Arts and Culture Summit will bring together artists, advocates, cultural leaders, and policymakers from across the state to Sacramento on April 22. Officials said Arts Advocacy Day takes place the following day at Capitol Park.
The interactive map can be found on the GIS public art map website.
More information about the summit can be found on the events website.

Sutter Pediatric patients get a Disney surprise

( — Children and their families at Sutter Medical Center got a special surprise Tuesday, as they were treated to a tropical-themed party, a private screening of the hit new live-action 'Lilo and Stitch' movie and a visit from Stitch himself in full costume. 'Sometimes these events can really help them feel like they're not in the hospital,' explained Sara Anderson, pediatric manager of integrated therapies at Sutter Children's Center. 'We all remember going to Disneyland and we see a character, how special it is. But imagine being a child in the hospital and having a character come to you, and how that can just really lift your spirits. And we always focus on helping children be more comfortable while they're here. And this is just a natural way for them to have something to experience that really brings happiness.' The event was put together in partnership with Disney and Starlight Children's Foundation. Disney calls it a movie party in a box. Kids come away with souvenirs and memories to cherish. 'We wanted to bring the magic of 'Lilo and Stitch' to a children's hospital,' said Dvorah Waldman, director of corporate social responsibility for Disney.' It's incredible to see the joy on their faces and the happiness that it brings. And just a moment of happiness, a moment of joy in an otherwise really difficult experience for a lot of these kids and families.' 'It made me feel like I was in the movie just standing with him saying, 'Hi, my name is Grace and this is my friend Stitch,'' said nine-year-old patient, Grace, after meeting Stitch. 'Amazing, cool, awesome and ten out of ten.' 'It creates a very family environment for the hospital,' added Grace's mom, Jessica Stevenson. 'And with her having to stay here, it's a blessing that she gets to be part of this.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. SEVENTEEN Have a Good Time Being a ‘Bad Influence' in Futuristic Video For Pharrell-Produced Single

SEVENTEEN slink into a gloomy, post-apocalyptic world filled with old school technology in the video for their Pharrell Williams-produced single 'Bad Influence.' The 13-member K-pop boy band dropped the visual from their new HAPPY BURSTDAY album on Wednesday (June 11) and fans will surely be picking through the arresting clip directed by Beomjin for days looking for Easter eggs. The video for the English-language single opens with the singers locked in reflective glass pentagons as they sing about wanting to have a good time while seeming like they're not having one at all. After escaping from the enclosure, they get chased around a brutalist structure by robot dogs singing, 'And I had time to think about it/ But life would be so much better without it/ I don't want it at all/ But, hey, I wanna have a good time' over Pharrell's insistent, fuzzed-out beat. Dressed in Blade Runner-like leather jackets designed by Japanese fashion house sacai, they stand around while an unseen member plugs an analog cord into a headphone jack that reads 'Good' as an old school dot matrix printer spits out the lyrics and a few of the guys ghost ride their old school muscle cars. The sci-fi action takes a bizarre turn halfway through when they enter a red zone filled with white mannequin heads wearing blindfolds as one of the singer's puts a checkmark next to 'bad' on a checklist that includes 'lost,' 'sad,' 'raw,' 'happy,' 'innocent' and other emotions. There is also an M.C. Escher-like stairway to nowhere, a bath in a swamp of vintage audio tape, contemplative posing on a pile of tires and moody standing around in dimly lit rooms in the dream sequence-like series of shots that leave more questions than answers HAPPY BURSTDAY debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, landing the group their seventh top 10-charting album. Elizabeth Hurley poses nude for 60th birthday, celebrates 'love' with Billy Ray Cyrus

Elizabeth Hurley is marking her 60th birthday by professing her 'love' for new boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus and celebrating the milestone occasion in her birthday suit. 'Happy birthday to me! This year has already been a wild ride,' Hurley wrote alongside a nude photo of herself on Instagram. She went on to namecheck her longstanding business partnership with beauty brand Estée Lauder, the 20th anniversary of her eponymous swimwear company, and being 'in love' with Cyrus, whom she went public with back in April. 'Feeling very blessed and grateful for having the best friends & family in the world,' Hurley continued, adding that the snap was 'taken this afternoon… in my birthday suit.' In the photo, Hurley beamed happily as she was captured sitting in a sun-drenched grassy field with her legs crossed. Cyrus shared a photo of himself cuddling Hurley and called the actress 'the love of my life.' Meanwhile, Hurley's celeb pals and fans also took an opportunity to wish her a happy birthday. Her son, Damien, commented on her post 'Hahahah I LOVE YOU ♥️♥️♥️ happy birthday mama xxx.' Actress Patsy Kensit called Hurley 'the most beautiful kind human being' and said she was happy to see her friend finding joy again with her 'true love Billy, who is so fabulous.' America's Got Talent judge Heidi Klum called Hurley 'beautiful, smart and funny' as she shared her best wishes. 'I have never seen a more gorgeous 60-year-old,' one fan praised, while another added, 'Birthday suit suits you.' A third commenter wrote, 'Amazing woman. Amazing face. Amazing body. You spread positivity. Happy Birthday.' Hurley's birthday revelation comes after she debuted her new romance with Cyrus in April. After going Instagram official over Easter, the new couple shared a pair of loved-up images on social media, showing their infatuation with one another is real. Hurley, who met Cyrus while filming the 2022 holiday movie Christmas in Paradise, shared the snaps to her Instagram, captioning the head-over-heels photos: 'Tennessee weekend.' 'Liz spent a beautiful couple of weeks in Tennessee with Billy Ray,' a source told PEOPLE. 'She loved being surrounded by nature in a more laid-back environment. She had a great time with Billy Ray.' Cyrus and Hurley 'appreciate each other's love and friendship,' the insider added. 'They have a very special connection.' According to a source speaking to Us Weekly, the Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery star and the Achy Breaky Heart singer, 63, had been dating in secret for about four months before going public. 'Liz's friends have known about it for a while. It's not a new thing,' another insider close to Hurley told the outlet. 'She had sworn them to secrecy, and they didn't tell anyone outside her tight circle.' Another confidante said that after being 'friends for years … it turned romantic recently. Things are going well.' One source told Page Six that the relationship is the real deal. 'This is not a hoax,' a friend spilled to the outlet. 'Liz is not a hoaxy person; she's very sincere, very bright and I think she likes him.' After making their social media debut, the pair walked the red carpet at the Orizzonti/Rosso exhibition in Rome last month. The duo's glam appearance in Italy came as a source told PEOPLE that Hurley 'doesn't care' that fans don't understand her romance with the musician. 'Liz doesn't care that skeptics don't get it. She's focused on the special things that they have in common, like country music,' the insider said. 'She loves his Southern vibes. He's very calm and happy around her.' In an interview with Apple Music's The Ty Bentli Show in April, Cyrus opened up on how the two reconnected after filming Christmas in Paradise together. 'We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there,' Cyrus told Bentli, according to excerpts of the interview that were published by PEOPLE and Entertainment Tonight. 'We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn't laughing a lot.' After splitting from his wife Tish, Cyrus went on to marry singer Firerose in 2023. When that relationship ended, Cyrus said that he received a text from Hurley out of the blue. ''Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I'm in your corner. You've got a friend in your corner,'' the message read, as told by Cyrus to Bentli. mdaniell@ Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus cozy up in new IG pics Elizabeth Hurley and older sister sizzle in bikinis Elizabeth Hurley shuts down theory she took Prince Harry's virginity
