'Asteromata': Greece's entry with Klavdia for Eurovision 2025
Rana Atef
Klavdia, with the song "Asteromata", will represent Greece in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Basel, Switzerland, from May 13 to May 17, 2025.
With a cinematic aesthetic and elements from the Greek tradition, 'Asteromata' is visually presented through a music video that conveys the song's lyrics and the emotions it evokes. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDiq8J9h6vQ
Through painterly frames filmed in Kozani and at the iconic Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, the video highlights the Greek countryside and the sea, encapsulating the song's essence.
It is a song with a Greek essence, speaking about separation in all forms—leaving from what we love, from our childhood, from a place we leave behind, from an embrace we have lost. It is a song that unites people and cultures, drawing strength from the deep roots of Greek traditional music.
'Asteromata' was composed by Arcade and Klavdia, while the lyrics were written by Arcade.
Greece will perform 7th in the Second Semi-Final on May 15, 2025, aiming to qualify for the Grand Final, which is decided exclusively by the public vote.
The audience from the following 16 countries participating in the Second Semi-Final have the right to vote: Austria, Lithuania, Armenia, Montenegro, Greece, Ireland, Australia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Israel, Malta, Finland, Denmark, Luxembourg, Georgia, and Serbia. Furthemore
