As part of its ongoing commitment to enhance financial awareness across society, Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) organized a series of specialized workshops in collaboration with Sharjah Children, a subsidiary of Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators. This early exposure can positively shape their financial behaviors and help prepare future generations to make thoughtful financial decisions.'Hands-On Learning That Reflects Real-Life ScenariosThe workshops were designed to suit the age group, starting with storytelling-based educational sessions about basic saving principles. These were followed by hands-on activities simulating real-life scenarios, helping children internalize positive financial behaviors. The unit plays a pivotal role in implementing community engagement programs and advancing financial literacy across different population recent months, the unit has successfully delivered a diverse range of impactful programs aimed at enhancing financial literacy across various segments of the community. These included awareness lectures under the 'Zoud' campaign targeting government employees; financial freedom sessions held in collaboration with Badiri Academy, the educational arm of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment; and a summer awareness lecture for children in partnership with Al Bataeh Club. Additionally, the unit launched the interactive 'Hafiz Ala Feloosek' initiative during Sharjah's Dhai Festival, engaging the general public, and produced the financial education radio program 'Your Financial Advisor' in collaboration with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority. Suspicious ISIS sleeper cell movements reported in Syria
ALBAWABA - Reports of ISIS secret groups getting back to work have made the unstable security situation in al-Hol camp in northeast Syria even worse. Officials at the camp say that the wives of jailed ISIS fighters in the "migrant section" have started acting like the Hisba morals police again, attacking aid facilities and setting them on fire. Getting worse Inside the Camp: Jihan Hanan, the head of the camp, reported that three relief centers had been broken into, stolen, and burned down recently, which meant that aid groups had to stop their work. Stones were also thrown at relief workers. "These groups were targeted even though they were directly helping the women in that section," Hanan told Asharq al-Awsat, adding that locals are turning down help more and more. About 34,000 people live in the camp, which is Syria's biggest. Women have also been beaten by other inmates in the migrant area, and radical messages have been written on walls and wagons. Iran jails senior official over comment on Sinwar
ALBAWABA - A story from Israel's Channel 12 says that an Iranian judge has given Abdolreza Davari, a former top Interior Ministry official, six months in jail for posts on social media that were critical of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. He used to work as an adviser to the interior minister and as deputy head of the official state news agency. The case started with a post Davari made on X (now Twitter) in September 2024. He wrote that Sinwar had learned Hebrew while being locked up in Israel and was acting as a go-between for Palestinian inmates and Israeli officials. Davari also said that the attack raised "serious question marks," saying that it looked like it was started without consulting with the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah in Lebanon, or Iran. The post was taken down later. In addition to giving Davari a six-month jail term, the court also fined him money, took away his phone, and told him he couldn't use any social media sites. Davari is also being investigated in a different case because of things he said about a past head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization. This makes his legal problems even worse. The decision shows that the Iranian government is becoming more strict about public criticism and opposition, especially when it comes to important people in the region like Sinwar, whose death earlier this year is still being felt all over the Middle East.
