Browns' Shedeur Sanders claimed by CFL team in potentially shocking twist to Cleveland QB competition
The rookie from Colorado could head to Canada.
The Canadian Football League recently released its full negotiation list. Each team in the CFL can gain rights to a player from outside the league, and if that player decides to come play up north, that given team gets the first chance to negotiate a contract with them.

The Toronto Argonauts have Sanders' negotiation rights.

It seems highly unlikely Sanders would leave the NFL for the CFL.
But his NFL Draft slide to the fifth round made things a little weird. Clearly, most NFL teams weren't as enthused about Sanders as some would've expected.
He could still make a huge impression in Cleveland in July and August, and other teams could want him even if the Browns don't.
It'll be a tricky QB competition with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel along with veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.

If Sanders ever decides he needs a change of scenery, the Argonauts could come calling.

The NBA insiders reported that if Phoenix buys out the contract of the three-time All-Star, they could add him to the team. 'The Heat, meanwhile, have serious interest in signing Lillard as well as exploring the prospect of adding a bought-out Beal. Yet it's fair to wonder why Lillard would be looking to sign quickly with any team unless he's searching for organizational support as he rehabs from his own Achilles tear," the report read. (Jon Blacker/The Canadian Press via AP) TORONTO (AP) — Myles Straw scored the winning run on a throwing error by pitcher Sam Bachman in the 10th inning, and the Toronto Blue Jays extended their winning streak to six games by beating the Los Angeles Angels 4-3 on Friday night. Straw, the automatic runner, scored from second when Bachman fielded Ernie Clement's sacrifice bunt and overthrew first base. Advertisement Bachman (1-2) entered in the 10th and walked leadoff hitter Nathan Lukes, putting runners on first and second with nobody out for Clement. Chad Green (3-2) worked a scoreless inning for the win. Jo Adell tied it for the Angels with a three-run homer in the seventh. Andrés Giménez drove in the first run with a single for Toronto in the sixth. Giménez advanced to third on George Springer's single before leaving with an ankle injury. Giménez tweaked his left ankle covering second base on a steal Wednesday and did not play Thursday. He was scheduled for an MRI. She went from being a temporary player for the Fever—thanks to the WNBA's emergency hardship exception and injuries—to eventually being given a full-time roster spot. Without Clark available, she has picked up the slack in a big way and has also caught the attention of those around the WNBA.
