Over 30,000 seats still up for grabs in Telangana EAPCET
A total of 30,941 seats will be available in the second phase of the counselling.
When it comes to computer science, IT, and related courses, a total of 19,493 seats will be available. In the first phase, as many as 44,798 students reported for counselling after being allotted a seat. Similarly, 7,229 seats will be available in electronic and electrical engineering courses, 3,730 in civil, mechanical, and allied courses, and 489 in other engineering courses.
'Students who were not allotted a seat in the first phase need not worry as over 30,000 seats will be up for grabs in the second phase,' said Praveen Kumar L, a faculty member working at a private engineering college in the city. He added that students should carefully exercise options to maximise their chances of being allotted a seat.

This year, a total of 1,16,877 seats are available at engineering colleges across the state.
Of these, 90,921 are available under the convenor quota through EAPCET counselling. The remaining will be available through management and NRI quotas. In the first phase of EAPCET counselling, a total of 77,561 students were allotted seats. However, only 59,980 students reported for counsellling, and the remaining seats were made available in the second phase of counselling.
'Another 10,000 to 15,000 seats will be filled through counselling. Many who were allotted seats in tier-3 or small colleges might not even be willing to join as there is not much demand for these colleges,' said KVK Rao, general secretary, All India Federation of Self-Financing Technical Institutions. He said that more computer science engineering seats have been added in the second phase, as there is demand only for these courses in the state.

Bank of Baroda launches global UPI features on bob इ Pay app
Bank of Baroda has upgraded its UPI app, bob इ Pay, introducing international services to enable easy cross-border digital payments for Indian and NRI customers. The new features include UPI Global Acceptance, Foreign Inward Remittances, and UPI services tailored for NRIs.'UPI has revolutionised digital payments in India, and we are pleased to now extend its benefits to international use through bob इ Pay International. These new features provide greater flexibility and convenience to our resident & NRI customers and reflects our commitment to develop user-centric and innovative digital banking solutions,' Sanjay Mudaliar, the bank's Executive Director, said. Under UPI Global Acceptance, customers can use the bob इ Pay app to pay international merchants via QR code from their Indian bank accounts. This service is available in eight countries: Mauritius, Singapore, UAE, USA, France, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan. Transaction details show amounts in both local and Indian currency, along with exchange rates and fees. The Foreign Inward Remittance feature allows real-time 24x7 money transfers from Singapore residents to Bank of Baroda customers in India. Singapore senders can transfer funds by entering the recipient's UPI ID, sending money in Singapore Dollars which converts to Indian Rupees credited directly to the recipient's account. NRI customers can link their NRE or NRO accounts to bob इ Pay using a domestic mobile number during visits to India. They can then send and receive UPI payments both at merchant outlets and via peer-to-peer transfers. All international UPI transactions on the app have a daily and per transaction limit of Rs. 1,00,000, consistent with domestic UPI limits. bob इ Pay, a Bank of Baroda indigenous UPI app, has quickly gained 1.3 million registered users. The app is available on Play Store and App Store. Customers can activate the new services via the app's settings.

UPI Global Acceptance Bank of Baroda customers travelling abroad can now conveniently use their bob इ Pay app to make QR Code-based payments to international merchants directly from their Indian bank account. This service is available in 8 countries that accept UPI – Mauritius, Singapore, UAE, USA, France, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan. Bank of Baroda customers in India can now receive 24×7 real-time remittances from Singapore residents through bob इ Pay app for the purpose of family maintenance. Singapore residents can send money to a bob इ Pay user in India simply by entering the recipient's registered UPI ID/VPA. The sender will enter the amount in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and the beneficiary will receive the funds in Indian Rupees (INR) directly into their UPI-linked bank account. Using the bob इ Pay app, Bank of Baroda's NRI customers can now send and receive money through UPI. During visits to India, NRI customers can link their NRE/NRO accounts to the bob इ Pay app using a domestic mobile number and make seamless UPI payments at merchant outlets as well as peer-to-peer fund transfers. For all the above international UPI services, the per day and per transaction limit is Rs. 1,00,000/- (same as the Domestic UPI transaction limit). bob इ Pay app, an indigenous UPI application of Bank of Baroda, is available for both customers and non-customers.
