Scheffler will again start as favorite, with two 2025 majors in his back pocket and a consistent showing throughout the PGA Tour season meaning the American is way ahead in the FedEx Cup standings. Second in the rankings is McIlroy and golf's two big beasts will tee it up in the same group on Thursday's Round 1 for the first time since the final round of the British Open Championship.
Justin Rose came from behind to win the first of the three 2025 FedEx Cup Playoff events last week in the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, while fellow Brit Tommy Fleetwood was leading going into the final round to continue his solid recent form.
Defending BMW Championship champion Keegan Bradley is again in the field, though the U.S. Ryder Cup captain may have half an eye on some of his potential picks before Bethpage in a month's time. Patrick Cantlay, Brian Harman, Cameron Young and Sam Burns will all hope to impress, but Jordan Spieth didn't make the top 50 and will be absent in Maryland.
The top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings after four rounds will make it through to the Tour Championship at East Lake, Atlanta, next week so there's plenty to play for(e).
With the action starting at Cave Valley, Maryland, below is a complete guide to where to watch 2025 BMW Championship live streams, together with U.S. broadcast schedules, international TV channels and selected Round 1 tee times.

Like most PGA tournaments, the BMW Championship is played over four rounds of stroke play. Unlike some, however, there is no cut at the halfway stage. That means all players who start the tournament will play all 72 holes, with the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings qualifying for next week's Tour Championship.
The 2025 BMW Championship field will battle it out for a share of a $20 million purse. The overall winner on Sunday will take home a top prize of $3.6 million.

Akshay Bhatia gets back into top 30 in stunning fashion — with hole-out eagle and ace
Askhay Bhatia found his way back on the right side of the Tour Championship cutline — if only temporarily — during Saturday's third round of the BMW Championship, and he did so in stunning fashion. Bhatia started the week at 29th in the FedEx Cup playoff standings, meaning he was eligible for the season finale at East Lake, but after an opening round of 75, it appeared he might be losing his grasp on a spot. He fought back with a solid 69 on Friday, but then kick-started things on Saturday with a hole-out eagle on the par-4 7th. After a birdie on No. 8 and then bogeys on Nos. 12 and 15, Bhatia rolled in a birdie on the 16th hole, and then made some real magic on the par-3 17th. This shot on the 227-yard hole marked Bhatia's first hole-in-one in PGA competition, and it came at an important time, pushing the California native into the top 30. The 23-year-old Bhatia hit a rough patch this season and hadn't recorded a top-10 finish since March when he came up a shot short of a playoff at the Players Championship. But an opening-round 62 at the FedEx St. Jude led to a T-6 last week in the first playoff event and the two-time PGA Tour winner played himself into the final group on Sunday at the 3M Open with a third-round 63 even though he faltered on the final day, shooting 75 to tumble to T-25.
