Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, died in a Florida hospital on Thursday morning, days after his ex-wife shared a throwback picture of him.
Early reports indicated he died of cardiac arrest, police confirmed to The U.S. Sun.
Before his death, the iconic wrestler publicly suffered through surgeries and hospitalizations for chronic neck and back pain caused by years of heavy weight-training and brawling in the ring.
Just last month, he was hospitalized for lingering neck and back pain, sparking rumors on social media that Hogan was on his "death bed."
Hogan's representatives shot down the speculation and said he was hospitalized due to "more of the same ailments" that he had for years, TMZ reported at the time.
He reportedly underwent a surgery described as a "little fusion procedure."
Just two days before his death, Hogan's manager Jimmy Hart assured fans that Hogan was fine.
"Hulk is doing great, doing phenomenal!" Hart wrote on X.
"Last night at karaoke with Nick was absolutely fantastic, baby!!!"
LOST FEELING IN LEGS
In January 2023, friend and fellow wrestler Kurt Angle revealed Hogan lost all feeling in the lower half of his body after a recent back surgery.
Speaking on his self-titled program, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle said, "He had the nerves cut from his lower body. He can't feel his lower body. So [he] uses his cane to walk around."
He added, "I thought he was using the cane because he had pain in his back.
"He doesn't have any pain. He has nothing at all. He can't feel anything."
Hogan's representative denied Angler's claim at the time and said that he wasn't paralyzed.
'Everything is OK with him. Hulk is someone with a lot of humour," the spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight.
In February 2023, Hogan was pictured walking with a cane.

The police are expected to inform the Health and Safety Executive which could launch a probe into the death. Saturday's gig was the fourth of seven London shows on Oasis' blockbuster reunion tour. The band crashed ticket sites when they announced they were making a comeback last year - as more than 14 million fans tried to secure a seat at the highly-anticipated gigs. Last month Liam and Noel reunited on stage in Cardiff for the first time since a backstage bust-up broke up the band 16 years ago. The Britpop icons returned to their hometown of Manchester for five dates in July. They performed a 23-song setlist of classic hits, including Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Live Forever to a roaring crowd of 80,000 people at Heaton Park. They will head to America later this month before returning to London for two more gigs in September.

Kelly, a cash-strapped mum-of-one and her bestie Lewie, took part in the Channel 5 experiment and found themselves in Northern Italy, with go-getting grandmas Jackie and Martine, both former pro dancers. But in tonight's episode, the pair were whisked off to live the high life at a majestic castle with Jackie and Martine, both of whom have travelled to the world's most exclusive destinations. Unlike Kelly and Lewie, not only are Jackie and Martine used to splashing the cash on fancy food and high adrenaline activities, but Jackie once spent a night in a £12,000-a-night hotel in Sweden. Once they arrived at the Veneto region of Northern Italy, the four best pals stayed in a former castle, the grand Hotel CastelBrando - a lavish hotel fit for a king, nestled in the Prosecco hills. The money you spend on certain things here is a three/four day holiday for us Kelly And it didn't take long before it all appeared very overwhelming for Kelly, as moments after entertaining the £250 a night suite, she admitted: 'It's just something else…quite emotional, there might be some tears shed.' Clearly blown away by the jaw-dropping room, she gasped: 'I don't think I have any words.' To this, the single mother said: 'I'll be honest, it's not what I would expect for the money that's been spent.' I work as hard as I can. Sometimes I'll even work a night shift, just because the night shifts are a bit more money Kelly Whilst Lewie chimed in: 'That's five months worth of wages for me for this summer. An obscene amount for a holiday. 'Astonishing. We would rather stick to our budget holidays. Luxury isn't for me.' Despite her shock at the cost, Kelly beamed: 'It turned out to be an amazing week with beautiful places, beautiful people, friends who are friends for life now.
