Did you soak up the sun Sunday? Have a chance to take in a few rays Monday morning? Hopefully, the answer is yes, because we're about to enter an extended period of rain, fog, a few storms and cloudiness that could last through at least the first half of the weekend.
By Monday night, clouds will start rolling in from the south as a warm front associated with a low-pressure system approaches from the Gulf Coast. We'll see a few late-night showers, especially across Delmarva, the Delaware Valley and South Jersey.
Overnight into Tuesday, lows will feel muggy, sitting in the 50s to low 60s, with patchy fog likely in time for the early part of the morning commute.

Rain returns Tuesday into Wednesday
CBS Philadelphia
Get ready for widespread showers, with the heaviest rain and even a few isolated thunderstorms possible Tuesday night, particularly across South Jersey. If you're heading to the Phillies game Tuesday night against the St. Louis Cardinals, keep an eye on the forecast. There could be delays or even a postponement in the cards.
Wednesday keeps the rainy pattern going, and while we can't rule out a few rumbles of thunder, things should start to quiet down a bit by Wednesday night. Rainfall totals from late Monday through Wednesday could reach:
1 to 1.5 inches across most of the region
1.5 to over 2 inches for Delaware and parts of South Jersey
The flood risk is low, but southeastern Pennsylvania and Delmarva are under a Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 4) for excessive rainfall for Tuesday into the night.

Thursday brings a brief break before storm chances ramp up
Thursday offers a bit of a break in the action. While some isolated showers may linger early, expect mainly dry conditions for much of the day. Highs will be pleasant in the 70s, with lows staying mild in the 60s.
But don't put the umbrella away just yet — more rain and thunderstorms return late Friday into the weekend.
A series of cold fronts moving through Friday and Saturday will bring increased chances for showers and storms, some of which could be stronger due to a bit more instability. Temperatures will be warmer as well.
Right now, there's no NEXT Weather Alert, but we're watching it closely, especially as the Friday and Saturday systems evolve.
Weekend outlook: Keep the rain gear handy
CBS Philadelphia
Saturday looks like Friday with another front sweeping through, keeping the threat of storms in play. By Sunday, the pattern begins to quiet down slightly, but there's still a chance for a few lingering showers to close out the weekend.
Enjoy Monday's sunshine, it's the calm before several rounds of wet weather this week. Stay tuned as we track those late-week fronts for any signs of severe weather.

Chance of showers, storms return to North Texas as temperatures remain in the mid to high 90s
Another dry, mostly sunny, and hot day is on tap. Wednesday morning will start cloudy, but the clouds will dissipate throughout the day. In DFW, winds will gust around 25 mph, and highs will peak around 93 degrees at 5 pm. In addition, dew point temperatures are in the 70s, which will make it feel more like the triple digits outside. During the day, the likelihood of showers and storms is low. However, a cold front will move into North Texas Wednesday night, bringing the risk of severe weather and brief downpours. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a level 2 out of 5 risk for the metroplex and to the north. This means that isolated to scattered severe storms with damaging winds and hail will be possible overnight. On Juneteenth, there is a potential of a few spotty showers and storms during the day due to the diurnal heat cycle; however, most of us will stay dry. Highs on Juneteenth will reach the mid-90s with winds from the south around 10 to 15 mph. The longest day of the year and the official start of the Summer Solstice will be hot and sunny. The trend will continue through the weekend and into next week. Stay tuned for the latest forecast updates!

Pittsburgh's flooding risk remains in place through Thursday as rain chances continue
Since 2000, we've only had one stretch of 3 days with 91° weather or hotter in June, which happened last year. We have a chance to do it again next week. WEATHER LINKS: Current Conditions | School Closings & Delays | Submit Your Weather Photos Rain chances stick around for another day today, bringing the risk of flooding to our area once again. The good news is that the end is near, with the final wet day of this stretch expected to occur on Thursday. We may go more than a week without rain as a powerful and hot ridge moves in next week. Rain totals expected through Thursday night KDKA Weather Center To be honest with you, today's rain chance is lower than yesterday's rain chance. Yesterday, we were going into the day with flood watches in place for the afternoon and evening. Today, we are starting the day with flood watches expiring at 7 this morning. The best chance for rain looks to be this morning. While a line of storms is expected to move our way through the day, it's expected to fall apart just before it arrives in the state. With rain chances down and a little more sunshine today, expect high temperatures to hit the mid to low 80s. Conditions in Pittsburgh on June 18, 2025 KDKA Weather Center I have Pittsburgh hitting 83 for today's high with noon temperatures in the upper 70s. Winds should be out of the south-southwest at around 5mph. Rain, severe weather, and the risk of flooding will all be back tomorrow. We will see a one-two punch tomorrow when it comes to storms as we get a quick shortwave that will roll through just ahead of a cold front. This should enhance downpours along with severe weather chances. Storm chances arrive after 3 in the afternoon, sticking around through 8 p.m. Thursday highs will just be in the upper 70s due to the increased rain chance both in the morning and afternoon. Morning lows will be up around 70 again. The pick of the week when it comes to comfortable weather will be Friday with highs in the low 80s and low humidity. Saturday won't be as comfy, but it will still feel fantastic. Highs on Saturday will hit the upper 80s. Friday highs should be in the low 80s. Humidity levels rise on Sunday, with highs hitting the low 90s. We could see a stretch of five days in a row with highs in the low 90s and a tropical airmass in place with dew points up near 70 degrees. Careful what you wish for, as this heat is going to bring serious risks of heat exhaustion. 7-day forecast: June 18, 2025 KDKA Weather Center Stay up to date with the KDKA Mobile App – which you can download here!
