Nebraska fans react to Jordy Bahl's no-hitter
Nebraska softball fans are sharing their reactions online after pitcher Jordy Bahl threw her first no-hitter as a Cornhusker. The no-no was also the 41st no-hitter in Nebraska softball history.
Bahl threw her fourth career no-hitter as the Huskers defeated the Northern Colorado Bears by a score of 10-0 in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday in New Mexico. The last program no-no came from Sarah Harness in a 5-0 victory over New Mexico State on Feb. 24, 2023.
The pitcher allowed no hits, stuck out five batters, walked two, and hit two batters in the victory. She also did not allow a ball to leave the infield.
Through four games this weekend, Bahl is 2-0 in the circle with 10.0 innings thrown. At the plate, she is 6-for-12 with four home runs, two doubles, and eight RBIs.
Bahl improved to 3-1 on the season. Nebraska will finish the Troy Cox Classic on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 10:00 a.m. CT with a rematch against Montana.

Nebraska legend Aaron Taylor named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025
Nebraska legend Aaron Taylor named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 An all-time great Nebraska football player has been named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Aaron Taylor played for the Cornhuskers from 1993 to 97. Taylor holds the distinction of being the only football player in Nebraska history to earn All-America honors at two positions (left guard, center). He was a two-time first-team All-American and a three-time national champion. Taylor's No. 67 jersey was retired in 1998, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018. Joining Taylor in the 2025 class are Kevin Davis (men's gymnastics, 1985-88); Diandra Hyman (bowling, 1999-2002); Lisa Reitsma (volleyball, 1994-97); and Stephanie Thater (volleyball, 1989-92). Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen had high praise for the five new Hall of Famers. 'We talk regularly in Husker Athletics about setting a standard by which everyone else will aspire to achieve. These Hall of Famers did that and more, and now inspire our current student-athletes to achieve greatness. We look forward to welcoming our 2025 Hall of Fame Class back to campus for our induction ceremony this fall, where we will celebrate their accomplishments and recognize their impact on the University of Nebraska.' The 2025 Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Friday, Oct. 31, before being recognized during the Nebraska-USC football game on Saturday, Nov. 1.
