A missing persons appeal has been launched to find a 36-year-old missing from Tallaght.
Kieran McDonagh was last seen in the area at around 5pm on Sunday, June 15. He may be travelling in a silver Ford Transit Bus bearing 04 LK registration plates.
Kieran is described as being approximately 5'11' tall, with a slim build, short grey hair and blue eyes. Gardai have said that they, along with Kieran's family, are very concerned for his welfare and are eager for his safe return.
A garda spokesman said: "Both Gardaí and Kieran's family are concerned for his welfare and are eager to ensure his safe return. Anyone with information on Kieran's whereabouts is urged to contact Tallaght Garda Station on (01) 666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. Your assistance could make a vital difference."

A thug who blew his own hand off with a pipe bomb has posted a series of bizarre videos from his hospital bed - and called himself 'captain hook.'The 35 year old criminal, who has more than 80 convictions to his name, lost his hand after a suspected pipe bomb exploded at his Dublin home in the early hours of last Wednesday morning. Gruesome photos subsequently emerged of the man's horrific injury - showing that he had completely lost his hand in the horrific the career criminal, who recently served a five year prison sentence for burglary, has posted a series of videos from his bed in Beaumont Prison - as he showed off his handless arm and bizarrely issued threats at Taoiseach Michael Martin and others.'When this accident happened to me…a firework blew me hand off and that's exactly what happened,' the criminal said in a video publicly posted on social media app 'Tiktok.' "Right people, you's probably know what happened or whatever you's are seeing things in the papers and bullsh*it. I'm out of it on the morphine, right I have no hand but f*ck it, you've to go on with it yeah,' he says in another video. Going on to give out about gardai, the man, who are are not identifying says he's looking for 'justice' for the 'accident' he says he suffered. 'I haven't been questioned by any police since I came here in the hospital. I'm still here now. I'm sitting here in the hospital, Beaumont. I couldn't give two bollicks, I'm not letting them away with it and I want justice.'And in a threatening message to the Taoiseach, Tanaiste, Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald and the gardai he said: 'You want to get your guards in line because if you don't get them in line because when I get out of here I'm going to get justice one way or another. Because the law is on my side Michael. You, Simon Harris, Mary Lou, the whole lot of yous - you deserve what's coming to you and I promise you yous are gonna get it by the Irish people,' he says. "Treason should be what publishable by death. You speak for no one Michael and I'm coming for you and I'm coming for justice. I'm going for justice my own way.'In subsequent videos the dopey crim says the government needs to 'wake up' and addresses his loss of limb saying:'Wake the f*ck up because the people woke the f*ck up and I'm coming for you. I'm coming for you.'In a statement, Gardaí confirmed they had 'attended the scene following report of an incident of criminal damage at a residential location in Coolock that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday.'The statement continued: 'A man, aged in his 30s, subsequently received treatment for serious injuries at Beaumont Hospital Dublin.'

Heartbreak as young dad dies after Dublin e-scooter crash on first Father's Day
A young man who died from injuries he suffered in a serious road traffic incident involving an e-scooter only recently became a dad as pals pay heartbreaking tributes to him. Named locally as Jack Goss, the 21-year-old from Balbutcher in Ballymun, Dublin 9, was the father of a 4-month-old baby girl. Mr Goss had also only recently started an apprenticeship with Dublin City Council. He was found on the Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin 11 on Sunday, June 15 at around 5pm following the collision. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. On Sunday his condition was described as 'critical.' Gardai have since confirmed the 21-year-old passed away on Monday due to his injuries. Paying tribute to Mr Goss on social media, a pal wrote: 'Took way too early bro on Father's Day as well. Life ain't fair. I hope your family and child and girlfriend is ok. Bro you will be forever missed Jack. Love you always bro.' Another pal wrote: 'You were a good one bro. Not a man around like you. Always helped others. Had a great life ahead of you, a great job and a beautiful daughter. I can't believe it bro. I will love and miss you brother,' while another wrote: 'Heartbreaking. RIP Jack. Thoughts are with all the family and friends,' and another wrote: 'Very sad. RIP pure gentleman.' In a statement on Monday, Gardai continued to appeal for witnesses to the serious road traffic collision as investigations are ongoing. 'Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident involving an e-scooter shortly after 5pm on Sunday, June 15," a statement from An Garda Siochana said. 'The male, aged in his 20s, travelling on the e-scooter who was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown to be treated for serious injuries has since passed away. 'Investigating Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward. 'Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Cappagh Road area between Heathfield and Cappagh Hospital between 4.45pm and 5.05pm on Sunday and may have camera footage are asked to make it available,' the statement said. 'Anyone with information regarding this incident are asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01-6667000, the Garda Confidential Lie at 1800 666 111 or any garda station.' Meanwhile, five people were taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Tuam, Co Galway in the early hours of Monday morning, June 16. Gardaí and emergency services attended the incident, involving two cars, which occurred at approximately 1.40am. One of the drivers, a male aged in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital Galway to be treated for serious injuries. The other driver, an adult male in his late teens, along with three adult female passengers, all aged in their late teens, were brought to University Hospital Galway to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. The road remains closed and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out an examination of the scene today. Local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1.15am and 1.50am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí. Motorcyclist, 40s, dies at scene of horror crash with car in Monaghan as investigators make urgent appeal for witnesses
A MAN has died after a horror crash between a car and motorcycle in Monaghan this afternoon. The fatal crash happened on the R190 at Upon arrival they found a motorcyclist, aged in his 40s, in critical condition. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services the biker was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was then removed from the scene to the mortuary at Cavan General Hospital. The R190 between Ballybay and Cootehill has been closed to allow for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local traffic diversions are in place. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
