JEE- Advanced results: Hans Daruka is Odisha state topper

BHUBANESWAR: Rajit Gupta from Kota has topped the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-advanced) examination-2025, results of which were declared by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur on Monday.
A resident of Kota in Rajasthan, Gupta secured the top position securing 332 out of 360 marks in the Common Rank List (CRL).
IIT-Kanpur officials said Devdutta Majhi with CRL 16 emerged as the top-ranked female candidate in the prestigious exam. Hailing from West Bengal, Majhi has also become the topper of IIT-Kharagpur zone.
Hans Daruka from KiiT International School emerged as the Odisha topper in the JEE (Advanced) 2025. Daruka secured an all-India rank of 39 in the CRL.
Apart from Daruka, 13 more students from KiiT International School qualified in the prestigious exam conducted for admission into India's premier IITs.
KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta congratulated Daruka and all other successful students for their achievement. Apart from KiiT, students from many other schools in the state also successfully cracked the exam.

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) announced its Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET-2025) results on Friday and Shishir H. Shetty from Moodbidri, Dakshina Kannada district, secured the first rank. The second and third ranks were bagged by Maulik Jain from Punjab and Varun J. Kumar from Bengaluru, respectively. Out of the top 10, only four students are from Karnataka. Other rank holders are Vennapusa Harshavardhan Reddy from Andhra Pradesh (fourth), Nitesh Anand from Bihar (fifth), N.B. Ritesh Varshan from Uttar Pradesh (sixth), Manojna Shreevijay Kalburgi from Bengaluru (seventh), G. Saikiran from Bengaluru (eighth), Anurag Chaudhary from Uttar Pradesh (ninth), and Bhupathi Nithin Agnihotri from Andhra Pradesh (tenth). Interestingly, all the rank holders in the top 10 are boys this time. Amongst the top 100 ranks, students from Karnataka bagged 55 ranks. Rank cards of the eligible candidates have been generated, and can be seen via their respective applicant login on the COMEDK website ( As per details shared by the COMEDK authorities, there are 11,412 candidates between 90 and 100 percentile. Out of them, 3,330 candidates are from Karnataka. Similarly, 11,446 candidates are between 80 and 90 percentile, among which, 3,050 candidates are from Karnataka. As against the 1,31,937 candidates that registered, around 1,13,111 (37,715 Karnataka and 75,396 non-Karnataka) candidates appeared for the test which was held on May 10 and 25, 2025. As many as 69 candidates challenged the answer keys. The authorities clarified that counselling would be conducted online, and the candidates have to upload the scanned copies of the documents through their login. These uploaded documents will be verified by the panel of expert verification officers.

During a felicitation ceremony held at the Chief Minister's camp office in Undavalli, the Chief Minister also congratulated other outstanding performers from the institution, Bhanu Charan Reddy (AIR 51), Thorati Bharadwaj (AIR 82), and Jaswanth Venkata Raghuveer (AIR 98), along with their proud parents.
