Exclusive- Actor Ashish Dixit and wife Shweta Kanoje remarry in Trimbakeshwar after 6 years, says 'it's like falling in love all over again'
Ashish Dixit
, currently winning hearts in the TV show Pati Brahmachari, just had a filmy moment in real life! Six years after their big fat Indian wedding, Ashish and his wife Shweta Kanoje got remarried, this time in an intimate spiritual ceremony at the holy Trimbakeshwar temple, fulfilling a long-standing promise.
Ashish said, "I had promised Shweta that I would fill her maang with sindoor at Trimbakeshwar,' said Ashish, overwhelmed with emotion. 'This wasn't just a wedding — it felt like a rebirth of our love. I want our bond to remain eternal and never fade."
Despite his hectic shooting schedule, Ashish made time for this deeply personal moment, proving that when love is true, no commitment is too big and no promise too old.
The couple chose the exact same time as their original wedding — 1:30 PM, on an auspicious Tuesday — and followed traditional Maharashtrian rituals for the ceremony.
They even got decked up like a proper dulha and dulhan, complete with the traditional Mundavalya (the sacred forehead thread) tied across their heads, recreating their wedding look down to the tiniest detail. Afterwards, they sought blessings from Lord Shiva, finally fulfilling the vow they had made to each other years ago.
'It honestly feels like we just got married,' Ashish added with a smile. 'We're giggling, stealing glances, getting shy — it's like falling in love all over again.'

Earlier, Ashish said, 'Indian television has long relied on physicality to sell romance,' says Dixit. 'But this show dares to do something different. It explores whether two people can fall in love without ever touching—that's what drew me in.'

An Indian man's honest and earnest response as to why he married his American wife has impressed the internet. In the now-viral video, the wife, Candace Karne, can be seen asking her husband, Aniket, what attributes drew him to her, eventually leading to the marriage. "We don't have these type of conversations often where we reminisce about how or why we chose each other. We have to find more conversation games for couples so we can talk more about us," the video was captioned as saying. "Why did my husband marry me? Aniket, why did you marry me?" Candace can be heard asking in the clip posted on their joint Instagram account. To which the husband replied: "I married you because when I first met you or when I first saw you, I was really impressed with everything you said you were doing. I especially liked the fact that you are a teacher. Everything you said that night made me feel welcome." Aniket added that as an international student, Candace's hospitality struck a chord with him and that she was always nice to him. "I felt like the time spent with you would be nice and fun, and you like to work on things. I also like your family." While Aniket was into his heartfelt monologue, Candace playfully chimed in and asked: "Yeah, who, dad?" "Yes, I was really happy when I talked to them and got to know them. I got a really friendly vibe and thought this is a really good family, and I want to be with a good family. So maybe that is why," he replied.
