Car raided by thieves while parked at cemetery in North Wales village
While the owner was away from the car, a window was smashed and cash and other items were stolen. Police have appealed for information.
This includes any information people have on a white Audi A4 seen in the area at the time.
North Wales Police said: "We're asking for the public's help following an incident of criminal damage and theft from a vehicle on Wednesday, 2nd July, at Hawarden Cemetery, Ash Lane at around 18:36pm.
"A vehicle was broken into after the window was smashed, and cash and other items were stolen.
"We are particularly interested in any witnesses who saw or heard suspicious activity, anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area and information about a white Audi A4 seen nearby around the time.
"If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact us quoting reference number 25000544104.

NSPCC comment on Ethan Ives-Griffiths murder trial verdict
Michael Ives, 47 and Kerry Ives, 46, both of Kingsley Road, Garden City, Deeside, have today (July 15) been convicted of murdering two-year-old Ethan Ives-Griffiths. Ethan's mother, Shannon Ives, 28, of Nant Garmon, Mold was convicted of causing or allowing his death. All three were all found guilty of cruelty to a child. A trial has taken place over six weeks at Mold Crown Court following the toddler's death in August 2021. Following the guilty verdict returned by the jury, North Wales Police and Ethan's father spoke outside of court. Now, the children's charity has said "no stone must be left unturned" in establishing whether more could've been done to save Ethan. Carl Harris, Assistant Director at NSPCC Cymru, said: 'As grandparents to Ethan, Michael and Kerry Ives should have been there to love and protect him. "Instead, they subjected the little boy to an appalling campaign of neglect and abuse leading up to the brutal final attack which killed him. Chester man found at Connah's Quay home in breach of CBO
Lee Kutryk, of Parkgate Road in Chester, was produced in custody at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Monday. The 30-year-old admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order (CBO) by attending High Street in Connah's Quay on Saturday (July 12). Prosecutor James Ashton told the court that the CBO was imposed in September 2019 and subsequently amended and extended last year to run until September 2027. It imposes a number of conditions upon the defendant, chiefly for the purposes of Monday's court hearing prohibiting Kutryk form entering Connah's Quay. On the day of the offence, police received a report that Kutryk had been seen in the area. Officers attended an address following information received and were told to "f*** off" by the occupant. But after gaining entry to the property, a search was carried out and ultimately, Kutryk was found under a pile of washing in the kitchen. He was arrested and taken to custody in Llay. Mr Ashton told the court Kutryk had breached the CBO seven times previously. Gary Harvey, defending, told the court his client's latest offending came shortly after he was released from custody on his last sentence. Following release, Mr Harvey said, he was placed in his temporary accommodation in Chester but didn't have his medication. "Staff [at the accommodation] discussed an ambulance, but he went to his partner's address in Connah's Quay; he felt safer there and felt he'd be looked after better. "Someone told the police, who went there. "He was very compliant with officers and told them: "I know I shouldn't be here." Mr Harvey conceded his client's behaviour had constituted a deliberate breach of the CBO. MORE COURT NEWS Kutryk himself them interjected, telling the court: "I'm institutionalised. I want to go back to prison." The Magistrates agreed the breach had been "persistent" in nature and jailed the defendant for 18 months. Kutryk was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £154 victim surcharge.

Eryri biker, 19, airlifted to hospital with serious injuries in A5 crash

More info A 19-year-old biker suffered serious injuries in a crash on the A5 in northwest Wales this afternoon (Sunday, July 13), police have said. The collision occurred around a mile north of Capel Curig in Eryri National Park. North Wales Police (NWP) were alerted at 2.38pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Audi Q7 and a blue Yamaha motorcycle. Wales Air Ambulance airlifted the rider to the serious trauma unit at Royal University Stoke Hospital. He remains there under treatment. The road is closed between Capel Curig, Conwy, and Bethesda, Gwynedd, for initial collision investigation work. Traffic is being officially diverted via the A470 and A55, with reports of some resulting congestion in places like Betws-y-Coed. Sgt Alun Jones of the NWP Roads Crime Unit has pledged further updates on the closure as the investigation continues. A crash in the area 15 days ago resulted in the overnight closure of the A5 through the Ogwen Valley. Sgt Jones is now appealing for the public's help in securing information about the crash.
