Tower Works Street Fest to return to Leeds during summer months
The team behind the North Leeds, Harrogate, Ilkley, and Ripley Castle Food & Drink Festivals will bring the Tower Works Street Fest back to Mustard Wharf, in Leeds, this summer, following its debut last year.
The market will be hosted in Verona Square, among the surrounds of Tower Works and its three Venetian towers.
It will run every first weekend of the month (including the preceding Friday) during June, July, August, and September, with the first three days of activity being Friday, June 6, Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8.
In the words of a spokesperson, attendees can expect "a jam-packed line-up of some of the best street food and drink vendors, artisan markets, independent bars, and groovy tunes, as well as plenty of furniture to lounge on."
Tower Works Street Fest production manager Michael Johnston said: "The vibe was incredible last year and we can't wait to bring back this event at the picturesque Tower Works, making it even better than the last.
"With top-notch international food and drink vendors from across the north to host the festival each month, it's shaping up to be another belter."

A flower wall has found a new home after capturing the attention of thousands of people at the Great Yorkshire Show. The display, known as the Geo Flower Wall, has been donated to Harrogate charity Horticap by Geo Underwriting, a long-time sponsor of the show. Phil Airey, operations manager at Horticap, said: "It was such a lovely surprise to have been nominated and find out that we had won these gorgeous plants. "On behalf of all of us at team Horticap and our students, I'd like to say a huge thank you to those who suggested us. Visitors to the show were invited to nominate a deserving charity to receive the plants, which were grown and arranged by Wressle-based florist Raspberry Wild. Horticap, which provides horticultural training and support for adults with learning disabilities, received the most nominations. The charity's patron is gardener and broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh. Kate Bush, head of agriculture at Geo Underwriting, said: "At Geo we don't just insure farms, many people in our team are farmers in their own right. "We live and breathe agriculture. "We understand the incredible value that nature provides to us all, and it's fantastic to see a charity like Horticap being able to benefit from the plants we had in our Geo Flower Wall. "It's a small gesture but one that we hope will ultimately make a big difference to the work that Horticap do. Couple marry at Glastonbury with cake they brought
A couple who got married at Glastonbury transported a wedding cake made by the bride nearly 250 miles (402km) to the ceremony. Charles and Charlie Shires, from Harrogate, had a "spiritual" hand-tying wedding in the festival's Healing Field on Thursday morning. A celebrant conducted the ceremony, which the couple attended after spending the night in a glamping site. Mrs Shires, 31, a baker, had a "blow-dry bus" to get her hair styled in, and after the wedding they partied in the BBC Introducing tent. "It was a brilliant day," said Mrs Shires. "I make birthday and wedding cakes for a living and I usually make buttercream, but I wanted a challenge to see if a white chocolate ganache would melt. "It survived!" The couple were joined by 15 friends who also got festival tickets for the occasion, but have planned "another wedding do closer to home" in the next few months to legalise their marriage. Mrs Shires, who has been to four previous Glastonbury festivals, wore old, comfy boots while Mr Shires, an aerial surveyor who has also been to the festival six times before, wore his walking boots. He said he "sadly" lost his jacket in a field. "It was the only thing we lost!" he said. The cake was kept in the couple's tent and fridges in the glamping site before it was taken to the Healing Field. The newlyweds have now returned to their "normal lives" in Harrogate and are likely to officially marry at a registry office later this year. Mrs Shires added that her wedding dress was "ruined, muddy and stained".
