CRYSTAL PALACE were inspired to FA Cup glory by an incredible tifo with a heartwarming meaning.
The Eagles made history on Saturday as they lifted their first-ever trophy with a 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Ebere Eze's 16th minute strike was enough to seal glory at Wembley.
While Dean Henderson avoided a red card for handball before saving a penalty moments later.
The game even ended with a clash between Henderson and City boss Pep Guardiola, who was left fuming at full-time,
But there was a major inspiration behind the Eagles' brilliant victory in north west London.
Before kick-off, a stunning tifo was unveiled by Palace fans bearing the message: 'Wembley will shake… and it will be beautiful.'
Alongside was an image of a Palace fan celebrating with two children.
And during the match, the club explained the heartwarming reason behind the tifo.
Posting a tweet, which also showed the original picture it was based on, Palace explained all with a caption declaring: 'Best fans in the world.'
They said: 'After Darren Ambrose's 40 yard screamer against Manchester United in 2011, the cameras panned to the away end and, amidst 3,000 supporters jumping for joy, found an adrenalised red-and-blue clad supporter, Mark Wealleans, screaming with passion while holding up two young Palace lads who — then nine and six-years-old — responded by bursting into tears.
'Tragically, Mark Wealleans, a proud south London and Season Ticket holder, lost his life in February 2017, aged just 49, five months after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

'His two kids are in the crowd today continuing the Palace supporting tradition.'
Fans responded with delight to the emotional tribute.
One said: 'Another reason why every other football fan is delighted for Palace.'
Another declared: 'Wow what an honour and gesture, thank you.'
One noted: 'Love that, amazing, congrats Palace.'

The tifo certainly seemed to do the trick for Palace.
Oliver Glasner's men put in a monstrous defensive effort to keep City at bay, with goalkeeper Henderson putting in several big saves.
But the stopper was lucky to be on the pitch after handling the ball outside his own half.
He was only saved from a red card thanks to a controversial VAR check after swatting the ball away from a goal-bound Erling Haaland.
And the decision proved to be pivotal as Henderson went on to save a penalty from Omar Marmoush just 10 minutes later.
Pep Guardiola was left raging at full-time as he clashed with Henderson, who dedicated Palace's incredible win to his late father.
And it was the goalie who had the last laugh as he joined teammates for a trophy lift they and Palace's fans will never forget.
Man City ratings
MANCHESTER CITY were stunned by Crystal Palace at Wembley, condemning Pep Guardiola to a first trophyless season in eight years.
Eberechi Eze netted the only goal of the game to leave the Eagles quite literally 'Glad All over'.
And as much as City huffed and puffed they were unable to hit the back of the net, mainly thanks to the fine form of Dean Henderson.
The Palace goalkeeper could have been sent off for handling the ball outside the box, but made the most of seeing only a free kick given against him.
Here's how SunSport's Martin Blackburn rated the Manchester City stars on one of their more forgettable trips to Wembley.

Thomas Tuchel says there are just 10 spots left in England World Cup 2026 squad
England resume their World Cup qualification campaign on Saturday with a trip to Andorra, but players are fighting for a diminishing number of places in Thomas Tuchel's squad England boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted there are just 10 spots remaining in his squad for next summer's World Cup. The Three Lions still have six games to play in their qualification group. Their next match comes on Saturday evening when they travel to face minnows Andorra in Barcelona. But having won their opening two qualifiers, England appear almost certain to book their place in next summer's tournament. That will be held across the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. The revamped competition will see more games than ever before, though only 16 countries will be dumped out at the group stage. England are likely to be one of the favourites to win the World Cup, having finished as runners-up in each of the last two European Championships. Tuchel has been brought in to lead them to glory in next summer's tournament. The German has sprung a few surprises in his first few squads, bringing the likes of Jordan Henderson and Ivan Toney in from the cold. He only has a handful more camps in which to test out players in his team. And a year out from the World Cup, the England boss has now confirmed that there are only 10 spots remaining in his squad. Each country will be allowed to name 26 players for the tournament. But Tuchel has already settled on 16 names. He told ITV Sport: "I have to take a guess, I would say 16, maybe. But it's just a guess, maybe it's less, maybe it's more. We need a bit of time. We still have time." The Three Lions are heavy favourites to smash Andorra, before hosting Senegal in a friendly at Nottingham Forest's City Ground on Tuesday. Speaking after naming his squad for these games, Tuchel admitted he is relishing the chance to work with his players again. 'We can't wait,' Tuchel said. 'It's been a while. We had a good first camp and we are eager to do the next step and have a good camp again in Spain and back at St. George's Park with two matches. 'We want to win both matches. It's super important. We are the heavy favourites [against Andorra] and we expect from ourselves a win. We will prepare for this game with all the respect and of course, very seriously. 'We love Wembley and Wembley is our home but it's a nice change of routine [to play at the City Ground]. It will be a nice occasion because Senegal are a strong team, high up in the international ranking, so it will be a good test and a necessary test.' 'This is maybe the last chance to integrate more players and see more players in our environment and see how they behave and see the quality and what they can bring to the group. 'We added some new guys to have a full picture when things become even more competitive in September, October and November.'

Sophie Ecclestone takes break from cricket to prioritise ‘well-being'
Sophie Ecclestone has decided to take a break from all cricket to prioritise her 'well-being' ahead of England's white-ball series against India. The England and Wales Cricket Board has said she remains available for selection for the five T20s and three ODIs against India in June and July, but she has not played for the national side since the 16-0 whitewash Ashes defeat at the start of the year. Ecclestone was left out of Charlotte Edwards' first England squad against the West Indies with a knee injury sustained over the winter, although she returned to domestic cricket the same day as the squad announcement. Ecclestone, who tops the ICC's T20I and 50-over bowling rankings, has been playing in the domestic white-ball competitions until as recently as June 1, and was part of the Lancashire side that won the T20 County Cup in May. In her eight domestic games this season, she has taken 14 wickets across the two formats at an average of 11. England Women's head coach Charlotte Edwards said: 'Sophie has been managing a quad niggle over the past week but more importantly she wants to take a step back from cricket for a short period to look after herself. 'We're totally behind that. We want to be able to select Sophie for the India series but the most important thing for her at the moment is that she feels in a better place. 'We all agree that a break now could be beneficial for her to achieve that.' Ecclestone made headlines during England's chastening Ashes defeat in Australia when she refused to do an interview with pundit Alex Hartley, a former team-mate. The public spat was over comments made by Hartley during the T20 World Cup in the autumn, questioning the players' fitness levels, although she did not name any individuals specifically. Conversations surrounding fitness became a black cloud hanging over the England side throughout the winter. That was compounded when Edwards announced that there were no 'minimum fitness standards' in place in the set-up, and that she would put some in place to come in at the start of next summer.
