Two-time WNBA All-Star forward Angel Reese also contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds. This was her seventh-straight game with a double-double and 13th total during the 2025 season.

After taking down Bueckers and the Wings for the Sky's sixth win of the season, Reese posted four simple words on social media.
"DUBS IN THE CHATTTTT," Reese wrote.
Reese is now averaging 13.3 points, 12.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists during the 2025 season. Wednesday's game did snap her streak of five consecutive contests with 15 or more points and 15 or more rebounds, however.
Chicago just played back-to-back games, as well as three contests in the last four days. Now, they will get a two-day rest before facing off against the 17-3 Minnesota Lynx on Saturday.
The game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The Sky will be looking to string wins together for just the second time this season, whereas the Lynx will try to bounce back from their defeat against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.

The Caitlin Clark Effect is the real deal, and so is the WNBA

But the WNBA is much more than just one player, and Clark is not the best player at this level, not yet. Familiarize yourself with two-time MVP A'ja Wilson and Napheesa Collier. But if Clark is the gateway nectar that gets people to drink up all the league and its players offer that's a W for the W. Advertisement Last year's first-ever WNBA game at the Garden was a rousing success. In front of a sell-out crowd of 19,125, the Sun downed the Los Angeles Sparks, 69-61, in an electric and historic atmosphere. But it wasn't shown on national television, much to the dismay of then-Sun guard and 2024 WNBA Most Improved Player DiJonai Carrington. She called that out. Advertisement The league offered Sun vs. Sparks, one of the league's worst teams last season, That's the Caitlin Clark Effect. 'I've had a lot of fun being in the spotlight and helping to grow this game and move it forward,' said Clark, prior to her WNBA debut. 'That's what I'm going to continue to do, but I think I know firsthand how talented this league is — whether it was me as a young kid or whether it's me now playing here — like how many talented players are in this league. 'The more we can share the love, the better this league is going to be.' Amen. Boston fans should consider themselves lucky that Clark is slated to hoop in the Hub. She's missed nine games this season, sitting out with quadriceps and groin injuries. Her characteristic long-range shooting flair has been MIA. While she's averaging 16.7 points and 9 assists per game, second in the WNBA, she's only shooting 28.9 percent from 3-point range and 37.4 percent overall. The Fever, coached by former Sun coach Stephanie White, are an underwhelming 11-10, despite talent that includes Worcester's own aptly-named Aliyah Boston, as well as Kelsey Mitchell. Both joined Clark as WNBA All-Star selections. That shows you how deep and difficult the WNBA is. It's a league with decorated and dedicated veterans. It's a league where roster spots are so precious that first-round picks aren't guaranteed to make their teams, even if they're not Belichickian busts. Advertisement Clark already shares some history with New England's WNBA entry. She made her WNBA debut against the Sun in Connecticut in May 2024, scoring 20 points on 5 for 15 shooting while committing 10 turnovers. The Fever and the Sun boast more bruising recent history. The last time Clark played the Sun, she was That retaliatory rampage was later upgraded by the league to a Flagrant-2 foul. Later in the contentious contest, Fever forward Sophie Cunningham committed a hard foul on Sheldon, leading to another dust-up and the ejections of Cunningham, Sheldon, and Connecticut's Lindsay Allen late in a Fever victory on June 17. One thing is for sure, the outcry on social media when Clark was dropped by another white player was muted compared to when she was unceremoniously leveled by Some conservatives attempted to co-opt Clark to buttress reverse racism and anti-DEI rhetoric. (Ironically, Mabrey was a teammate of Carter's at the time.) Advertisement To her credit, Clark rejects being an avatar in the culture wars. Multiple times, she Regardless of race, there's clearly some animosity – and jealousy — toward Clark. WNBA players voted her a ludicrous ninth among guards on their All-Star ballots. She finished first in the fan balloting and third in the media voting for the game, in which she will be a starter and captain on her home floor; the WNBA's All-Star game takes place in Indianapolis on Saturday. Against the backdrop of welcoming the WNBA's biggest draw, Tuesday's marquee event resonates as an opportunity for Boston to showcase its worthiness for a WNBA team. Earlier this month, Unfortunately, the rebuilding Sun are foils for the Fever. They enter Tuesday's WNBA Garden party with the league's worst record (3-18). Why Nationals drafted Eli Willits over Ethan Holliday at No. 1 overall pick in 2025 MLB Draft

The Washington Nationals looked like they were on a course to take a college pitcher with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. But seemingly at the last minute, the Nats pivoted. They made a franchise-altering decision, but it wasn't to Ethan Holliday. Advertisement At 1.1, the Nationals drafted Eli Willits, a high school shortstop out of Oklahoma. At 17 years old, he's the youngest player ever chosen first overall. Late mock drafts had LSU's Kade Anderson as the Nationals' most likely selection. The college lefty was viewed as a talented, safe pick. The Nats decided they didn't want safe. They wanted best. Many had Holliday, the son of Matt Holliday (Rockies legend) and brother Jackson Holliday (Orioles rising star), as the No. 1 player on the board. "Ethan Holliday would've been the best pick," MLB Network's Harold Reynolds said on the broadcast. Advertisement Instead, they went Willits. He's the son of Reggie Willits, who was a six-year MLB outfielder with the Angels. He's viewed as having above-average tools across the board. He reclassified from being the No. 1 recruit in the 2026 class to get to the pros a year early. Willits will stick at shortstop, and he's quite a safe choice. He seems like he'll make it and be a good MLB ballplayer, for sure. "You can dream on him becoming Francisco Lindor," MLB Network's Dan O'Dowd said on the broadcast. "... We can argue about the ceiling all day, but has a really good floor." Advertisement From now on, he'll be compared to Holliday. The two high school shortstops from Oklahoma might end up as the two best players in this class. Is Willits the better one? Time will tell. MORE MLB DRAFT:

Bronny James generates excitement, but Clippers prevail over Lakers in Summer League

Lakers guard Bronny James, right, shoots in front of Clippers rookie Yanic Konan Niederhauser during the first half of the Clippers' 67-58 NBA Summer League win in Las Vegas on Monday night. (Garrett Ellwood / NBAE via Getty Images) Even with all the sports dignitaries in attendance and even though they were watching a rivalry game of sorts between the Lakers and Clippers, the fans inside the Thomas & Mack Center still were mostly enamored with Bronny James. That is the kind of drawing power James had even with his dad, LeBron James, watching again from his baseline seats. That's the kind of draw James had even with Steve Ballmer, Tyronn Lue, JJ Redick and Rob Pelinka in attendance. Advertisement Even with Austin Reaves, Deandre Ayton and Kawhi Leonard looking on, Bronny James was the center of attention yet again. Read more: Kobe Bryant not in NBA's all-time top 10? Shaq thinks that ranking is 'criminal' James had one of his better NBA Summer League games, but it was the Clippers who came out on top in a 67-58 win Monday night at Nevada Las Vegas. James had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists in 24 minutes and 17 seconds. He was six for 10 from the field and three for five from three-point range. And, yes, he was happy to have the support of his family and teammates. 'It definitely gave me a little boost, seeing them cheer for me and my teammates,' James said. 'It's great to get in the gym with them.' The star of the night was Clippers forward Jordan Miller, his 19 points and seven rebounds a big reason why the Clippers are 3-0 in the summer league. Advertisement His three-pointer late in the fourth quarter gave the Clippers a lead they never lost. He scored nine of the Clippers' last 11 points. 'We got it done,' said Clippers assistant coach Jeremy Castleberry, who is the team's summer league coach. 'We got it done. We did what we needed to do, the second night of a back-to-back. For a lot of those guys, it was the first back-to-back they played in a long time. So, happy we got it done.' James started strong, shooting a three-pointer to open the scoring. He added a step-back three in the second quarter, those two shots being part of his 12 first-half points on four-for-four shooting. He made a three-pointer in the fourth quarter that tied the score 51-51. 'Honestly, I just feel like my confidence is growing over the last year and a half or so. So, I'm just going to grow on that and keep my mind right.' The Lakers shot 34.4% just from the field, 30% from three-point range and 38.5% from the free-throw line (five for 13). They also turned the ball over 19 times. Lakers assistant coach Lindsey Harding said the team showed signs of 'fatigue,' which she expected considering it was their sixth summer game (they played three games at the California Classic in San Francisco). Advertisement 'It just seemed like we didn't have much pop,' said Harding, the Lakers' summer league coach. But not James. He seemed energized the entire game. "Bronny came ready. He came ready. He had the spark," Harding said. "You want these guys, especially him in that position and who he'll be with us with the Lakers, when you get your minutes, go hard. Play until exhaustion, we'll take you out and then we'll put you back in. I thought that he did that today. "He did a great job, even on the offensive end in finding players, making reads on pick-and-rolls. I think they struggled guarding him and he did a great job on the defensive end.' But James wasn't the only one who got the fans excited. Advertisement Clippers rookie Yanic Konan Niederhauser threw down a nasty dunk on Cole Swider in the third quarter, which brought the crowd to its feet. Niederhauser had another strong outing for the Clippers with 10 points, two rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.
