Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson to ‘say goodbye to the past' in docuseries
The six-part series, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, will also follow the star through her high-risk pregnancy in the run-up to the premature birth of her twins, born this month.
Nelson, 33, is best known for being a former member of the pop group Little Mix, which rose to fame after winning X Factor in 2011. Nelson shot to fame as part of Little Mix (Doug Peters/PA)
After nearly a decade together, with chart-topping singles including their winning song Cannonball, Shout Out To My Ex and Wings, the singer decided to leave the group in December 2020.
The docuseries will take a closer look into her decision to leave Little Mix, her struggle with mental health and fame, as well as the journey of motherhood.
Nelson said: 'Letting the cameras in wasn't an easy decision for us as it's such a deeply personal time, but I knew I wanted to tell my story in my own words.
'We opened the doors fully and I'm really looking forward to letting you all in as I navigate my way to becoming a first time mum to our beautiful baby girls Ocean and Story.
'I'll be honest, it's not been easy as it's been such a high-risk pregnancy, so you'll see all the highs and lows and rollercoaster of emotions we have been going through.
'I hope you will all join me on this journey as I really open up and say goodbye to the past and enter this new chapter in my life. I hope you love it as much as we do.' Jesy Nelson's journey to motherhood is revealed in the series (Jonathan Hordle/PA)
Nelson announced her pregnancy with her partner, musical artist Zion Foster, in January and has documented her complications on her social media including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition which has been described by the NHS as an abnormality of the placenta.
She gave birth to the two twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, on May 15 saying in an Instagram caption: 'Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days.'
'It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love.'
After leaving the girl group, Nelson released two songs as a solo artist, Boyz, which featured US rapper Nicki Minaj in 2021 and in 2023 released the single Bad Thing.
Prime Video UK's Hannah Blyth said: 'The series will offer an intimate look at Jesy's journey — a powerful account that's never been told before – and we are extremely grateful to Jesy for opening up her life to the cameras during such a pivotal and impactful year for her, as she embraces new motherhood and reflects on her experiences beyond the headlines.
'We're confident that our Prime Video audience will be deeply moved by her honesty and strength as she finds new clarity and speaks her truth in this next chapter of her life.'
Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix is produced by Navybee and will launch on Prime Video globally.

'You must be fed up' – Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling's treatment now speaks volumes
'You must be fed up' – Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling's treatment now speaks volumes Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling were an iconic duo on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday, where they shared numerous memorable and amusing moments before leaving the network Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling are great friends (Image: X/@chris_kammy ) Chris Kamara has agreed with friend and former colleague Jeff Stelling over the most embarrassing moment in the legendary host's career. The seamless rapport between Kamara, who served as a live match reporter, and Stelling, who presented the show, was an enduring highlight of Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday. Their time working together was filled with passion, unexpected twists and a healthy dose of comedy. A particular incident that had Stelling blushing saw him corrected by Kamara for forgetting West Ham's transition to the London Stadium from their previous home at Upton Park. Stelling humorously branded the gaffe as the "lowest point" in his time as a presenter. Kamara concurs with his dear pal, telling the Daily Star: "Yeah, it's true, it probably was the lowest point in his career." But the former Brentford and Leeds defender added: "We had so many laughs along the way, too many to mention. What a great time we had, the best of it all. "And those memories and the way people treat myself and Jeff these days, they obviously enjoyed it as well. So that's a great thing." Article continues below Kamara remains known for his signature 'Unbelievable Jeff!' catchphrase that still resonates with fans today, with the love they each receive a testament to their respective legacies. He said: "If I go out every single day, somebody will say, 'Unbelievable Jeff'. And they go, 'You must be fed up with that?' Stelling's presentation of Soccer Saturday was slick, albeit with the odd mishap (Image: Sky Sports News/X ) "No, I'm not, not at all. I'm proud of it, if I'm honest, to have a catchphrase that's got longevity. Don't knock it." Kamara departed Sky as he grappled with apraxia of speech, while Stelling stepped down from his long-standing role as Soccer Saturday presenter in 2023. The pair were unexpectedly reunited on TV when Kamara was hired to report on Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham as part of Amazon Prime Video's Boxing Day coverage, fronted by Stelling. "That was great, absolutely great. I couldn't believe it," said Kamara, who is managing his symptoms of apraxia, a condition that impacts the ability to plan and coordinate the movements necessary for speech. Kamara was delighted and surprised to reunite with Stelling on Prime Video (Image: Amazon Prime Sport/X ) Article continues below "I thought it was a wind-up when I received the call from Amazon. They said, 'We've got an idea. Because it's our last round of games, and Sky have all the future Christmas games and stuff... we've got an idea, we're going to get you reporting with Jeff in the studio.' "I asked, 'Are you sure you want me back?' And they responded 'Yeah, yeah we do.' Nottingham Forest rolled out the red carpet for me, displayed my picture on the big screen, 'Welcome back, Kammy.' They even gave me boardroom tickets. "It was just wonderful, and I declared there and then if that is my last game, then so be it. The last game I covered before that for Sky was when my condition was really bad, Rotherham versus Shrewsbury."

Paul McCartney was 'nearly killed' during most chilling encounter of career
Paul McCartney released one of his most celebrated albums on this day in 1973, but recording it proved to be costly as he was 'nearly killed' while working on the record An album which veteran songwriter Paul McCartney released on this day in 1973 saw The Beatles member "nearly killed". After leaving the Fab Four, McCartney would embark on a string of successful solo albums and also formed another group, Wings. McCartney will release a book detailing his experiences in the Denny Laine and Linda McCartney-featuring band later this year. While Wings would stick together for a decade and provide McCartney with some of his best-known songs, like 'Jet' and 'Live and Let Die', making one of the band's biggest albums proved to be a death-defying experience. McCartney and the band recorded what would be their most critically acclaimed release, releasing it on this day in 1973. The Beatles songwriter has spoken openly about the dangerous time making 'Band on the Run', the Wings album which would offer audiences hits like 'Let Me Roll It' and 'Mrs. Vandebilt'. Wings opted to record the album at EMI's studio in Lagos, Nigeria, which proved troublesome from the get go when the band's instruments were stolen. The Höfner bass guitar McCartney had used all through his time in The Beatles was stolen at the time, though he was reunited with it at a show in Manchester, 50 years later. McCartney recalled: "We were told not to walk on the streets alone, but you get told that in every dangerous country. "Being madcap rock 'n' rollers, Linda [McCartney's wife and Wings member] and I decided, 'What do they know? Since it's such a lovely night, we'll walk home.' So we got robbed. "We ran back to the place we were staying at and got under the blankets until morning, thinking: 'Have they followed us?' We got into the studio the next day, and the studio manager said: 'You're lucky you're white. If you were black they would have killed you because they would worry that you would recognise them. "If they thought you could have identified them to the police, they would have finished you off.' So yeah, we lost the tapes, but because we had been doing them so recently I remembered them." In an incident recalled by Geoff Emerick, the sound engineer alleged Linda McCartney had stepped in to prevent the Wings troupe from being killed. She is said to have told the knife-wielding men: "Don't kill him - he's Beatle Paul!" It was not just the locals which nearly killed McCartney, as according to the songwriter he was "fainting dead away" during one session in the studio because of the heat. Emerick recalled: "Within seconds, he turned as white as a sheet, explaining to us in a croaking voice that he couldn't catch his breath. "We decided to take him outside for some fresh air, which probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, because once he was exposed to the blazing heat he felt even worse and began keeling over, finally fainting dead away at our feet." Despite the health woes and horrid conditions, 'Band on the Run' remains a fond part of McCartney and Wings' discography. A Reddit post praising the album saw many consider it a peak of McCartney's career. One user wrote: "A genius songwriter and master craftsman at the top of his game. He's incredible." Another added: "Sheer joy in listening to that album! "My vinyl album (bought when it was released) still includes the original 'polaroid snapshot' poster as well as the record sleeve with the lyrics."
