Profmed steps in as 1,800 qualified South Africa doctors face job and healthcare crisis

Far too many doctors, after years of study and service, are left without work, income, or even access to healthcare. This is according to Profmed chief executive officer, Craig Comrie. South African statistics alone reflect that, as of early 2025, between 1,500 and 1,800 doctors who completed their community service were unemployed and unable to secure positions in the public health sector – this, despite healthcare facilities reporting vacancy rates of between 5% and 22%. This stands in stark contrast to the country's dire need for medical professionals. South Africa has an average of just 0.31 doctors per 1,000 people – a figure well below the World Health Organization's recommended minimum of one doctor per 1,000. This mismatch highlights a troubling paradox: newly qualified doctors are struggling to find employment in a system that is simultaneously overwhelmed and understaffed. Supporting young professionals To better support young, qualified doctors and dentists under 30 who are unemployed or recently employed, Comrie is proud to announce the company's new initiative: an offering of 12 months of free medical aid to young, qualified doctors and dentists under 30 who are unemployed or recently employed. To qualify, candidates must have completed their community service in the past two years and either be unemployed or have been employed within the last six months. Furthermore, candidates must register on the finDR platform – a Profmed initiative that places young medical professionals in locum or permanent roles across the country, offers mentorship, and connects them with a community of professionals committed to making a difference. 'This is about more than just medical aid,' says Comrie. 'It's about making sure our young healthcare professionals don't fall through the cracks as they take their first steps into a demanding but vital career. 'We've heard from far too many doctors who, after years of study and community service, are left without work, income, or even the ability to access private healthcare. That's unacceptable, and it's something we're stepping in to change. Providing this kind of support is critical as they transition into the medical profession.' Platform gains traction Profmed officially launched the finDR platform in February 2025. The initial rollout of finDR included an offer of six months of free Profmed medical aid to the first 500 doctors who signed up. Since its launch, finDR has seen significant engagement, with over 560 doctors registering within the first week. The platform's intelligent matching system ensures that placements are aligned with doctors' qualifications, locations, and preferences while making it easier for practices to fill staffing gaps and reduce patient waiting times. "With this new campaign, Profmed is expanding its support and doubling down on its commitment to the country's young professionals," Comrie says. "This offer is our way of saying: you matter. Your career matters. And we're here to help you take that next step, securely and with dignity.' However, Comrie cautions that the need for employment among doctors is even greater than Profmed had anticipated: 'The response to finDR has been phenomenal. With this new campaign, Profmed is expanding its support and doubling down on its commitment to the country's young professionals. "Over 800 qualified doctors have already joined the platform, proving how urgently it's needed."

4 best Altcoin to buy now before the next breakout

As cryptocurrency markets rebound strongly in 2025 following improved macroeconomic conditions and regulatory clarity in major economies, altcoins have emerged as the top performers of the year. Many participants, from institutional asset managers to decentralized finance users, are turning to next-generation blockchains that offer more than just speculation. These are networks delivering interoperability, scalability, real-world asset tokenization, and application-layer innovation at breakneck the many altcoins in the spotlight, four are gaining extraordinary traction: Qubetics, Avalanche, Arweave, and Aptos. Contents1. Qubetics ($TICS) — Leading Interoperability & Enterprise UtilityQubetics Presale: Stats, Stages, and ROI Projections2. Qubetics ($TICS) leads this transformation with a purpose-built infrastructure that tackles what previous crypto networks couldn't: scalable interoperability and seamless integration between sectors. Its rapidly expanding community base and soaring presale numbers position it as the best altcoin to buy now. 1. Qubetics ($TICS) — Leading Interoperability & Enterprise Utility Qubetics is rapidly defining the next generation of blockchain infrastructure by solving the persistent interoperability barrier that plagues Layer-1 and Layer-2 ecosystems. Unlike siloed chains like Ethereum or Solana, Qubetics enables seamless integration across blockchains, private networks, enterprise IT systems, and AI models. Through its modular smart contract architecture and on-chain governance, the network creates standardized protocols for businesses, governments, and developers to deploy cross-functional applications. Qubetics has launched its Unified Application Framework (UAF), a groundbreaking tool for developers that abstracts chain complexity, enabling Web2 and Web3 services to function in harmony. Whether it's a supply chain firm in logistics or a fintech platform processing CBDCs across borders, Qubetics facilitates plug-and-play capability through built-in APIs, zero-knowledge proofs, and a custom routing layer that minimizes latency and fees. This practical real-world application has made Qubetics a top choice for enterprise clients and innovators seeking Web3 scalability. For example, an e-commerce platform can integrate Qubetics to route payments across multiple stablecoin networks while anchoring transactions to regulated data oracles. Similarly, an AI-powered medical research platform can tokenize patient records on-chain without compromising privacy—thanks to Qubetics' encrypted interoperability standards. The result is a growing list of partnerships across sectors like DeFi, supply chain, gaming, and data science. Unlike hype-driven projects, Qubetics is engineering real-world usage, positioning it as the best altcoin to buy now for those seeking long-term adoption potential. Qubetics Presale: Stats, Stages, and ROI Projections The Qubetics crypto presale is currently in its 37th stage, with the $TICS token available at $0.3370. So far, more than 514 million tokens have been sold to over 27,300 token holders, raising over $17.5 million. This remarkable surge in adoption speaks volumes about the network's perceived long-term potential. Participants who secure $TICS at this stage stand to benefit from significant upside. If the token reaches $1 after the presale, that's a projected 196% ROI. A move to $5 would deliver a staggering 1,383% return. Analyst models suggest $TICS could trade between $10 and $15 following the mainnet launch, offering up to 4,349% ROI based on current entry levels. This performance projection places Qubetics among the most promising best crypto presale opportunities in 2025. With mainnet functionality including cross-chain routing, RWA tokenization, and developer staking incentives, the $TICS ecosystem offers expansive upside. Why did this coin make it to this list: Qubetics solves a major market gap with real-world interoperability, and rising adoption, making it the undisputed best crypto presale 2025. 2. Avalanche (AVAX) — High-Speed DeFi Ecosystem With Enterprise Scaling Avalanche has seen a major resurgence in 2025 thanks to its industry-leading Subnet architecture and the recent landmark partnership with FIFA. The network enables developers to create application-specific blockchains, reducing congestion and optimizing performance based on use-case requirements. This feature has attracted DeFi projects, metaverse games, and government pilots. FIFA recently announced that its digital collectibles, including NFTs tied to major football events, will now reside on Avalanche instead of Algorand. This partnership alone introduced millions of new users to the AVAX ecosystem, further backed by Ava Labs' low-cost Layer-1 design and near-instant finality. Another major development is Avalanche Evergreen, a program aimed at institutional blockchain adoption. Several hedge funds, asset tokenization platforms, and multinational banks are now testing Avalanche-based RWA infrastructures, suggesting long-term growth prospects for AVAX. On the technical side, Avalanche recently upgraded its validator count, improved subnet communication protocols, and optimized performance with Snowman++ consensus refinements. This positions it as one of the most scalable and enterprise-friendly blockchains in the market. Why did this coin make it to this list: Avalanche combines speed, institutional traction, and an expanding user base through real-world adoption, securing its spot as the best altcoin to buy now. 3. Arweave (AR) — Permanent Decentralized Storage for AI and Web3 Arweave continues to dominate the decentralized data storage sector in 2025, thanks to its 'permaweb' infrastructure that offers permanent file hosting on-chain. With the rise of generative AI and decentralized applications needing immutable data feeds, Arweave's storage layer has become indispensable. The network recently rolled out SmartWeave V3, an upgrade enabling more complex programmable logic for data access, permission control, and cross-application integration. Arweave is now being used by universities, research labs, and historical archives to store critical data that cannot be altered—a key requirement for compliance-heavy sectors like healthcare and law. Additionally, Arweave has partnered with several L2 networks, including Optimism and Starknet, allowing developers to archive rollup data permanently, minimizing fraud risk while improving transparency. This use case has made AR one of the most utility-driven tokens in 2025. Price performance has followed the adoption surge, with demand for AR tokens rising due to increased storage contracts and enterprise-grade demand. Why did this coin make it to this list: Arweave's critical role in data permanence and AI storage makes it a must-own utility asset, placing it among the Best Altcoin to Buy Now. 4. Aptos (APT) — Parallel Execution Powerhouse Built with Move Aptos has reemerged as a top-tier altcoin in 2025 after implementing core upgrades to its parallel execution engine and validator structure. Built with the Move programming language, Aptos now processes over 160,000 transactions per second using Block-STM—a unique architecture enabling simultaneous transaction execution without compromising safety. Aptos has launched Aptos Ascend, a toolkit to onboard enterprise developers transitioning from Web2. With major partnerships including Microsoft AI Cloud and gaming publisher Ubisoft, the Aptos ecosystem has expanded well beyond DeFi. Use cases now include on-chain identity, stablecoin payments, and middleware APIs for loyalty programs. One major catalyst this year was a $65M token unlock followed by strong price resilience. Despite an initial selloff, APT recovered quickly, signaling growing confidence from long-term adopters. Derivatives markets and on-chain volumes also confirm rising engagement. Recent developer events in Asia and the Middle East have drawn new community growth, expanding the Aptos footprint globally. Why did this coin make it to this list: Aptos' unmatched throughput and increasing real-world adoption through institutional-grade tools make it a compelling best altcoin to buy now. Final Thoughts Altcoins in 2025 are no longer defined by short-term hype. Qubetics, Avalanche, Arweave, and Aptos are redefining space through real-world utility, technical innovation, and expansive ecosystems that invite cross-sector participation.
