Italian Journalist Delivers Huge Update On Ongoing Transfer Saga Involving Inter Milan & Atalanta Star: 'He Wants Inter'

Italian journalist Ivan Zazzaroni has offered a fresh update on the ongoing transfer saga between Inter Milan and Ademola Lookman. According to the Corriere dello Sport editor-in-chief via FCInter1908, the Nigerian is desperate to join the Nerazzurri. Talks between Inter Milan and Atalanta for Ademola Lookman are ongoing. However, the clubs have yet to find common ground. After seeing their opening bid rejected by La Dea earlier this month, Inter tabled a new offer earlier today. Indeed, Beppe Marotta met with Luca Percassi to discuss the 27-year-old's future. The two met face-to-face at the League Council, shortly before the Nerazzurri lodged an improved bid for Lookman. Atalanta's stance, however, remains unchanged. La Dea have slapped a €50 million price tag on their prized asset and are sticking to their valuation. On the other hand, Inter have increased their offer from €40 million to €45 million, including bonuses. Yet, it may not be enough to get Atalanta's green light. Ivan Zazzaroni Offers Update on Inter Milan Pursuit of Ademola Lookman BERGAMO, ITALY – JANUARY 21: Ademola Lookman of Atalanta celebrates scoring his team's fourth goal during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD7 match between Atalanta BC and SK Sturm Graz at Stadio di Bergamo on January 21, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) Despite Lookman's desire to continue his career at San Siro, Atalanta could spoil Inter's plans. Furthermore, they've become notorious for dragging clubs into protracted talks. Only last summer, Percassi made Juventus wait until late August to sign Teun Koopmeiners. However, the Serie A runners-up are keen to avoid the same scenario. Therefore, they've included an expiration date in their latest proposal. Meanwhile, Zazzaroni confirms Lookman's intention to force the transfer. 'Lookman, the series,' he started. 'Atalanta, having sold Retegui, must stand firm because they have a responsibility to their people. 'And the price is €50 million. Lookman wants to join Inter, in keeping with a promise made to him a year ago. 'That's the key to everything. It's a repeat of the Koopmeiners case. 'Same ending? Three episodes in one day – forget Temptation Island.'

'I was comfortable last year': Texas A&M QB discusses OC Collin Klein's scheme

Texas A&M's 2025 season officially began on Tuesday afternoon, as head coach Mike Elko, alongside starting quarterback Marcel Reed, left tackle Trey Zuhn III, and linebacker Scooby Williams, spoke to the media ahead of the first fall practice session on Wednesday afternoon. Reed, who looked as confident as we've seen him over the last two years, had plenty to say about his own progress and what he expects from OC Collin Klein this season. Texas A&M's 2024 offense, which dealt with the loss of star running back Le'Veon Moss at the end of the year, forcing Marcel Reed to become a drop-back passer, was not the primary reason for the Aggies' 1-4 slide to end the season. However, a portion of the fan base blamed Collin Klein, feeling that his late-season play calling lacked creativity, despite finishing the year averaging 30 points per game. Judging coordinators when teams falter late in the year is a popular exercise, but it was Texas A&M's poor defensive showing, shown in droves during the Aggies' 4 OT loss to Auburn on the road, that constantly put the offense behind the sticks. Still, that was Reed's best game from the pocket, showing an ability to layer his passes and his receiver in stride. With more experience and offseason work to improve the technical aspects of his game, Reed briefly stated that Klein's offense has not changed much, and based on his comfort level in the scheme, this is good news for a player entering his first full season as the starter. "I was comfortable last year. We haven't done too much to change it. With the talent we have, receiver-wise, we've altered some of the routes." Altering routes makes perfect sense after the addition of KC Concepcion and Mario Craver at wide receiver, whose combined quickness and route-running skill sets will allow Reed to get the ball out faster based on their ability to separate in coverage. Again, this quote has already upset some of the fan base, who feel Klein needed to make significant changes to the passing game, but any issues last season mainly had to do with a lack of speed and overall talent in the wide receiver room. "It's good that we had a whole spring this year to do it after a foundation year last year. We're really excited going into this year with this offense. It's going to be very explosive." Time will tell just how "explosive" Texas A&M's 2025 offense will be, as great talent comes with higher expectations, but it certainly is a positive development that Marcel Reed is highly confident in Collin Klein's scheme.
