'He drugged me, kept me under house arrest...' When Aamir Khan's younger brother made Shocking allegations against him
Aamir Khan's brother Faisal Khan, popularly known for his role in the film Mela , once made serious allegations against the superstar. He accused Aamir of forcing him into house arrest and drugging him. He even took the matter to court to prove that his brother was mentally unstable.
In a 2021 interview with Mukesh Khanna, Faisal revealed that due to rising problems between them, he distanced himself from Aamir and his family. However, this made him believe that Faisal had gone 'mad.' He recalled, 'Aamir aaye ghar pe ek din doctor aur police ke saath. Unhone bola, 'Faisal, you are mad. You are not talking to us. Aur 40 bodyguards building main… rassi aur stick aur pata nahi kya.'
Faisal said, 'Main hassa aur bola, 'Aamir, you don't need to do all this. You just come and tell me what your problem is, as family.' Yeh sab shor aur hungama ki zaroorat nahi thi. Khair unhone bola, 'Faisal, abhi hum tumko clinic pe leke jaayenge. Vahan tumhara moaina karenge. Agar tum nahi chaloge toh doctor hai yahan. Voh tumko injection dega, tumko behosh karke le jaayenge,'
He even recalled, 'Maine bola, 'Aamir, yeh sab karne ki zaroorat nahi hai, bhai. Chalo main aisehi chalta hoon.' Mujhe laga kuch test karke chod denge… Vahan toh mera phone leliya aur room main qaid kar diya, and they're not listening to me. Sab bodyguards vahan bhi rakhe the.' When Faisal Khan was kept under house arrest, and forced to take medications
Faisal said that he was forced to take medications as doctors didn't believe that he was normal. 'Toh voh log mere paani main inject karne lage the dawa. Illegal kaam hai yeh. Aur main sone laga 20-20 ghanta… Pila diya, forcefully… Meri jaan ka khatra tha. Overdose ho jaaye, I'll lose my life.' He said that even doctors were on Aamir's side due to his rising popularity.
As per Faisal, he was taken to Aamir's house after 19 days, but wasn't allowed to interact with anyone from outside. A year later, he was sent to his house back, and started to work on himself, focusing on majorly writing and farming. Faisal Khan won the case after 20 years
In 2007, the matter escalated between the brothers, when Aamir told Faisal that he was 'mad.' He even demanded his signatory rights back from him. Faisal in fear contacted a policeman and a journalist to seek help. As per the inspector's advice, Faisal got tested himself in a government hospital.
Before his results were announced, Faisal fled to Lonavala to hide from his family. However, the police found him and took him in custody. In court, his mother and sister claimed that he suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and can pose a threat to their family. However, following a test at JJ Hospital, it was demonstrated that Faisal was mentally stable. 20 days later, he finally found his freedom as he won the case. However, his relationship with his family, including his brother, was strained. Years later, Faisal was spotted at Aamir Khan's daughter Ira's wedding, hinting that things had become better.

But now how it sustains all through the week will play a huge role in determining the film's fate. 'Sitaare Zameen Par' though, has surpassed expectations and despite being a niche film and not like a 'Ghajini' or 'Dangal', the film has managed to create a dent at the box office. Sitaare Zameen Par Movie Review On Friday, the film collected Rs 10.7 crore. Meanwhile, on Saturday, it saw a growth of around 88.79 percent and made Rs 20.2 crore. The total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 68.06 crore. It's expected to cross Rs 75 crore by the end of the day. The film is doing better in multiplexes than single screens. According to Box Office India, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has also done well in territories like Rajasthan and Gujarat where usually Aamir films don't do well. So, it's an encouraging sign. But one hopes that it continues to hold well all through the week and also on the second weekend. On May 27, Kajol starrer 'Maa' releases, which is a mythological horror film. It may give competition to 'Sitaare Zameen Par' if it garners good reviews.
