Ramayana first look: Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, the first look of the mythological film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will be presented to the world on Thursday. Also starring Yash as Ravan, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Laxman and Sai Pallavi as Sita, the film has been in the making for the last two years. So far, the makers have not released any footage from the film and the three-minute preview set to be released on July 3 will be the audience's introduction to the world of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.
Most of the cast members of the film have stayed quiet about their part in the film. However, Yash, who is also the producer of the film, previously spoke to The Hollywood Reporter India where he shared his interpretation of Ravan, and how he intends on playing the role of the antagonist of the epic. 'It's a very fascinating character. I wouldn't have done it for any other reason. In Ramayana, if you had asked me 'would you play any other character?' Probably not. For me, Ravan is the most exciting character to play as an actor so I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character. There's vast scope to present it in a very different way. As an actor, I am very excited. Hopefully, it's going to be a very unique approach to it,' he said.
In June, Sunny also spoke about playing Hanuman in the film. He shared with Zoom, 'Nervousness and fear are always there, but that's the beauty of it because you have to find within you how will you take up the challenge.' He added, 'Ramayana has been made so many times, and when this film comes on the screen and the way all the actors are involved in it, I'm sure they'll do justice to the epic, and people will be satisfied and they will enjoy the film.'
Arun Govil, who is best known for playing Lord Rama on the Doordarshan show Ramayan, will be playing the role of the Ram's father, Dashrath, in the film. It has been reported that Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Surpanakha, and Vivek Oberoi will be seen playing Vidyutjihva, Surpanakha's husband. Actor Indira Krishnan will be seen playing Lord Ram's mother Kaushalya in the film. It has also been reported that Kajal Aggarwal will be seen as Mandodari, and Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi in the film.

Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita and Ravie Dubey will be playing the role of Lord Ram's brother Laxman in the film. At the recent wrap of the film's first part, Ranbir and Ravie were seen celebrating with each other.
An earlier report by Bollywood Hungama suggested that the film is being made on a budget of Rs 835 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film to date. Previously, another film based on the epic, Adipurush, was made on a budget of Rs 500 crore. The film failed at the box office and was severely criticised for its visual effects and dialogues, among other things. That film starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan.
Ramayana will be a two-part film. The first part is scheduled to release on Diwali 2026 and the second part will release on Diwali 2027. The makers are yet to confirm the exact release dates, which will be revealed in the announcement video.

Sudhanshu Pandey Slams The Traitors' Co-Player Apoorva: ‘Bad Language Kills All Goodness'

Last Updated: Sudhanshu Pandey emphasised how crucial it is to be mindful of language, especially in a show that reaches millions. Television actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who was seen as one of the Innocents in The Traitors India Season 1, recently opened up about fellow contestant and content creator Apoorva Mukhija. In an interview, he didn't hold back while addressing her dual behavior and use of abusive language on the show. In a conversation with Zoom, Sudhanshu said, 'It was how they speak about the same person on face and behind the back. This is the new generation, and they are a big lost because there is no sense of concept of culture that you belong to. Apoorva is a very good kid, she has got a kind heart but these kids don't understand ki agar aapki zubaan kharab hai toh aapki saari acchaiyaan saari doob jaati hai (If your language is bad, all your goodness gets overshadowed). Then you would not even want to know whether your heart is good or not." He emphasised how crucial it is to be mindful of language, especially in a show that reaches millions. 'Especially when you are on camera, you have about 20 crore people watching you and when you are abusing like it's their second nature. They think it is very cool to be like that because we are Gen Z," he added. Sudhanshu also weighed in on the leaked chat between Apoorva and fellow contestant Urfi Javed that has been doing the rounds. In the chat, Apoorva is seen congratulating Urfi, saying 'tune toh show jeeta hai (you have won the show)." Responding to it, he said, 'I have no idea, but in case there is some chat like this where they might be saying things that can be detrimental for their viewership, then it is wrong." The Traitors India, hosted by Karan Johar, concluded with Urfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerging as the winners. The final episode of the reality series dropped today. 'There's a lot being said about me, most of you don't know the full story. If ...,' says Soham Parekh, the techie accused of working for multiple companies simultaneously

Soham Parekh An Indian software engineer, Soham Parekh , is at the center of controversy following allegations of moonlighting at multiple US startups simultaneously. The accusations surfaced when Suhail Doshi , co-founder and former CEO of Mixpanel, publicly called out Parekh on Twitter, warning startup founders about his alleged deceptive practices. Doshi claimed that Parekh, who holds a Master's degree in computer science from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor's from the University of Mumbai, was secretly employed at three to four startups at once, targeting Y Combinator-backed companies. Doshi revealed that Parekh briefly worked at his company, Playground AI, but was terminated within a week after his alleged duplicity was uncovered. Doshi further escalated the issue by sharing Parekh's CV online, labeling it 'probably 90 per cent fake' and listing companies such as Dynamo AI, Union AI, Synthesia, Alan AI, and Fleet AI where Parekh allegedly held concurrent roles. Doshi stated he verified his claims with over six companies before going public. Soham Parekh responds to Suhail Doshi's post 'exposing' him In response, Parekh took to Twitter to address the allegations, defending his passion for building technology. Responding to Suhail Doshi's post, Soham Parekh wrote, "There's a lot being said about me right now, and most of you don't know the full story. If there's one thing to know about me, it's that I love to build. That's it. I've been isolated, written off, and shut out by nearly everyone I've known and every company I've worked at. But building is the only thing I've ever truly known, and it's what I'll keep doing," he wrote. Parekh claimed he has faced isolation and rejection from companies and peers but announced he had signed an exclusive deal as a founding engineer with a single company in the video AI space, set to launch later this month.
