India hits jackpot! amid trade war by US, now India surpasses China in…, numbers will shock Pakistan
China was always ahead in terms of exports to various products in the USA and also in the world. Low cost and cheapest products of China are very famous which increases their exports in the world including India. After this month is different for India's export industry, as it has surpassed China in terms of export to the USA. This one is mainly considered as an impact of US-China tariff wars after Donald Trump's move. But it's considered a positive sign for India's exporters.
The tariff war between the US and China has become advantageous for India. In May 2025, India's exports increased by 2.8%, reaching $71.1 billion. This growth helped to reduce the trade deficit. According to the Commerce Ministry, India's total exports for May was at $71.12 billion, a 2.77% increase compared to $69.20 billion in May last year. The trade deficit also declined to $6.62 billion, down from $9.35 billion a year earlier. India Surpasses China In Exports To US
In a major development, India has overtaken China in exports to the US. China's exports to the US fell by 34.5% in May 2025, while India's exports to the US grew by 17.3%. Globally, however, China's overall exports saw growth, rising by 4.6% to $316.2 billion. China Exports Other Countries
To reduce the impact of this decline in exports to the US, China has focused on improving trade ties with other regions, like the European Union, ASEAN, and India. Exports to India grew by 12.4% to $11.13 billion.
The growing tensions between the US and China after Trump tariffs, have started the trade war. US President Donald Trump has raised tariffs, to which China has responded with its own tariff hikes that have led to economic tensions.
India has however benefited from this trade war wherein exports to the US rose by 17.3% to $8.8 billion majorly by smartphone exports. Decline In Imports
India's total imports slightly declined to $60.6 billion. However, non-oil and non-gold imports rose by 12% to $41.2 billion, as per GST data. IGST collections on imports increased by 72.9%, higher from Rs 24,510 crore in May 2024 to Rs 42,370 crore in May 2025.
Electronics imports also Increased by 27.5% to $9.1 billion. Whereas machinery and computer imports grew by 22% to $5 billion.
Paksitan's export were far less than Indian, according to media reports, In fiscal year 2024-25, Pakistan's exports were $24 billion.

Their profit for FY225 was Rs 4.95 crore, up from Rs 1.56 crore in FY24.

Rs 3cr fish market to be built in Jeypore
1 2 3 Koraput: To provide fish vendors a dedicated, hygienic, and well-equipped space for trade in Jeypore, the Koraput district administration has initiated steps to construct a modern fish market. According to the plan, the Rs 3-crore facility will be built over an acre of land. It will accommodate around 60 fish vendors, each provided with designated space, water supply for cleaning, a godown for storage, proper drainage, and other modern amenities. Jeypore tehsildar Chittaranjan Patnaik said a few potential land patches within the town have already been identified for the project. Once the final site is approved by the concerned department, the process for land transfer will be initiated and construction work will start, he added. According to officials, fish vendors currently operate at scattered locations across the town, often in unhygienic conditions, particularly around the non-vegetarian market and street corners. This not only affects the town's cleanliness but also gives rise to an unpleasant environment. "The purpose of the proposed fish market is to provide a hygienic environment for fish vendors and reduce pollution caused by unregulated fish vending across the town," said Sagar Kumar Ram, district fisheries officer, Koraput. Jeypore is a key hub for fish trade in the district, accounting for majority of sales out of the district's annual demand of over 17 metric tonnes.

BMC workers protest against garbage tender
Mumbai: Thousands of civic workers gathered at Azad Maidan Tuesday to protest against the BMC's recent Rs 4,000 crore tender for the collection, transportation and disposal of garbage, which also involves replacing its 1,000 waste collection vehicles. They demanded the civic body immediately scrap the tender issued on May 14. The tender proposes to outsource solid waste management in 22 wards, currently being handled by BMC's staff and vehicles. Under the new system, BMC employees and vehicles will operate in 3 wards, with the rest fully privatised, they said. tnn
