Lotlot De Leon marks 40 days since Nora Aunor's death
It's been 40 days since Nora Aunor passed away.
On Instagram, her daughter Lotlot De Leon shared photos of their family visiting Nora's grave at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City, to mark the 40th day since her passing.
'It's been 40 days since you left us, but not a single day goes by without us thinking of you,' Lotlot began.
Reflecting on the priest's message about the meaning of love during the Mass, the actress shared that she couldn't help but remember what her mother once told her and her sister, Matet De Leon.
'I couldn't help but remember when you told me and Matet, 'Magmahalan kayong lima, ha.' Ma, hanggang ngayon, yang bilin mo—susundin at isasabuhay namin. Sure na sure naman 'yan,' she said.
'The weather was kind—warm, but the breeze carried a gentle peace that comforted us. I know this is what you would've wanted—simple and solemn,' Lotlot added.
The actress admitted things are still difficult, as there are moments when she has so much to say but can't find the words. Yet whenever she thinks of Nora and knows she's now in a better place, she somehow finds a sense of peace.
Ending her post, Lotlot said that they will get through all of this because they always carry her in their hearts.
'Rest now, Mommy. Kakayanin namin 'to. Kaya namin—dahil dala-dala ka pa rin namin sa puso namin. Love you ma,' she added.
Lotlot and her sister, Matet, recently paid tribute to Aunor on what would have been her 72nd birthday on May 21.
The National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts passed away on April 16 at the age of 71. According to her son, Ian De Leon, she died of acute respiratory failure.
She was honored with a state necrological service and was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on April 22.
The Philippines continues to mourn and pay tribute to the one and only Superstar through initiatives like film viewings. A local bakery has also named a pastry after her.
Meanwhile, Lotlot has asked for privacy and vowed to protect Aunor's dignity amid the family's grieving.

JoJo Siwa's mom posts about Chris Hughes joining the Siwa family's game night
Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa are slowly opening up about their relationship on social media, and JoJo Siwa's mom are joining them. On Instagram Stories Sunday, Jessalynn Siwa shared a video of the former "Celebrity Big Brother UK" stars enjoying game night in the Siwa family home. The two looked so comfortable on the couch, being all smiley and touchy with each other. At one point, Chris leaned toward JoJo, who then kissed him on the end. "Game Night," Jessalynn Siwa wrote as she tagged the celebrities, which Christ reposted. Jessalynn followed it up with a photo of Chris and JoJo from across a restaurant table. Chris' next story? A photo of his clean plate from a restaurant. The posts come at the heels of Chris' now-expired Instagram Stories post of himself kissing JoJo on the forehead while they were in bed. "Sleepinnnn beauty," he captioned it. According to E! News, "Chris and the 22-year-old first sparked romance rumors after they were shown bonding on Celebrity Big Brother UK in April, during which they were also shown lying in bed together." On the reality show, JoJo revealed she was queer after previously identifying as a lesbian. Chris Hughes figured quite heavily in JoJo's carousel post on Instagram back in May, where she said her "birthday week was more magical than anything." "Full of surprises, family time, performing, chilling, laughing, loving, smiling, and good meaningful cries," JoJo said, adding it was "a week I'll remember for the rest of my life." In the same week, JoJo figured heavily in Chris' Instagram carousel that same week, which he described as having "been the prettiest." — LA, GMA Integrated News
