Two dead, 559 arrested during Champions League final celebrations: French ministry
Two people died in France and 559 were arrested during celebrations after Paris Saint Germain's stunning Champions League final victory over Inter Milan, the French interior ministry said on Sunday.
A 17-year-old was stabbed to death in the southwestern town of Dax during a gathering to celebrate the Parisians' victory, while a woman riding a scooter died after she was hit by a car in the southwest of Paris, the ministry said, adding that 559 people were arrested, including 491 in the capital.
Paris Saint-Germain won the Champions League for the first time by thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 on Saturday in the most one-sided final in the competition's history.
Teenager Desire Doue scored twice for PSG and set up the opening goal for Achraf Hakimi in Munich's Allianz Arena before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made it four and then 19-year-old substitute Senny Mayulu completed the scoring.
The triumph for the Parisians comes after more than a decade of huge investment from their Qatari owners, and five years after they lost to Bayern Munich in their only previous final appearance.
Already French league and cup double winners, they are remarkably just the second ever French winners of European football's biggest prize.
It is also a second Champions League for PSG coach Luis Enrique, who won with Lionel Messi's Barcelona a decade ago.

But it was all one-way traffic from there as he powered into a 5-0 lead and clinched the opener despite missing one set point for a first-set bagel. Sinner broke for a 2-1 lead and wrapped up the second set when Rublev dropped serve again. With the crowd firmly behind him, 10-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist Rublev upped his level in the third set. But his only break point since the very first game came and went as Sinner remained rock solid on serve, before the top seed took his first match point when a Rublev forehand clipped the net and spun wide.
