Patna: At its third coordination committee meeting on Sunday, the opposition
INDIA bloc
announced plans to intensify grassroots-level engagement ahead of the
Bihar assembly elections
due in Oct-Nov this year.
Senior leaders from the RJD, Congress, three Left parties and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) attended the meeting, alongside district presidents and general secretaries of their respective parties. The meeting, titled India Alliance Dialogue Programme, focused on strategy and coordination for the upcoming polls.

said the alliance would launch joint outreach efforts from the district to the panchayat levels. "There will also be sub-committees at every level," he said.
Tejashwi urged alliance leaders to highlight their achievements before the public. "Go to the people and tell them we gave seven lakh jobs in 17 months of the Mahagathbandhan govt in the state. There is corruption everywhere in Bihar. Raise your voice against it," he said.

RJD MP Manoj Jha added, "There is no confusion about leadership in our alliance. The people of Bihar know who will be the leader." He said the meeting was aimed at channeling the current wave of public sentiment for change in the state.
The alliance also resolved to corner the Nitish Kumar govt on rising crime. Former MP Mangani Lal Mandal said, "The govt should be questioned on crime."
VIP chief Mukesh Sahani dismissed any ambiguity over the chief ministerial face. "Everything is clear. Those who have votes will lead," he said. On speculation around him being projected as deputy CM, Sahani said, "Everything will be decided at the right time."

Tejashwi Yadav Slams Nitish Kumar Over Muzaffarpur Rape Case
Patna: Bihar Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his government on Monday over the Muzaffarpur rape case and medical negligence at PMCH that led to the death of a 10-year-old Dalit girl. Speaking to the media, Tejashwi Yadav said, "Whether it's law and order, healthcare, education, or employment, this double-engine government has failed completely. The Chief Minister has never expressed regret on any such issue. I doubt if he even knows about this brutal rape case."
