‘We hold no hate': Family forgives driver after teen's tragic death

The family of a 15-year-old girl tragically killed in a car rollover near a popular camping ground say they 'hold no hate in our hearts' for the driver involved in what they describe as a 'tragic accident.'
Caitlyn Bragger was one of six teenagers in a Toyota Landcruiser that crashed on Scarp Road in Hoffman, in WA's South West, on Saturday night.

The car rolled several times, police said, and Caitlyn died at the scene from her injuries.
In a compassionate message to the driver — who has not been charged — the grieving teen's family said they hope he can heal.
'We want to make it clear that we hold no hate in our hearts toward the driver,' relatives said in a statement on Tuesday.
'What happened was a tragic accident, and we know in our hearts that Caitlyn would have forgiven him, just as she always led with love and understanding.
'We understand that people make mistakes and poor decisions — and sadly, some carry unimaginable consequences.

Caitlyn's family said the teen was a 'ray of sunshine in every room she entered.'
'Caitlyn was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunty, and friend,' they said.
'She was vibrant, outgoing, and full of life. There was never a dull moment with Caitlyn. Her presence lit up every space and brought warmth to every heart.
'Known for her unwavering kindness, unique sense of humour, and deep love for her family and friends, Caitlyn made a lasting impression on everyone she met.'
They said the teen had a passion for all things outdoors — 'whether it was camping, four-wheel-driving, or spending time at the beach.'
'Those moments brought her true joy,' loved ones said.
'Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy to so many.
'Though her time with us was far too short, her spirit will live on in the memories we cherish and the lives she touched.
'Caitlyn's legacy is one of love, laughter, and light — a beautiful soul who will never be forgotten.
'Love you, miss you.'
A karaoke event called Raise Your Voice For Caitlyn will be held at the Australind Tavern on Friday night to help raise funds for the family.
Caitlyn's heartbroken family have also launched an online fundraiser to help cover her funeral expenses.
